So much is going on in the family that I barely have time for myself... But... Last January 8th, the owner of my wedding venue got married to his beautiful wife. They invited us to their gorgeous wedding who turned out to be the most beautiful ceremony I have ever seen, not to mention a wonderful reception! They made this video a few days later, they also went to Venice as my hubby and I did and look what a wonderful video it came out... Love love love love it!!! What do you think?!? Isn't Venice the most romantic place in the world?!?

1st Year Anniversary - from you and me to family

Hello brides! A little bit late, but I want to share my Anniversary date with you all.. A little over one year has passed ( 09/09/09) and everything seems so different and yet so wonderful in my life! On July 15th I gave birth to our first son, Giovanni. A little Miracle in our hands... When we got married we both agreed on having kids soon. We didn't want to set a date on when to have our first one.. But when I got pregnant we were so surprised... Never expected to be as soon... We were very lucky! During pregnancy, everybody was telling me it would be a girl and inside me I was really happy... "wow, a baby girl to treat like a princess"... I knew Mirco would have loved to have a baby boy and well, we waited till the end to know if it was a boy or a girl and when we found out it was Giovanni... Well, I was the happiest woman ever... I made Mirco such a great gift, right?;) As for our first Anniversary, we stayed all day with Giovanni, going to the mall ( teh only place where we knew Giovanni wasn't too cold or too hot) and we had planned a dinner out for two for the night. Mom was supposed to stay with Giovanni... Unluckily I got a bit sick and i was really too tired to go out for dinner... Not too bad, we just spent some more time with my family and Giovanni. I hope we will find some other time to spend sometime just the two of us... lol... Anyway, if you have a look at the first pict( the three of us), I am wearing the necklace he got me for our Anniversary. OIt is a white gold necklace, with a pendent on it. It seems like a one and has three brillant on it: one year, we're three... that's what Mirco meant to say;) I got him a very nice watch that he can wear on special occasions... I really like it a lot... I wanted something that he could save trhough the years... and a watch seemed to be the best thing to do... What do you think? What about my baby boy? Hello brides!!! 10 months and 6 days after Mirco and I exchanged our vows, a little miracle has come in our life: welcome Giovanni!!! Giovanni was born on July 15th at 11.11p.m. after a few hours of labour... I gave him birth in the water. An extraordinary and still unbelieable experience that I suggest to anyone... He has brought a ray of light in our families... My mom is at Seventh Heaven, she couldn't wait... It seems she has another child now... My in laws are over happy since they wanted a boy and the boy has come... We thought it was a girl, tho... It is so funny... When Giovanni came out of the water, I haven't asked for the first min. if it was a boy or a girl, it was the last of my thoughts... Then, I asked and they said: it's a boy! I was sooooo surprised, but really it was the best surprise in my life! I love him so much... Now I love two men... ah ah ah... my hubby and my baby boy... Thank you all girls for the comments you have posted in the previous posts and thank you Aimee (aimee114) for your entry... Giovanni sends you kisses from Italy... Love his Canadian auntie :) Babies are gifts ... Thank you God for the greatest gift we could ever expect !

Wedding Video - we got our wedding video back... It turned out wonderful !!!

Hello brides! A few left to finally welcome our first child... Mirco and I are getting super excited and extremely anxious... Anytime can be the right time... And this makes me really stressed... Just think... You plan a wedding and you know exactly the day, the time, the party ( more or less)... Something can go wrong but eventually you can plan most of it... When it happens with the delivery of a baby, you don't know the day, the time, where you are and how things will be going... This stresses me so much... Oh goodness... Anyway, as a Wedding gift one of the best men and my maid of honor have hired a videographer for our Wedding Day. We have waited for the wedding video for ten month (lol), and last week we got it back... You know what, all the time waiting, it all worth it.... I have never watched anything similar. I love it so much!!! I could watch it over and over again. He captured everything important in the celebration, party, details, etc. We are so happy, really!!! I can't stop thanking Francesco and Sara to have given us such a a great gift, cause these memories will remain for the rest of our life :) My advice to the brides to be is to find a good videographer and spend a few money on it... It is something priceless and timeless :) You could add it to your wedding gift list, so maybe you can save that money... We weren't really satisfied with the picts, but now we know we can have thousands of picts taken from the video and I am so happy of this !!! Since the wedding video is about a hour and half long, I can't upload it over here, so I will try to upload part of the little clips that my brother has taped during the Wedding Day... Enjoy !!!

