Ask a Question
When did you know he was "The One"?
When I first met him, I knew he'd be my boyfriend. By the third date,
I knew he'd be my husband. He told me when he proposed that
he knew he was going to marry me after the third date too.
We were hooked!
What about you? Was it love at first sight, or did it take a little
time?

Thanks for sharing ladies!
I love hearing everyone's stories! Keep them coming! It is amazing
to me to hear the many different ways people fell in love, how in
this whole world those two people managed to find each other! I
am amazed everyday when I wake up that I have someone I love
and who loves me with a passion that is so hard to describe. I think
we all dream about falling in love, but when it actually happens,
it's a million times better!!! That might sound sappy and everything,
but sometimes I think we need to have a little sappiness in our lives lol.

It wasn't love at first sight. We used to work together and would talk through out our shift. I was attracted to him, he was attracted to me so we went out... after the first date I couldn't stand him! *lol* I wouldn't even talk to him anymore. That lasted about 2 weeks and we started talking again and had our second date. I liked him but we were both fresh out of relationships so we went VERY slow with things.

I can say now for certain the moment I KNEW we would be together was about 3 years into our relationship and I had to have my gallbladder out and it took a lot longer then they had expected due to some complications. Well his mom told me later that he would not leave the hospital. Not even to get food. He sat there for almost 6 hours asking every hour if everything was alright. Then once I came out of post-op and got settled in my room I wasn't feeling well and my FH who is absolutely disgusted by the thought of bodily fluids held the emisis basin while I was sick. He stroked my hair and told me how worried he was and how glad he was that I was alright. He even wiped my face and cleaned my hair! A week or so later when the meds wore off I knew he was the one!

we met at work & he always tried to talk to me & flirt but i'd kinda tease him & turn him down... finally i gave in & we had our 1st date & i just knew afterwards that i wanted to be w/ him. i couldn't stand a day apart from him & didn't want to spend one day in my life w/o him.

Finally an original question!!!

We had been going out  for about 9 months (it wasn't SUPER serious, I was a senior in High School...he was a senior in college...we were both attending a basketball game (I was a manager and therefore at the score table taking score for my schools team) we had been in a small argument earlier so i was ignoring him....during the game there was a discrepancy in points (me and the electronic table had one thing, the person taking score for the opposing team had 2 extra points...close game) the coach from the opposing team lunged at me screaming and Dwayne jumped in front of him saying "man DONT TALK TO HER LIKE THAT!" then he sat next to me...we didn't talk but then i put my hand next to me on the bench and he put his on top of mine...without a word we just sat there...and that's when I knew he was my man.

when i first met Chris, i really could've cared less. I gave him the cold shoulder and if anything, all i was looking for was a fling. He'd pretty much figured the same thing. I was leaving the country in 2 weeks so I didn't understand why he kept pursuing me- after all, I'd spent all of his money in the bar the night we met, and just left him hanging. But about 2 months after I moved to England I started wondering about him and I gave him a call. We kept in contact but I still figured I'd missed the chance- if i got anything at this point, it would be just friendship. I knew the first time I saw him that it was going to be a lot more than that. I saw him within days of returning to the states and we spent a week together non-stop before he took me on our first date. After that, we both just knew.

haha. When I first met him, I thought - this guys a little wierd..but then we started hanging out more, watching movies (but never getting through them because we ended up having amazing talks and forget about the movie) etc. We met in september and I actually told my parents around october that I was going to marry him..they laughed lol. Once we were dating, we actually told eachother  (i remember it perfectly, sitting at his kitchen table in teh middle of the afternoon..lol) that we were getting married. A month and a half later we were engaged and here we are! Still completely in love, and maybe not as niave about eachother as we were but I know that the fact that we reconize and acknowledge eachothers flaws and still love eachother makes us an even better fit than before.

I knew right off the bat....We have had some trials in  our relationship but nothing could keep us apart...the funny thing is that my grandma even knew by the way we looked at eachother that we were going to get married!!!

When I first saw him he was in concert at a local club!  I was in the crowd but we kept making eye contact with each other!  Two weeks later I was at the Waffle House with someone else and he came in.  I started "talking" to him.  After that we always ran into each other and decided to exchange numbers!  Glad we did!

I knew right away..We met through my cousin who set up a blind date. It just felt like i had known him my whole life, we were just like two peices of a puzzle.

My friend set us up on a blind date (which we both considered cancelling on!), so we met at the restaurant, figured out who we were (the only photo I'd seen he had a mohawk and was doing something inappropriate to an ice scuplture), sat down and half an hour later when the waitress came to get our orders we hadn't even opened our menus.  After that he drove me down onto the beach, high tide, full moon and just wanted to talk about everything we could think of.  *misty sigh*

My best friend was friends with him in Lancaster but I never met him until her & I moved to South Carolina. He came to visit & I knew it the second he called for directions! :-)
