Just curious to see what everyone chose. We are dancing to Better Together by Jack Johnson.
When we first started dating, I introduced Steve to Jack Johnson's music because he was one of my favorite musicians. Well Steve had never actually heard of him, but once I played his songs for him, he loved his music so much he went home and burned a cd of his songs. After that, pretty much everywhere we went in the car Jack was playing, and every time Better Together came on hewould say, "This song fits us so well". So, it eventually just became our song!

I am definitely getting a couple of these to either sit outside the entrance to the reception or to decorate some other part of the reception. If they were cheaper I would use them as centerpieces, but if I want to do that I'll have to buy normal pumpkins. The nice thing about the Funkins is that you can keep them, and you can carve them ahead of time. I plan on carving our initials in them.

I just thought I would share this wonderful fall cake topper I found. I love it! It is a little to expensive for me with the Bride and groom, but you can get just the tree alone and add your own bride and groom figurine. So that is what I am going to do. They come in gold or silver. Great for fall, but you can get the gemstones in your wedding colors so you could make it work for any season!

I found this great set of bags for my bridesmaid's yesterday. I got them for only $13 each. I think my bridesmaids will love them. They aren't totally my wedding colors but the base is chocolate brown so I figured it works. I was so excited to find them. I just happened upon them when shopping at sears with my fiance. I just love when I find things when I'm not trying!
I only got them for my MOH and my 2 bridesmaids. I'm going to get my junior bridesmaids some sort of bags like this but something more useful for a 13 year old.

We got engaged December 6th, 2007 and were not planning on getting married until October/November 2009 so we would have time to save money.
But....
My fiance's mother has muscular dystrophy and she started to go downhill, so in order to make sure she will be there, in February we decided to move the wedding up.
So we had about 9 months to plan our wedding instead of 2 years, but it is coming together.
Our biggest challenge...the money. But it is all worth it to know that his mother will be there to see us get married.

So I just wanted to see how much planning time everyone else has/had. What is the average?

Photo #1 Maid of Honor: Sarah Moryken, my best friend since we were 8 years old. She is the closest thing I have to a sister! Even though she moved 3 hours away when I was in 10th grade, we have remained just as close if not become closer.

Photo #2 Bridesmaid: Samantha Rodgers, my best high school friend. We have had lots of crazy times. I don't have one memory from high school that she isn't a part of.

Photo #3 Bridesmaid: Christine Miller, my best college friend. We actually knew each other as an acquaintance in high school, but weren't really friends. We ended up both transferring to the same college in our sophomore year, ran into each other, and became great friends.

No photo yet: Junior Bridesmaids: Kelsey and Courtney Hollenbach, my 13 year old cousins. I am very close to them, they are like my little sisters.

When I first met him, I knew he'd be my boyfriend. By the third date,
I knew he'd be my husband. He told me when he proposed that
he knew he was going to marry me after the third date too.
We were hooked!

I love hearing everyone's stories! Keep them coming! It is amazing
to me to hear the many different ways people fell in love, how in
this whole world those two people managed to find each other! I
am amazed everyday when I wake up that I have someone I love
and who loves me with a passion that is so hard to describe. I think
we all dream about falling in love, but when it actually happens,
it's a million times better!!! That might sound sappy and everything,
but sometimes I think we need to have a little sappiness in our lives lol.

I just had to put this adorable picture of my cousin Brent (The Ring Bearer), and his new little brother, Devin (my godson) on here because it is just so sweet. He is going to be adorable in his little tux! I love these kids like they're my own. My Aunt isn't that much older than me, so she was always more like an older sister to me, so they are more like my nephews than cousins. They're so cute, I almost can't stand it lol!

I bought this veil on ebay, but I haven't recieved it yet so I'm not 100% sure if it will be what I wanted. But for right now this is the veil: White, 2 tiered with scattered pearls!

In my family, the bridal shower is always a surprise, so I have no clue about mine, and I know I have no hope of trying to get it out of anyone lol. Not that I don't try! Haha

I was just curious to see how many people are already living together. My fiance and I don't live together yet, and we won't until the first night we get back from our honeymoon! We both live with our parents to save money. It is annoying sometimes but I think it will be worth it in the end for us.


(He is at my house so much though, and spends the night often that we kind of feel sometimes as though we live together lol)

I don't know why but I am having the hardest time deciding what kind of jewelry will look best with my dress, and what kind I want. But I did find a really good site that has one that I really like. I really could use some opinions on what would look best with my dress. do you think that this necklace would look good. I know I can't go with anything too shiny because my dress has kind of a metallic threading in the lacy parts. There is a picture of my dress below, if you want to see it.