Hello brides! It's almost ten month I am a married woman... wow, time flies!!! This makes me wonder if there is any tipe or advice us married ones who still love to blog over weddingbycolor could give all the brides to be. Even if it is not specifically for their Wedding Day, but for their future together with their husband. Here it is mine: anytime it is possible, take sometime just for the two of you. It may be a week end together ( that doesn't necessary mean spending a lot of money), or a date out, or simple a night walk. Sharing moments of cuddles and kisses once you are married will make you remember your first dates, your first heart beats. You will find yourself at the beginning again... And this is really helpful, especially when things may get complicated or stressfull... What about you?!? I am really happy to know what do you think... Also, these are the latest picts I have taken of the belly ( 20 days to go, now 17!!!!) during our last week end at the beach... We really enjoyed being just the two of us :) Happy planning!

Hello Brides! Gosh, I can't believe it's July already... almost 10 months I have been married to the love of my life and almost a mom ( 23 days to go is everything goes as planned!!!). The topic of the day is: How did you pick your wedding party?!? Especially, the girls?!? Any regrets??? And to the married ladies, have you kept in touch since the wedding or not? I can tell, I still hang out and talk so much with my moh, who has also recently graduated from University (YAY for Sara!!!!) and we held a great party for her success ;) On the other side, I haven't kept in touch with the other two girls... About one, it was my choice not to keep as much in touch, as I really didn't like her attitude and I found out our point of views in life are completely different. Plus, I don't like how she talks bad about everything and everyone... Such a bad way of living your life, right?!? The second one, well, she hasn't called or kept in touch with me at all, not even after I told her I was expecting. She completely changed since I got married. I simply know that she changed not only toward me, but also with all the other friends. I tried to keep in touch for a few months, but then I realized that after all, it's her life and if she is not interested, I shouldn't bother her as much... Anyway, I guess it is still all part of life changes after wedding... You enter another world... Now the answer is up to you... Have a great day !!!!

Hello brides! How's the planning going?!? Yesterday watching youtube, I came across this wonderful video, that may help many brides who like to work on DIY projects and are on a budget... It basically teaches you how to make a pretty dress spending less than 10 dollars. I directly thought of all of you... It may be used as a bachelorette party dress, as a reharsal dress, etc. Plus it is all home made :) Let me tell you if you're gonna try this... Giood morning brides! This is my 7th "monthersary" with my hunny... I couldn't expect anything to be better than how it is going... Loving each other as if we were always in Honeymoon... expecting our first child ( and this Bean is kicking so much that, even if I am only at week 25th, Mirco can clearly notice the tummy moving... that's awesome!)... still planning lot of things together... I have noticed I have never posted any pict of my hairstyle for hte Big Day. i consider myself pretty lucky, because I have found a sweet hairdresser who could really understand my desires and accomplish them... I grew my hair very long to have a good result in the end... I loved the idea of an updo, since I find it a bit more romantic and less everyday style... Plus, mom had bought me a sweet, lovely tiara ( not too bright, not too large, exacrly how I wanted it), whcih costed her a fortune, but which matched perfectly the hairstyle... I'll leave you a few pictures if you are still in search of a hairstyle... Oh yes, I did forget to mention, the hairdresser also added some pearl pins in the back... Wedding Photography - Photoshop anyone?!?

