I FINALLY found a hairstyle that I Love!

The only thing I wanna do differently is have a little more poof, but not too much :)

I've finished my bouquet and I've put together all the bridesmaids bouquets, but haven't ribboned all of them. I think I'm just going to buy a cheap one to throw. I bought everything to make the bouquets at different times when they were 50% off!!!! I'm very excited about how they've turned out, especially mine!

I've designed a couple of different monograms and this is the one I like the best so far!!!

I was really worried about how our pictures were going to turn out because Justin HATES having his picture taken, but I LOVE them. (Or at least half of them :))) Our photographer (Karen McDonald) did a WONDERFUL job and I am so pleased!!!

Now the hard part.... Which ones to get??? I got a 4x6 in color and in black and white of all 68, but I'm only posting some of my fav.... hopefully you ladies can help me narrow it down to the best!!!

So I finally completed my first DIY project. It all started with the idea of bridal party responsibility cards.

I made each BM and my MOH a card. I simply designed it in Window's Word, then printed it off on cardstock. I then went to Wal Mart and got envelopes and decorated each one.

For my "responsibility cards," I made a Handy Dandy BM/MOH Booky. ;) It's simply some index cards with different info such as: their responsibilities; care for their Tshrits; a card saying if they don't want to do it to let me know now; 3 months before the wedding calendars; two blank pages for notes/info; and the other BM's numbers - along with mine and the groom's.

Originally I had designed a shirt at designashirt.com (which have the best prices I've found on the internet). But for you brides with some extra time, wanting to save some money, I ended up spenind $7.20 on each shirt in total. I bought the shirts for $4 at Micheals and then bought Iron on transfers from Walmart and made them on the computer.

I've very excited about the gifts, and I think the girls really liked them.

So I REALLY like the idea of "save the dates," so I went online to magnetstreetweddings.com and ordered samples. I recieved them a week later and LOVE the idea! The only problem being that we don't have money in our budget for invitations AND save the dates, so I had an idea...

The mini magnets come with a small card to hold them in, and you can write on the back. So I thought about sending the save the dates as the actual inviations and writing the formal stuff on the back of the card. I mean how often does anyone send out a magnet for their invitation??? I like different things and I thought people would be more apt to keep them as oppose to throwing them out like they do invitaions.

My FMI didn't really like the idea and said that she would pay for the save the dates and we could pay for the invitations, which was REALLY REALLY sweet, but I hate for her to spend her money on save the dates because I really don't find them AND invitations necessary, and the save the dates are a lot cheaper than invitations...

Any advice???

Although we've been engaged since last October, yesterday was our first time actually buying stuff. I found some good deals at Hobby Lobby...

Right now all there stem florals are 50% off, so I got:
-All the orange and red calla lilies they had (36)
-Some red berries (3 branches)
-A creamy buttermilk Hydrangea Spray

I also got the important tools:
-Hot glue gun and glue
-Floral tape
-Floral wire
-Ribbon (also 50% off)

And three fall baskets. All this was under $85.

Also for all you Fall brides, all of their fall stuff is on sale right now :)

I had a great day, and am so excited about finally getting started! I can't wait to start putting stuff together!!!

So, I've been on vacation visting my family for the past 8 days and I haven't seen Justin :( Really, I haven't even got to talk to him that much. I'm going home tomorrow, and although I'm gonna miss my family down here, I CAN'T WAIT to see him!!! (and the rest of my family =)~ ) I'm gonna time my trip to where I will arrive at his house about the same time he gets home from work.

I know this has nothing do do with the wedding, but I miss him so much and I know you ladies feel the same way I do when you haven't seen your FH in a week. I'm so EXCITED, but dreading going back to work :0)

I love this idea for our fall wedding. I'm thinking of placing a small wooden L on the leaves.... The only downfall is this DIY project can't really be done in advance, but this would be a great project for the groomsmen!

I've found the wedding cake and groom's cake that I just about have my heart set on. I'd like the wedding cake to be just like the picture, but with a monogram L topper (compliments of www.theknot.com), and the groom's cake to be like the picture but only 2 tiers.

My FH is a born and raised country boy and loves hunting, so I want to add some camo here and there. Not so much that it becomes a redneck wedding, just enough to let him know it's OUR day not just MY day.

What do you ladies think? I don't want to be tacky, but I want him to be included, and I REALLY like this cake. (I googled camo wedding cakes).

Seeing as how my mother lives in GA and I live in TN, we decided to go dress shopping while I was down so she could have some part in the wedding planning. I didn't buy anything cause the wedding is still 15 months away, but I did find one that I LOVE! What do you girls think? How far in advance should a dress be bought? Also there is one that I still want to try on from David's Bridal.

Justin's younger brother was killed in a car wreck December 11th, 2006, 7 days before his 17th birthday. I've been trying to think of a unique way to honor Jordan and have just about decided on this candle, which I found for a pretty good price. Jordan would have been the best man, so I thought about having the candle sit on a column symmetrical to where the unity ceremony will take place, and have the maid of honor place a boutonniere beside it, and the best man light the candle upon their enterance. Any other unique ideas?

So it was almost time for my birthday and he wouldn't even hint about what he had got me. I kept telling him I wanted a dog and somehow I got to thinking he was gonna get me a jacket. :)

A couple nights before we were gonna celebrate my birthday he came over to the house and said that he wouldn't have my gift until later because it wasn't here yet.

My grandmother had asked if I thought it was a ring and I told her no that he wasn't going to propose to me anytime soon.. which I honestly believed. We had talked about it a few times but he didn't really act interested... Men :)

We had my party on a Saturday and the following Monday he told me I had to come over to his house after I got off work so we could go get my gift. I asked why he couldn't stop at the post office on his way home so I could have it sooner. His response was that we had to go get it together. So then my hopes were back on a puppy instead of a jacket.

After work I drove to his house and then we got in his truck to go get my gift. I still had no clue he was going to propose until he turned off the main road to go towards one of his papal's hayfields - which is his favorite place in the world to be. I remembered way back when he said if he ever proposed that's where he would do it at. At this point I knew what my gift was but played dumb so his suprise wouldn't be ruined. :)

He said he had to check on something real fast... he had me sit on the tail-gate of his truck while he walked to the hay rake.... he came back and had the box open and my beautiful ring was sparkling like nothing I've ever seen... He was shaking so bad the sun glistened off it even more :) I didn't think he was ever gonna ask, but he finally did and I said YES!!!

Oh, come to find out, the night he said my gift wasn't here yet, is the night he bought my ring :)~
