Heres my diy layered program
I think it came out pretty good for my first try

I wasnt sure if I wanted to use black ink or brown
I think ill use brown now that ive put it together

Ive started putting together the gifts for all the ladies in my wedding BM, FG, Hostess etc

I decided to do monogram bags for my BM.
Ive already ordered them and they came out great.

I plan to fill them with flip flops (which they can use at the reception, snacks, and bath and body works products

I plan to give my hostesses gift certificates to a restaurant in their local area

The FG and JR BM will receive coloring books, purses and other small goodies

A friend of mine will be doing my flowers. I will help her just a little but mainly she will handle everything

We played around macking mock bouquets, bout. and corsages

I was able to go to a local floral wholesaler at the end of the week and buy some flowers that they were going to get rid of and use those to play around with.
All in all I was happy with the result. Ive decided not to use the calla lillies in my bouquet as I didnt like how it looked with them

Im doing my own centerpieces im and really happy with those.

I decided early on that I definitely didnt want my hostesses to have to spend a ton on their dresses
So I turned to one of my favorte sites...ebay.

I was able to find 3 of the 4 dresses that I needed on that site
(The 4th girl went out and found hers on her own)

2 of the dresses I won on ebay for $5 plus shipping of $15 each and the last dress I just won early this week for $1 plus $15 shipping.

So I ended up with 3 dresses and only spending a total of $56 all together.

All of the dresses are in Sage green which is what I wanted as my BM are all wearing Choclate Brown

Another DIY project I tacked

This one wasn't too bad
I ordered my wood letters (very cheap...my total with priority shipping was around $12 - I think)

I then painted them in a metallic brown.

After doing this, I glued individual rhinestones onto the letters in my wedding colors.

I am very pleased with how the letters turned out.

Ive known for a while exactly what I wanted to use as favors.

When deciding on favors, my first question to myself was "out of all the weddings Ive been too, which ones had favors that I can even remember..."

Well of all the weddings...I could only come up with one.

A friend of mine ordered Large Cookies that were the same shape and color of her actual wedding cake. I thought it was the prettiest thing.
In addition to that, I love edible things.
If it taste great, and looks pretty. It gets a thumbs up from me.

With that said.....I decided upon Caramel apples.
It goes great with my wedding colors, they taste good, and with the chocolate drizzle....they're pretty darn cute!!

Ive been looking for a dress for my Jr Bridesmaid.
I want something that is not too grown / adult looking
I want something that will still allow her to look like a little girl.

I decided against the normal table number on a piece of paper sticking from the top of a metal stand.

Instead I decided to incorporate more of the green that I am using in my wedding and I attached rhinestones to faux apples to use as my table numbers.

I will hang the apples from the metal stands instead of paper numbers.

Ive narrowed it down .....2 bands
I love them both
I will make my final decision within the next couple of days so that I can have the ring ordered from a local jewelry store (Im too nervous to order jewelry online)

Most of my wedding party lives out of town (including myself)
Only 1 of my bridesmaids lives near me. She and I ventured out on a hunt for the shoes they would wear and we found them.

I think they are so sexy and will be a great shoe for them to use later as well. I didnt want to do a dyeable as Ive been in wedding before and they usually end up in the closet afterwards not being used.

Im posting a few pics of the shoes we chose.

I found my shoes prior to finding my dress.

My fiancee and I were walking through the mall and went into a department store. The shoes caught my eye and I just fell in love with them.

When he proposed, the first thing I did was go back to that store to get my shoes.

They did not have them in my size. I called every store possible to find them.

Finally I called my mom who lives in another state, then emailed her photos of the shoes. Well......she found them.
My shoes were purchased white in color however im having them dyed ivory

So...I have my shoes.

I cant wait!!!

Another DIY project for me
I created a mock up of our invitation
It came out "ok" for the first try
Ive since found a flourish that I l ike that I think I will add to the front of the invite

I also may use another type of embellishment (im not sure yet)

I will have to make some type of decision within the next week.

Ive decided to take a hold of a few more DIY projects
Today will be the first attempt at creating a mongram aisle runner

I first created my monogram in MS Word and Powerpoint
I had a very hard time getting it to print large enough so I then made a duplicate in printshop

The paints, brushes and runner itself have all been purchased
I cant wait to see how it turns out.

As of today we are only 99 days away from our Big Day
I have had a hard time making up my mind about the ceremony decor
I want to keep it simple yet something very pretty and a little bold at the same time.

Ive decided to use a Chuppah or Canopy and have it decorated with drapes of fabric and some type of bling

I finally found one that I can rent.

Ive decided to do the surprise Grooms Cake.
Im not exactly sure what theme Im going to use as of yet but I do know it will have something to do with tools (FI is obsessed with working on things), or UFC ( he doesnt miss any of the fights)

I have to check with the bakery thats doing our wedding cake to see what they can do. Ive found a few pictures that I like and offers good ideas.

I cant wait to see his face. Whichever design I choose, I know he will LOVE!


Anyone else doing a surprise grooms cake?

Our cake tasting was just OK.
I was hoping to have a lot of fun doing it. The first bakery gave us pieces of previously frozen cake therefore it wasnt moist and yummy. We ended up leaving there. The 2nd place we went to was pretty good. They gave us loads of samples and fillings.
I cant wait to see how it turns out.

I love so many differnt styles and I definitely love different flavors.
Weve chosen the baker but the syle ...well we told her what we wanted but advised that we may change our minds regarding the style 10 more times before the big day.

Im trying to decide on my bouquet.
I have several ideas in mind. Mostly including flowers in different shades of green and cream.

I would love a hand tied bouquet with jewels or some type of sleeve.

I have searched all over and most places charge so much for them. There has to be a better way..lol

I will continue my search until I locate exactly what Im looking for.
