Tutu's! I LOVE this!
So, I teach dance and I also coach cheerleading.
Found this picture of a bride and all her little dance girlies in tutu's dancing around her and I fell in love! I just think these are ADORABLE! Tutu is a must for me! I'd like to say I'm going to talk my brides into this one, but I am keeping it for me!!! HAHAHA! |

Just got home!
Nice long weekend in Virginia.
Hello Ladies.
I just got home from a nice long weekend down in Virginia. Got to have a little get away with the love of my life. Also got to spend some time with my Best Friend/Bride to be - Jillian. We went and checked out her venue. O - M - G ! ! ! It is gorgeous. Its called the Piedmont Club in Haymarket Virginia. (2nd picture posted) I am so excited! There's really not much for us to do though, becuase they do everything for you. So, I am a little bummed. BUT! We did go on a bit of a shopping spree at Fair Oaks. We brought the boys with us, who ended up wandering off and letting us get some girl time in. So, we went into Bailey & Biddle and looked for bridal jewels anddddd I scoped out some rings :o) Oh my goodness. I tried on a 2kt asscher cut, tiffany setting in platinum. I didn't want to take it off. I was in LOVE. So, when we met up with our boys, I casually mentioned that we browsed rings and I found one I liked. He wanted to see it, so we went and checked it out again. He really loved the ring! I never did get the price on it. But I was like this is a little over the top..I didn't want him to think that was it, it had to be huge and expensive. On our 7 hour drive home (!!!), we talked about it! I AM SO EXCITED!! Really, some of the photos are stunning but I just can't stomach ruining a $1,000 gown!! Then part of me is like well, cest la vie! When else are you going to wear it again...its just going to sit in a box and sit in storage. I dunno, I'm on the fence about this one!! |

Wedding Decoration
A continuation of my earlier post...
So, as it stands right now, I can use an amazing restaurant in SU area for Lauren's shower....FOR free. No space rental. Just catering fee. AWESOME!
So my decor idea is the photo/flower boxes posted below with the silver cups of flowers...Damask runners and candlabra's. I'm so excited!!!! I know of a few antique stores/junk stores as the boyfriend likes to call them...and I'm wondering if I can find candlabra's there, give them a soft sanding and spray paint them black. So that will be my next mission!! |

FutureMrsT has created these for her centerpieces for her wedding. SO gorgeous! I absolutely fell in love with these! I think they would be beautiful for Lauren's shower. Her theme is black and white. Laur loves the damask print too.
I actually can't wait to run out and get the stuff to make one of these photo boxes. Funny thing is I have 4 of those silver cups already. I got them at TJMaxx a few years ago and they were used as decor for various things around my old apartment. Alright, I've got to clean my kitchen and get some dinner going for my boy. Bridesmaids
Is it just me or is this a little....questionable...
So, after I've kindly devoted myself to being a stellar MOH...
I woke up this morning and was talking to my roommate Lauren, one of the brides, my best friend. And she casually says to me "Oh, I have your first MOH duty.." and I was like oooookay...thinking she wants me to help her with some dress shopping or something like that. Then she says... "You know those big binders have have all the dividers in them to keep the bride organized and it tells you when to do things like invites and budget keeper..." and I nodded and said "yeah, they have them at barnes and noble, even target I think." And then she says "Yeah, that's your first duty. I want one, so you have to find a good one and buy it for me." The words "you have to" and "buy it for me" keep echoing in my head. Am I on crack for thinking she's wack for saying this, or demanding this? Or is she on crack for demanding this? I told my fellow teacher's at work and they were all like WHAT?! i did just look, it is only around $20, but still...I have a few showers to throw and we are going to NYC for the bachelorette party. |

Bridesmaids
Not the bride, yet. But MOH for several upcoming weddings.
So, I'm here to peruse this site for some darn good ideas!
I am the MOH for my two best friends in the whole world. I plan on giving them the best, as they have in our many years of friendship. I am also a bridesmaid/planner for my Aunt's wedding in October. So, the run down. Jillian is getting married in July 2010. Her colors are tiffany blue and chocolate brown. She's very simple but elegant style. Lauren is getting married September 2010. Her wedding is wine themed and her colors are black, white and red. She's a little more modern and chic. My Aunt Katheryn is getting married this october and her colors are a pewter/violet color with fall accents. |
