there are some aspects of this wedding that i enjoyed,but not many! I am trying to plan my dream this time! we had about a year to plan last time, which i plenty of time, but we didnt have plenty of money to do all the things I wanted. I rushed the plans because my mom was sick and I really wanted her there! |

Wedding Decoration
I was just thinking....
Maybe I should change my wedding theme to "old glam" to match the whole seven year itch thing. I figure, if you cant beat em, join em! Thats why I want a seven year itch vow renewal!
I dont know how to achieve this with a destination wedding, and we really arent having bridesmaids and groomsmen, so I dont know what I can do with this other than in my dress, his attire and the cake. Any ideas? |

Wedding Budget
2nd time around
We got married in september, my hubby wanted me to do the wedding for 2,000...I did it for under 5,000.
I sacrificed so much though. Too much really, so this time Im doing what I want. I havent discussed a budget with him yet, but Iam saving my pennies. Literally, Iam putting ALL my change away! Iam determined to get what I want! and I want it ALL! I want a nice dress, and nice room, a fabulous dinner for us all. I dont want it to be a DIY wedding this time around, though. The last one was too hard and I wont be able to bring alot of stuff with us. |

bridal shower
some pics and a story
My friend Jessica is getting married in August. She had her bridal shower yesterday.
It was a tea party theme, very cute. She wanted everyone to wear a hat, like a kentucky derby hat. I dont wear hats. I also dont wear dresses. (looking at this pic, I should NOT have worn this dress...yuck!) Anyways, I pick out what I thought was an adorable dress. Apparently someone else did as well. The grooms, brothers girlfriend, Olivia, was wearing the same dress as I was. We laughed about that. Said we should sit as far apart as possible. We ended up sitting at the same table. We eat, chat, and play a game. Now its time to open gifts. The bride gets plates, cutlery, a picnic basket (dont ask), and then she opens Olvias gift and my head drops. Its the same thing I got her. A bit different, but its a Martini Shaker that gives the ingredients to the drinks. I met this girl the night before the shower. She lives out of state. Ironic, dont you think?? Picture of Olvia, myself and the bride to be with our gifts. Second picture is of Jessicas shoes! I love them!!! 3 pic is Jessica during the shower, she got a question correct! yay! |

Ive been seeing so many peacock themed weddings! Iam LOVING these colors ;) My faves!
I dont know if I can actually run with this idea since Im doing the vow renewal in Vegas. I dont know if that would clash with the whole vegas theme. Im not really doing a "vegas" theme either. I dont know what Im doing yet (its 6 years away, I have time to deciede!), but I lovelovelove the peacock thing.,,, Maybe I can find blue,green and purple chips? For those who dont already know, Im already married. We got married September 5, 2009. However, I did NOT get the wedding of my dreams. I did NOT get a honeymoon. We have a daughter who will be 2 in August. I WANT the wedding I have always dreamed of, so....2016 is the year. Plent of time to save, and plan, and relax while doing so. We will renew our vows in Vegas. |

Thank you to those of you who said they liked dress one.
I did as well. Until I wore it on my wedding day. I HATED the way it looked on me. I had many doubts before hand but didnt have enough time nor money to purchase a new one. Here are a few photos of me in it... I had to add the black straps, I just dont lke how it fit. I look HUGE! |
