This is 5ft5qt's Purple Wedding!

I love love love my dress!!! I had to keep it at my friends house since my folks are freaking out and I need to have access to my dress!!!

ANY WAY........here is my dress! It's James Clifford (?) honestly that means nothing to me....I shop from Goodwill to Coach Outlet and sometimes I splurge on something over 100 bucks so this was strange for me to see the tag that says 2500 original price. WOW!!

But that was the point of going to the Running of The Brides. I ended up going with 3 Maids and my oldest daughter (jr maid). We made signs for the event (ended up leaving them in the car because we got too excited and forgot). The weather was great and we all met at Kellie's at 630am (Doors open at 8am), Drove to DC (estimated time: 45 min) actual time: 1.5 hours (Starbucks, Traffic, Finding the place, Parking).

We all dressed in jeans, black shirts and bandanas (mine was black with Bride in rhinestones and the girls had purple with CREW! We looked great! We ended up walking through the doors at 8:30 found a spot next to a mirror and started going at it....I tried on dress after dress after dress (I will post them in another posting)....After 2 hours and hearing other brides cheer and hollar (WE FOUND THE DRESS!!!) It was finally my turn! I found the dress of my dreams and the price I was looking for (under 500).

I went to David's Bridal and tried on some wedding dresses....they turned out ok!

I ended up not getting any of the ones I tried on but I did end up going to the Running of The Brides in October and picked up a dress for 299 (original price 2500)! I have to locate the picture of that one but I thought I would include the ones I have!!!

I know it seems like so many moons from now but we have started to plan the bridal party....I am having an issue with my FH locking his guys in...

Is it OK to have uneven sides? Well it wont really matter anyway about uneven as I think one of my girls will probably drop out (she and her hubby may be moving back to Cali before the wedding and she would not be able to be in the wedding!) OH and one of my girls seems to have fallen off the face of the earth......Should I have back ups? Should I just let the numbers fall how they do...I'm not a fan of not committing to this!

See I'm stressed out...it's 4am and I can't sleep!!!

My FH really likes the Damask design and I sorta like it.....I'm just seeing it everywhere and wondering if its super unoriginal. Will it be around more or less in 2013? Does it go with the pirate them? Can it be incorporated into most everything?

I feel like the more questions I ask the more I am talking myself out of it….

With 17 months to go...(yea I don't have days yet)...I am starting with my first entry! Short and sweet as it is Friday after Thanksgiving. I am very excited about my wedding and have time to plan. Busy mom of 2 girls (12 and 2), full time job, full time student and girl scout troop leader of 43! With all the activities going on...planning (and lots of time to do it) is very important with my "OCD"...I think of it has more of a control freak thing...but I'm getting better with that! ;-) This picture is for me to remember always me and my best friend!!
