 Brooch bouquet <3 Our photobooth wall was an absolute hit! Everything about the day was perfect. Absolutely everything. Nothing went wrong. It was beautiful. Everyone had fun. I am so unbelievably happy with all of the amazing memories that were created and I am especially happy with all of the amazing moments our photographers were able to capture. Wedding Cake
Our DIY Cupcake Stand!
FI's parents built the cupcake stand and our job was to put the fabric on it! :)
I took the fabric to a sewing shop to get it cut into 5 inch wide, 8 feet long strips but the lady at the store messed up and cut it into 5" wide, 4 feet long strips and made it so difficult for us! The strips weren't long enough to wrap around the cupcake stand so we had to try and match the design when we ran out of fabric on one tier. What a pain! PLUS, it doesn't help that she didnt even cut the fabric straight either! Worst $5 ever spent! Lol. But I think it's coming together beautifully! :) |

My DIY Brooch Bouquet
So much stress and anger went into this thing lol. Im not a patient person but with the loving help from my MOH and FI, we got it done! The last thing to do is to add the memorial locket I bought for my Grandpa but I will wait a bit yet to do that! What do ya think!? Some of the brooches are from my Mom and my one grandmother. My other grandmother (whose husband, my gpa, passed away last August) let me have parts of a broken necklace my Gpa gave her years ago. It was gorgeous but apparently some of the kids (likely us grandkids when we were wee ones) got to the necklace and demolished it :(

Wedding Hair Style
My BAD Hair Trial.
And I mean BAD.
I was going for a 1930's look but with the flippy ends to my hair trial, it's more 1960's. Now, the hair dresser admited she took me out from under the hair dryer too early and that she used the wrong rollers (b/c they didn't have the right size rollers). But she tried to reassured me saying that come June, my hair will be longer and they'll have the right smaller sized rollers that'll give me the "s-curve" that the inspiration photo has. But then she was so excited about the way my hair turned out for the trial that I'm worried she might actually think this is the right kind of vintage I'm aiming for. Although I told her multiple times and gave her a NUMBER of photos that are very 1930s-1940s. So she definitely knows what era I'm going for. So, my question is, PLEASE hairdressers or someone who knows something about hair, reassure me and tell me that because my hair will be longer and they'll have the right sized rollers by June, the hair for my next trial (3 wks before the wedding) will be more like the one in the inspiration photo? Haha. |

I got it! I got it!
It took me forever to decide but I finally found one :) And it happened when I went dress shopping alone! Now everyone (aside from my Mom, who came to the dress shop just to see "the" dress) will be surprised on the big day as to how gorgeous the dress is!
It's a Maggie Sottero. I knew, from my initial online dress hunting, I was meant to have a Maggie. She was the only designer whose dresses I REALLY loved. And, here I am, with my very own Maggie being made right now! :D I didn't have a "OMG! THIS IS THE DRESS!!!11!!" moment. I just simply ended up loving this one more than the other one I really liked. :) So those brides waiting for the "THIS IS THE DRESS!!!11!!" moment, it just might not happen! |

Wedding Wish Tree Kit
I ordered a wedding wish tree kit from Blooms & Branches the other day and just received it in the mail on Friday. It is AMAZING! I am in love!
The kit includes 2 big manzanita branches, the two "vases" (for lack of better word at the moment), and the template for the wish cards. I will be making my own wish cards, however, but everything else is amazing. The best part? The kit is less than $50! I also ordered 3 manzanita branch supplements because I wasn't sure how if the branches that came with the kit would make it look full enough. I still don't know how I'm going to "attach" the supplement branches to the main branch, but ordering 3 supplement branches was too much! I won't ever use em all! And, here's a major plus for Americans, the website says the wish tree kit includes shipping!! I had to pay $40 because Im Canadian for shipping (boo) but that's okay.