Hello Brides! For all of you who are already married, or for all the brides to be who consider the Photographer in their Big Day one of the most important figures, has any of you thoughts of learning to use Photoshop in a professional way?!? I find myself really involved in Photography... Now we are picking the different tecniques of our wedding album, which will be a not traditional one, but a digital one...We aren't as happy of the first results that the photgrapher has showed us ( not a news... we weren't as accomplished by the pictures too...), so I am now searching online for inspirations... And the more I look at webset and search the net, the more I find myself involved in the photography world... Searching teh net, as I found myself a bit frustrated looking at all the wonderful images coming from other albums, I found an inspirational sentence :everything will be ok in the end, if it's not ok, it's not the end... I wrote it down in my facebook profile, to remember me that I will have to keep it strong and learn and reach the results we want to have for our album! Also, this will be a reminder for our maternity pictures... I don't think we will call any professional, but get inspired by ourself and call some friends to take the pictures... Lesson learned by our wedding opictures in Venice, which turned out beautiful!!!! Any of you ladies is thinking of doing the album by yourself?!?

Hello WBC brides! It's been such a long time since I have last posted, but I keep on following your blogs, as I still find so much inspiration by your creativity... Well, In the first days of November, right after my Bday, we found out we were expecting... About two months after the wedding... Since then, we're experiencing such a great joy in teh family... We knew we didn't want to be just us, cause we love a big family, but most of people seemed to tell us that usually it takes a while to have a child.... And between the stress of the wedding and the high rythms at work, we werrn't expecting to happen this fast.... But what a great Gift it has been given to us!!!! I have just started the 6th month, so I miss less than four months... The due date should be July 23rd... As yo ucan't imagine... I cvan't wait for Summer to arrive...lol.... The very first months I have been a lòot sick, but now I am enjoying the maternity moments... Mirco calls me "full of grace"...lol... I have been out of work since last December... This is a bad chapter, since my boss, as he knew I was pregnant, moved me from my secretary job to a warehouseman job... Crazy, I know... Luckily the Italian law and a special defense department have helped me and now I am on a full paycheck but at home ( it is called compulsory early maternity leave due to high risks jobs)... But, as soon as my maternity leave will be over,I'll have to find another job, as it is not my intention to keep on being in that company... I think you can understand... Anyway how, happy planning everybody girls! And once again, enjoy your days before the Big Day :)

Good morning brides!!! Today was cleaning time at home... lol... and it was time for bedrooms and restroom... Of course I ended up looking at so much wedding stuff left from 09/09/09... Nothing that I want to get rid of, as it means so much to Mirco and me, but still that I need to storage and keep it safe... So, I thought that the best idea is to keep all the stuff in good conditions and still not being too messy... So, I came up with the idea of using trunks... They are so romantic and they can be either modern or traditional, you can paint them or decoupage them the way you want, or you can keep them in a modern version, depends on how your furniture looks like. And you won't have to hide everything... Plus, once your friends come over, they could be suprised how well you keep your wedding stuff... What do you girls think?!? Or are you having any other ideas?!?!?

Good morning WBC brides! Today I am corious to know if any of you have experienced problems between your fh and your family... or if they get along very well... I know at times are the families who do not like the fh? But how's about the opposite? Lucky me, my hubby loves my family and my family loves him :) My mom treats him like her son and she is always very proud to call him "son in law"...lol... Wedding Photography - thank you cards / coffee table books

I know it's been almost five months... But slowly Mirco and I are thanking all of our guests with handmade thank you cards and to the most important people ( our parents and grandmom) a coffee table book... We found great deas! We only spent 30 euros each for two coffee table books which contained almost 120 picts... In a small version, but they really loved the idea!!! They actually were so happy of the book and didn't expect anything like that... For Mirco's grandmom, i am now sending a new order for a smaller version of the coffee tabel book which contains 45 picts... It's only 10 euros... Great deal! Yesterday, i only met up with part of my uncles and aunts and gave them our first thank you cards. Some of them weren't even at the wedding, but still I thought it wasa good idea to at least give them some memories of our 09/09/09 day :) They seemes happy to receive them... I also loved how they turned out...They are very simple and doesn't take as long to make them, I am making a few each week, so we can personally give them to everyone wo shared the day with us. We are also waiting for our big version of the coffee table from our photographer... I don't know if it's common in North America that the photographer make a large book with all your favorite picts?!? Here it is included in the price of the photo session.... I really hope it will turn out great... we also added many picts from Venice, which are our favorite picts...lol... Happy planning everyone!!!!