What I am planning on having for my Wedding favors are Whoopie Pies. I know that it sounds really weird, but they are a delicious! For those of you who have no clue of what whoopie pies are, they are kinda of like two pieces of cookie-shaped cake slices with cream in the middle. They are a favorite here in Lancaster, PA. I think that it would be unique and my guests would love them. They come in pumpkin flavor, my favorite, which I thought would be perfect for the fall. So I'm just wondering what everyone else is planning on having as favors.

I love these dresses, I just think they are so adorable. That is the color that the dress will be in too. I have twins as my flower girls too, (That makes two sets in the wedding party lol ) They are both 7. They are the most excited flower girls I think I've ever seen! They don't stop talking about it! It's so cute!

All of my bridesmaids got their dresses at Alfred Angelo. They all got a different style, except for the junior bridesmaids, but the same color. They junior bridesmaids are the only two with another color on them because that is the dress they liked and it looked good on them and age appropriate. I figured it wouldn't look weird as long as the two of them both had the same dress, especially since they are identical twins. Hopefully I'm right! Oh and they don't have pink on their dresses like the pictures shows, they have champagne as the other color. The first one is my maid of honor's dress, the next two are my other bridesmaids' dresses, and the last one is the junior bridesmaids dresses. Do you guys think they all look good together?

I have naturally curly hair. It isn't too tight but it is still very curly and hard to straighten. I have two pictures of it, one where my hair is shorter, but it shows the curl well. The second one is about how long my hair is now. For that reason, and because my fiance loves my curls, I'm going to wear it curly at the wedding. I am having so much trouble deciding on a hairstyle, and I want to decide on one before I decide what kind of hair accessories I want. What do you think, and do you know of any hairstyles you think would look good? (I stole two of the sample hairstyles from Candy4brandi's page lol ) Thanks!

All of my bridesmaids are very different. My MOH, Sarah is kind of preppy, loves weddings, is very girly and is like a sister to me. My brides maid Samantha is like the complete opposite. She wants to be a rockstar, she creates her own strange outfits lol, she likes to party, and she has been my one of my best friends since 9th grade.
My bridesmaid, Christine, is kinda of like a mix between the two of them. She isn't too conservative, but she is not wild either. She is one of the few people who totally gets my sense of humor.
My other brides maid are my 13 year old twin cousins, that I am very close to.
So, I am having an extremely hard time finding a gift to give to all them that will make all of them happy. So I'm thinking I might have to try to pick a general category, like jewelry, but get them each something different that matches there personality. So I am curious to see what other people are getting their bridesmaids and if you have any suggestions!

I am so excited with our choice of photographer. Our photographer is Thomas Yankosky, TDY Photography. I love his pictures. He has a photo journalist style. He also is very reasonably priced, But the thing that really made us chose him is how relaxed he made us feel. If you are still looking for a photographer don't book one unless you like him as a person. So many people told me this. You might think it's not important but if you are not comfortable with them, your photos will come out looking stiff.

I love my dress! Of course it looks much better in person, and when it's not under horrible florescent lights. I can't wait to get my veil, jewelry and shoes and put it all together!

I am in love with these invitations! I wasn't sure when I saw them online, but when I got the sample in the mail recently, it was beautiful! They are like a beautiful painting.They are so perfect for our fall wedding! I found them at Magnetstreetweddings.com. They are like $275, which isn't too bad considering it includes the invite, rsvp postcard, envelope, and return address seals. What do you guys think? Sorry the pictures so small, thats the best I could get.

Ok, Recently I had something happen that all brides fear. My Reception location went out of business, so I was forced to find a new reception location. I had all my ideas for decorating that location (which was a beautiful ballroom) but now I find myself having to start from scratch and my new reception location is totally different. It is a renovated barn and it is really neat, but it needs some elegance added to it. I really want to have kinda of a rustic elegance kinda theme. Kind of a fall wonderland. I don't want it looking all country (which is how it looks in some of the pictures). I think it has the potential of looking incredible but I just need some ideas. The only thing I know I'm doing for sure is using lots of lanterns hanging from the ceiling. So, Please Help! I have no centerpiece ideas or anything! Oh and my colors are Chocolate Brown, with lots of Orange, pink and red accents.

Well, there it is. The best present I have ever received! I love it! I have had for 6 months now, but I still can't stop staring at it! I am trying to find a wedding band I like to go with it but for some reason I'm having a hard time finding one I like. Any suggestions?
