Wedding Card Box
Here's my card box! I am so happy with the turn out! It was so much fun! My FH cut the bottoms out and my Future Stepson painted the wood D for me!
Here's what I did: 1) Bought 3 Hat boxes from Tuesday Morning- Small, Medium, Large. 2) Bought cardstock 12 x 12 scrapbook paper, purple flowers, a wood D 3) rounded up embellishments I had from other projects: ribbon, buttons, glitter 4) Covered the boxes in self adhesive photo squares and wrapped the boxes with the scrapbook paper. Used hot glue to reinforce some areas. 5) Cut off access paper 6) Carved out the lid of box #2, leaving 1" for box #1 to sit on to be glued on to. Carved out the lid on box #3, did the same thing to glue the middle box to. 7) carved out the bottom of box #1 and 2, leaving that space to glue onto the box. 8) glued all 3 boxes together. 9) Carved a slot on the top lid 10) Tested the slot with various size envelopes 11) decorated with ribbon (made 3 X's to symbolize 10-10-10), dipped old buttons in glue and then in purple glitter, glued to the top of each lid, glued on flowers 12) Painted the D, covered in glue, dipped in glitter, let dry, glued to the top lid of box #1 I might add a few pictures, but I am really happy with it! A Play on a Candy Buffet
Hello brides! I feel as I am getting closer, more is piling on my plate and more ideas come my way. I came across a Make Your Own Cupcake Station idea that I love. So that idea has manifested into an entire desert station.
Here's my "vision:" I am still going to have a cake to cut and serve. Then in the spirit of my baseball theme I would like to have a table set up after dinner that will have the cupcakes with fun bowls filled with sprinkles, chocolate chips, frostings and fillings to Make your Own. Then we are going to have a cotton candy machine, tootsie roll pops, bubble gum and bags of cracker jacks. There will be bags to bring home the sweets. I would like to have a sign that says "Take Me Out to The Ballgame," and then name the table "Steve and Tiffany's Concession Stand" and add in a blurb that will let the guests know that this is in place of thank you favors....any advice on wording for the signs. ANY HELP WOULD GLADLY BE APPRECIATED! |

Wedding Dress
My twist for my Flower Girl....
My Flowergirl...
She is a theme on her own! It was one of the first big decisions I made, before I was set on colors, theme and everything. I have a thing for Tinkerbell....so instead of doing flower petals, she is going to sprinkle pixie dust! We are going to customize the outfit a bit with purple ribbon, purple shoes! Ah my dress, such a wonderful experience....my sister (my MOH) picked it out after the first dreadful dress I selected and I was very hesitant. It was the complete opposite of what I had intended on getting. Bridesmaids: I chose 2 different dresses, one strapless and then the other has a strap over the shoulder. Both are dark purple, Lapis, long and jersey material. LOVE them! What do you think? |

Inspiration- Thanks to the lovely Martha Stewart, I finally found my olor scheme Candle Centerpieces that I would like to do on the 4 feating tables (2-8' tables beside each other with 12 guests). Purple Vases- a steal of a deal at Home Goods that I am looking at going back and getting. I am renting bases for 5 of my round tables for 18" flower stems to stick out of (in shades of dark purple an Linen Colors- the blue satin will be on my head table (4- 8' tables with bridal party and spouses oing around) and cake table. Then my feating tables will be in purple linens and light blue will be on |

Wedding Details
Since I apparently have been hiding under a rock during the last 9 months of my wedding planning until I found this website, I figured I would share the details we have found already.
Candle Centerpieces: The google search I found this on was a bride that bought drinking glasses of all different sizes with candles. Then I would put rose petals around. Thoughts? Purple Vases: I am debating on buying them.... Lines: LOVE, LOVE, LOVE |

Engagement Pictures
Here are our favorite pictures from our engagement shoot back in March. After registering at Target, I received a $20 discount to Shutterfly, which I used to get reprints of our favorites to put in frames and have on tables and scattered throughout th wedding.
If anyone has ideas of what to do with the pictures....let me know! I already put together a 30 page wedding guest book (also from Shutterfly!). |

Take me out to the ballgame wedding?
No we are not doing a red, white and blue shin dig with hot dogs...but baseball plays a large role in both of our lives.
1) My Dad has played for YEARS 2) My parents met because of BASEBALL and have been married for 31 years. 3) I was raised on the softball field! 4) My Aunt went into labor at a softball game. 5) My cousin went into labor at a softball game (my Aunt's daughter 22 years later) 6) My FH has played for years 7) My FH's son is the future MLB MVP! So after selecting our colors, we decided we needed a theme and baseball was the most practical and meaningful. Then we realized that our colors matched our favorite team's (The Rays) colors. We did a Baseball Save The Date, our cake topper and favor will be baseball themed? Any other ideas |

Some projects on the agenda:
Ok, so any input will gladly be taken....
Card Box: Would love to make a replica of our cake. We already have a cake topper, but the 3 letter initial on the top of this cake and design and look of the cake would be cute to duplicate for the card box? Thoughts? Wedding Wish Jar: Bought my jar, purple stones (vase fillers), ribbon, purple and blue paper and a purple metallic sharpie to decorate with. Not sure on the poem...does anybody have any good ideas? Ring Bearer Pillows: I have made many decorative pillows for my house and have not been able to find a pillow I like at all....so why not make it?! Any thoughts or ideas will gladly help....will post pics as they come! |

Wedding Reception
10-10-10 Wedding
Hello Ladies!
I love the idea of being a Blogging Bride to be. I tried it on another site, but didn't stick to it. So after stalking all of you wonderful ideas....I decided I would jump on this and chronicle the last 93 days of the planning and journey of pulling off diy projects I just stumbled upon. Here is my venue, South Florida Museum Spanish Plaza Courtyard. My wedding was planned for October 10 because of the AWESOMENESS of the date of 10-10-10. After a play with quite a few color combinations, I chose to do a Twilight theme and NO not vampires (although I am a Twi-heart!) but the colors of the sky at Twilight (time of ceremony): Dark purple and light blue! |