Hello WBC brides! Today I wanna spend a few words over books... I worked in a Library for a year back in 2006/2007 ( that's where I met my husband) and I am a book lover! I am not the kind of person who only read classic books, I am very into the best sellers ( I think, if there are many people reading them, there must be a reason...), especially novels and mostly "women novels". Since this first part of 2010 is definately representing a quiete new time for myself, not working and trying to rest as much as possible, I found so much time for reading. Actually, I have already read 3 books since the beginning of the year ( 20 days) and I would like to share some of my tastes with you... So between wedding planning, house works and work some of you may find sometime to relax ;) here's my list so far: THE RISE AND FALL OF A YUMMY MUMMY- POLLY WILLIAMS THE DEVIL WEARS PRADA - LAUREN WEISBERGER CHASIN HARRY WINSTON - LAUREN WEISBERGER EVERYONE WORTH KNOWING - LAUREN WEISBERGER BEFORE I DIE - JENNY DOWNHAM MARLEY AND ME - JOHN GROGAM THE LAST LECTURE - RANDRY PAUSCH( this is a must-read, it is not a novel, but a wonderful life experience, a new way to live your live in every single moment.... it is an inspiration, truly!) I LOVE SHOPPING... - SOPHIE KINSELLA ( all of the saga.... it also includes a book about her wedding which is hilarious!!!!)

So, last Saturday, January 16th, my lovely hubby turned 33... getting old...lol... He is so amazing and I am very happy that this year we could have two big Birthday party for him... Last year was time for saving for the Wedding, this year we could take a breath and do a bigger thing. We invited our friends for a pizza at home on Sunday night and we were a total of ten (plus one;) people.. we had a blast and I loved how Mirco loved that time all together!!! He also got two great gifts : three fishes ( yeah!!!!) and a new videogame for the nintendo wii.... we love the wii :):):) Yesterday night it was the family party time... oh goodness, we have reached the goal to join the whole two families ( except for his bro in law and little baby his sister had in september)... IT was a great time... there was all of my family... My nieces really love their time with him and he seems so much ready for babies... yay for us ;) then, on the top of the party, our best man came in the restaurant and surprised with a wonderful birthday cake ( same type as the wedding cake....)... and frittelle, which are small sort of cupcakes typical in Italy during Carnival time... he was wonderful , really!!! He is simply the best!!!! He worked all day from 8.30 am till 7.30 pm, then rushed to his house to have supper, in the middle of the supper took his car to get us the cake and immediatly got back to have the rest of the supper.... he is super... Thank you, Francesco!!!!!

Wedding Video - how can I upload the first videos?!?

Good morning wbc brides! As Mirco and I are waiting for the official wedding video to arrive ( oh it's been more than four months, but we're not complaining since it will turn out amazing! It will worth the waiting), we also do have the official video from the reception ( that is long more than two hours and it is soooooo fabolous, it seems like to relive everything!). Yesterday mom was over here and since she had never seen the video, we showed her and she was sooo happy, she still thinks it is the most amazing wedding she has ever been in. She keeps saying that all of the guests keep talking about it and how greatly it turned out. This really bring me joy, especially because we know that the guests had fun and not a boring time! Now, how could I upload some of the short videos over wbc that my brother recored at the recpetion?!? I really would love to share them with all of you!!! Haiti - Just remember them...

Maybe Haiti would of have never been a destination for our Honeymoon, maybe some of us didn't even know that Haiti has always been ( way before what has happened a few days ago) one of the poorest country in whole America. Maybe we don't know that the life avarage now if 16 years.... Maybe we don't know that most of the kids who born there are soon to be orphans and won't have the bright future that most of us have. Maybe we have never thought of adopting kids, so much concerned in our own dramatically normal life, BUT now we are SURELY conscious of what has happened, we know the numbers of the catastopher, we clearly know what we can do (donations, food, anything can be done!). WE CAN'T REALLY KEEP OUR EYES CLOSED RIGHT NOW! Last year was the turn of "my Italy", with a horrible earthquake that has devasted an entire town with more than 200 people dead... nothing compared to Haiti, but still hit Italy in a very dramatic way... It is now our intention as a family to do something for Haiti as a family and since we have always thought of having a distance adoption, this may be the right time to start one or to give the donations to any other offical organization... I thank the wbc site for reminding us this terrible earthquake and suggesting us to be an active part in this... Thank you!

