Wedding Hair Style
More Hair....change of heart
Well the more I think of it the more I want a romantic and classy look for teh wedding. I'm not sure if I still want the side chignon like before and it is only further complicated by my not so good hair trial last weekend. I'm thinking more along this line.....any thoughts?

Clinking Glasses
The Bain of my existence!!!
Joe and I have gotten in multiple heated discussions lately regarding the "clanking glasses" tradition at weddings. I HATE IT! I think it is obnoxious and somewhat distasteful..... I mean.....we are paying for the food....atleast have the decenc to let me eat it.
We have discussed other options: - ringing bells...an irish tradition - telling a joke to get a kiss -Singing a song with the word "Love" in it....(MY FAVORITE IDEA!!!) but Joe just isn't for it. I came across this option tonight with this sweet little poem.....it has potential.....what do you think? Hershey's Kisses Kissing Game Please no tinkling of glasses or bells rung out loud, We'd prefer something different from this lovely crowd. We've filled a box with Hershey chocolates and set it aside Near the Head Table at which sit the Groom and the Bride. If it's a kiss that you're after come forward and stand, Now roll up your sleeve and dig in with your hand. Reach down deep and retrieve a Kiss of GOLD, A smooch between the Bride and Groom you'll behold. But if you pull out a SILVER Kiss in your quest, Then you'll be required to kiss another guest! |

Wedding Hair Style
The drama continues....
So last weekend, Joe and I went to Milwaukee for our last trip before teh wedding. We got our marriage license, met with the DJ, met with the music director at teh church, and celebrated Joe's Birthday with his family. I also had my wedding hair tril on Saturday. It was just ridiculous!
It started by teh ladies taking me in late, by 15 minutes, and then ending my visit early. The hair stylist didn't even finish my hair and told methat our time was up. Bobby pins were falling out of my hair as I walked and the style was not at all what I wanted......and I brought pictures! I was pretty upset and luckily the two girls who went with me urged me to complain and get my money back. I did. If I wasn't all ready booked with 12 other people for teh day of teh wedding I would have cancelled with this salon. They ended up giving me my money back and scheduling me for another hair trial the week of the wedding.....the Wednesday before. Hopefully it all works our better next time....we'll see........Pictures to come. The pictur on the left is how I want my hair for the wedding. |

2 WEEKS TO GO!!!
and everything is done!
Well...almost everything. I just have a few checks to write and packing for our road trip next week. I'm sooooooo glad that everything was done so early because next week is all ready crazy booked with wedding prep things and military training....erggggg!
On a different note, not having a ton of things to do has really helped my stress level. Anyone relate? |

Humor
Still slightly wedding related
Joe and I have both talked about what could happen to our marriage. In a nutshell, we both don't believe in divorce. I don't ever plan on getting a divorce.....though honestly does anyone?
I found this incredibly humorous blog the other day while reading on WBC. I ended up reading the whole thing in one sitting. It is really interesting because it is quite funny and at times I found myself laughing out loud (at work BTW) and at other times I found myself really feeling for the man writing. I hope all his book dreams do come true.....But for now.....and for all of your enjoyment.....please check out: myexwifesweddingdress.com So, on another note.....not to be the dark cloud....but have any of you talked with you FH about divorce???? |
