Wedding Decoration

The colors for my wedding are pansy purple (royal purple), teal (more green not blue), and gold. My future mother in law (FMIL) thinks that I should do gold table cloths because I don't want my venue to look too dark. However, I still think I want to do the royal purple table cloths with a gold table runner.

My mom is telling me it's my wedding and I should do what I want however, The decorations are the 3rd most important thing to me (the first and second being my husband to be and the video, respectively) so I want them done perfectly (whatever that may be).

I want a glamorous feel. I'm having theatrical lighting, ostrich feather centerpieces, etc.

My thought process is that my wedding is already at night so what's wrong with a purple table cloth?
