I'm Married (!!!!)
WBC forgot me :(
Well, I 'm married to the luv of of my life. Small hiccups along the way so will give some advise on what we forgot later. I was really sad the day before and day after the wedding just cause I snuck on WBC and noticed they forgot to add me as a bride for August 7th :( Kinda felt like maybe I wasnt liked, didnt post enough ect.... Oh well. These are amateur pics of us and I will def post the professioanl ones in a month or so when I get them back. If it wasnt for everybody here and all thier ideas I wouldnt have had such a fabulous day!!! Thank you to all the past present and future brides for helping to make my day so special :)

Wedding Flowers
Wedideas.com investigated by Visa...
I made some previous posts about the troubles I had with wedideas.com. Not every bride had the same fate and then again there were a couple of us that did. i just wanted to share that here it is 4 days before my wedding and Visa did an investigation into the way my case was handled and refunded all the money I paid to wedideas!!!! Thats hundreds of dollars!!!! So Ladies if there is any advise I can give, it is use your credit card to make these types of purchases and if it doesnt work out for you call and ask for an investigation into your case and see if they will consider a charge back. I did and am pretty grateful it worked out for me :)
By the way, Ive been Missing in Action....We have had a tough go of it with a close family member death among other things...but I think of WBC often....4 days away for me!!!!!! |

DIY Wedding
Does this look Ok?
I know Ive been Missing in action for awhile now, Cant seem to keep up with everything...22 days out!! Question...Does this parasol look okay? I took me a few nights to do and forever to try and track one down in the city....No one had small ones and in fact no one carrys parasols :( I didnt think it looked to bad but now Im second guessing...the words seem to small for the parasol...On the bright side...its been raining here forever!!!!!! I would def have good rain coverage the day of my wedding with this big beast. (!!)

Wedding Cake
Our cake stand :) Hope you like it!!!
I really wanted to do something unique for a cake stand, we thought about the whole idea of using plexi glass and building the clear box oursleves. Well not only does time not permit us to do that, its crazy expensive to buy plexi here in canada!!!
Next best thing...research and google...This is what I found and I sooooo luv this idea!!! Simple and has cost us about 20.00 ...Ive added the how to photo in case any one else really likes this idea too. We got the jars for a 1.00 each and I will just put water pearls in them and pop in the LED lights...Simple and Classy YAY (!!!) |

Flowers
Its been 2 months already!!
Sooo its been a full two months since I sent back my flowers to Wedidieas and no phone call, no email, nothing!! (see my past posts on flowers) I am 58 days out. Although I likely wont use what they do send back to me as my flowers you would think I would of heard from them by now. After all they do have over 500.00 of my Hard earned money. I had been talking to another bride who was 25 days out about how unhappy she was with these flowers too and how she hadnt recieved hers yet either. I would think that a re-do of your flowers with your date so close would be a priority?! After all they dont know that I probably wont be using thier flowers. Funny how they can ship out to brides whose wedding dates are 6 months or more away. Its the principal of it all. I have emailed them with no response. I guess in my heart I am still kind of hoping things turn around and the new flowers are somehow perfect :)
This just doesnt seem like good buisness to me :( |

Candy candy candy!!
I think we have finally finished our candy for our candy buffet! We did a mock up of it a few days ago and I forgot to take photos. If your going to do a candy table, it can be expensive. I think our total cost was in the neighborhood of 500.00 including the jars. FH is a deputy Sheriff and he said that he is going to post the other Sheriffs at the door to make sure people steal candy just b4 they leave, he doesnt want any of it coming home with us- so guests better have bursting pockets of candy! I wanted our candy in our wedding colors for flow but remember when choosing your candy that certain colors offer only certain tastes- our guests may be grape and licoriced fed up!!

Thanks to soon2becohen, and 123 print, these are on there way to us!! Fairly easy to design your own, problem is they dont ship to Canada and fortunately we have a friend in Vegas they are being shipped to and he will send them on to us! Total cost 23.86...For 50 of them :)...Total cost to do these in Canada-WAY TO FREAKIN MUCH!! Try in the hundred dollar range or better unless there is a website out there I didnt know about for Canadian brides!