Hubby and I, we both love to cook... The best part is that we help each other so much while in the kitchen, which means it is a great way to share our time together doing a common activity! We kind of have our "favorite" dishes to do ourselves... I do love cooking cakes, they are a must to me, I reached an avarage of 3 cakes a week cooked in the past few months ( I love to make them and offer them to our friends when they come over or simply giving them to our families, who love to recieve these kind of gifts...lol... He loves to cook meat and pasta, creating many sauces all with his fantasy...lol... Today I am making ragù, which is the most traditional meat sauce in Italy... it is soooo yummy and I hope it turns out well... it is the first time i am making all by myself... oh goodness... this is what happens when Hubby is at work and I am compusory at home ( I will explain in the next few days the reason why I am not at work...)... Anyway, let me know if your hubby or fh are of any help in the kitchen, if they adore cooking or what else?!? I am just so curious ...lol...

Hello brides! Have you ever planned on re- using you wedding gown after the Wedding Day? Sessions like Trash the Dress / photo sessions of the couple days after the wedding / turn it into a ceremony dress that can be worn in special occasions/ etc. If so, where do you plan to take picts? By the beach/ a particular place that signed you love/ a particular town you both love /etc. I have already used my wedding dress two more times other than my Wedding Day: on the Honeymoon ( yay, I could fit it in a suitcase with my hubby's tux!!!) during the Gala night... if you go on a cruise, I would suggest you to do the same... everybody will appreciate you!!!! You will make other people dream and dream.... which is something beautiful nowadays! An unprofessional photo session taken in Venice... I loved it so so so much!!! It is my favorite place ever, the most romantic and timeless city in the world ( I know I am so much patriotic, but well... it's true!!!) and it is a dream that became true!!! Bridesmaids - the accesories they got for the Wedding Day

Since my bridesmaids dresses weren't orange, but a very elengant ivory with flower accents here and there... looking at the accesories we needed to focus on orange details, to make them match to the wedding theme... So here's what we thought: - hair clips: it was an orange small flower on the hair ( everyone picked a different hairstyle which so far was the best, since they all have different lenghts, different hair colors and different styles...); - stole: it was the best orange stole we could find... especially because here in Italy it is compulsory to wear sleeves in church, unless you have a stole which must cover your shoulders... so it was a must over a compulsory thing; - a small orange gerberas bouquet... Happy New Year Brides and Brides to be!!! May this year bring you lot of joy and hapiness and many significant events!!! So, it's been almost four months I have beeen married and the more I think about my wedding Day, the happier I am... But... how many of you have thought that if tehy could turn back, they would of have changed their wedding colors?!? This is a question even for you all brides to be ;) Each color is so meaningful that it is really difficult to pick the right one!

Hello wbc brides!!! Goodness, I can't believe Christmas is tomorrow!!! Time literally flies by!!! Luckily, despite all the sickness I have experienced this last motnh, I have reached my goal to buy all the Christmas gifts in time... Yay for me!!! And I also took sometime to wrap them!!! Yes, the last few years I was working so much I didn't have time to do ANYTHING... This Christmas, my first Christmas as a mariied woman, I finally accomplished this goal... ...But... my daily question is: who are you spending your Christmas at?!? Your parents Your parents in law/future in laws Just you and your hubby/hubby to be For what concerne my family, well, Mirco and I are trying to spend equal time with my parents and the inlaws. At lunch we will be at my in law's. They really didn't accept any excuse for us not being there... lol... With a very big loss in the family withing the last month ( my uncle Renzo, my father's brother, suddenly died by heart attack at the age of 57), I really wanted to spend sometime with my parents... But we find a way to spend time with them too, and we eventually asked them to come for supper over here and they are quiete happy of this! So, any other of you doing a culinary "tour de force" to accomplish all parents' desires?!? Merry Christmas to everybody, girls. Enjoy this peaceful time and hope it brings all of you lot of joy, happiness, hope and unity.
