I just LOVE doing sneak peaks, lol. I started a new project just this past weekend. It's a little...
I Think We Found Our Venue!!!
Since Christmas Is Right Around The Corner, We Have Decided To Go 2 More Monthes Then Start Finalizing Our Vendors. The Past 3 Monthes Of Looking And Getting Information Has Been Such A Big Help To Us. Im So Glad Were Having A Long Engagement. It Just Makes The Planning Less Stressful And Alot More Fun. But Come Jan Ill Be Ready To Start Signing Those Contracts And Getting Our Plans In Working Order.
I Dont Have Any Really Great Pictures To Post Of The Place Were Looking But It Is Beautiful! It Really Fits Our Alice IN Wonderland Theme. It Has A Huge Stone House With Stone Walls And Round Stone Storage Rooms That Look Like Little Look Out Houses. Its The Knoxville Botanical Gardens And It Is Perfect For Us, Price And Feel. FH And I Are Going To Schedule Another Appointment With Them And Our Wedding Planner So That He Can Ok It Too. Then Its Just Getting The Deposit Together To Place IN Jan! Yay! Im So Excited!!! Ill Take Photos And Post After Our Next Meeting!
Oh The Beautiful Colors!
Our Wedding Colors......
I Knew What Colors I Wanted In Our Wedding But Couldnt Really Decided On How To Use Them All With Out Looking Like A Circus. But I Found This Inspiration Board ( Dont Really Remember Where, I Googled It) And I Love It! It Fits With The Tim Burton/Alice Remake And Would Look Great With The Mismatched Decorations. Some People Would Say That They Are Fall Or Winter Colors But I Like THem In The Summer! :)
So We Have Decided On The Girls Wearing Dark Blue, Navy And The Guys In The Gray To Lighten It Up. And Were Gonna Use The Red And Fushia To Add Pops Of Color In!
What Do You Girls Think?
I Booked Our Planner Yesterday! Yay!
I Went To A Bridal Show THe Other Week And Had A Mini Consultation With A Wedding Planner. Up To This Point I Didnt Think I Needed Nor Wanted One. I Did Know That The Venue We Are Looking At Does Not Offer A Day Of Cordinater So WE Had To Get One For The Day. But I Didnt Really Think About One To Help Me Plan. But After Talking To Her And Finding Out Its Not That Much I Decided It Would Be Worth It To Get One. That Got Me Thinking.
So, My MOH, Who Is My Cousin By Marrige, Reminded Me That Her Cousin Has Just Finished Her Online Certification To Become A Licensed Wedding Planner. I Met With Her Yesterday And Decided To Hire Her. Not Only Do I Get A Day Of Planner But I Also Have Her To Help THroughout The Next 22 Monthes Of Planning. Im So Excited!!!
Heres A Pic Of My Planner Mrs. Jamie Turner!

Questions To Ask
On The Venue Search
I Had Posted Before About Needing Some Advice On What Questions To Ask When Looking At Possible Wedding Venues. While I Got Some Answers, I Didnt Feel Like I Had Enough. So I Turned To My Trusty Google Search Engine And, BEHOLD, I Have, I Think Every Question Possible.
I Found A Great Website That Had Alot Of Planning Tools And Worksheets. I Just Added What I Wanted To What They Already Had And Now I Think I Have A Great Worksheet To Help Me Ask Questions And Write Them Down.
If Any One Else Is On A Venue Search And Would Like A Copy, Just Let Me Know And Ill Email It To You.
Here Are Some Other Tips That I Found That Might Help!
If you really love the site, ask the venue representative to put together a proposal with all the pricing and policiesincluding the tax and service chargeso you have an idea of the basic cost.
Bring a camera with you to every location you visit, and organize the photos by location name when you get home. After seeing a series of places, its easy to confuse them. Having a photographic record will help you remember what was special about each site.
Pay attention to venue as a whole: Check out everything, including the restrooms, the foyer, the dressing rooms, the outdoor lighting and even the kitchen. You want to be sure your vision can be realized at this location. If possible, make arrangements with the site representative to visit the venue when its set up for a wedding.
GET EVERYTHING IN WRITING. Your date is not officially reserved until you sign a contract and, in many cases, give a depositeven if a site contact says you dont need to worry about it. Once youve found THE PLACE, make sure you ask what is required to get your booking locked in and then follow through on satisfying those requirements. And dont assume that just because the site coordinator said you can have 4 votive candles per table, youll get them. Before you sign a contract, read the fine print and make sure it includes everything you and the site contact agreed on. As new things are added or changed in your contract, have the updated version printed out and signed by you and the site representative. Also, document all your conversations in emails and keep your correspondence.

How Did You Invision Your Wedding Day?
I Was Watching Bride Wars And Was Thinking Back On How I Thought My Wedding Was Going To Be.
When I Was A Little Girl I Wanted A Big White, Princess Dress With A Fluffy Skirt, A Long Train, And My Hair Down To My Waist In Curls. I Wanted To Ride In A Horse Drawn Carrige To A Big Church Where I Would Walk Down The Asile On My Dad's Arm To My Handsome Husband To Be. I Dreamt Of Flowers Everywhere And Huge Diamonds All Over Me. I Wanted Pink And Blues For My Colors. And After Our Vows Were Read And Tears Cried, Me And My Prince Would Ride Into Our Reception On Our Carrige And Spend The Night Dancing And Celebrating.
Well, My Dreams Have Changed Now. I Dont Want Any Of That Anymore. Now I Want A Fun Wedding, With A Pink Dress, Not Ball Gown But Not Skin Tight. I Want My Hair Up, I Think, For Comfort In The August Heat. My Mother Will Be Walking Me Down The Asile, Not IN A Church But In A Beautiful, Fantasy Garden. I Dont Want A Horse Drawn Carrige, But A Vintage Rols Royce To Take Us To The Reception. And I Flowers Arent My Main Concern Anymore.
I Guess The Only Thing I What The Same Is, My Future Hubby And Dancing And Celebrating All Night.
How Many Of You Future Brides, Or Even Wives Now, Dreamt Of Your Wedding Since You Were Little And ArePlanning Or Have Had Your Wedding Totally Different? Who Is Sticking To Their Dreams?

My Question Is.....What ( If Anything ) Should I Bring With Me? What Questions Should I Ask? Is There Anything I Should Know Before Hand? And Is There Anything That They Should Offer Or Do For Me?
Any Advice Will Help. I Have No Clue What Im Doing Here.
Thanks In Advance Ladies!!
What Color "White" Are You Wearing?
So I Was Googling Dresses Tonight To See What Styles I Like Before My Dress Appointment On The 20th And Ive Noticed That There Are 100s Of Shades Of White Out There. Im Really Liking The Light Shade Of Pink Ones The Best. The Ones That Are So Light That You Have To Do A Double Take And Ask Yourself " Is That Dress White Or Pink? "
So I Was Wondering, How Many Of You Are Wearing A Color Other Then White? I Know Some Cultures Wear Red And Some People Wear Ivory Or Off White For Second Weddings. What Made You Choose Your Dress Shade?
I Got This Off Yahoo Answers And Thought A Little Bit Of Folklore About These Colors Might Be Fun! Hope Its Not True If I Do Decide On The Blush Shade. Lol! Enjoy!!!
One old rhyme seems to sum up these notions:
Married in white, you have chosen all right.
Married in green, ashamed to be seen.
Married in red, you will wish yourself dead.
Married in blue, you will always be true.
Married in yellow, ashamed of your fellow.
Married in black, you will wish yourself back.
Married in pink, your spirits will sink.
