DATE BUMP!
HOLY MOLY!!!!!!
So a few nights ago my FH texts me from work and says "babe i dont wanna wait a year to marry you anymore." I of course thought Aweeeeee how sweeeeeeeet.
Then he drops the BOMB. "So i was thinking this year..." my heart beat sped up a little and i tried not to panic when he says..."And i dont wanna get married in the cold either." i took a breath. "So how about august?" "uhhh thats 4 months away and we dont even have the slightest clue where we want to get married..not to mention our budget issue." "yea...but august. lets make it happen." And that was it...so ladies. four months to the big day...WOW! I went to the little hole in the wall (miracle) bridal store i hear all about all the time and found my dress yesterday...its amazing! So excited so nervous...so scared to miss something. but luckily i have good friends with amazing decorative and planning skills. whew! gotta love the people that jump on the train for you at the last minute. My MOH even made a four hour drive for the dress trials :) |

I pray for us
Its been a couple days :)
This site really is addicting...now i know what you ladies were saying...LOL. So Im usually on here during work, i know sounds bad but we just moved last month and dont have internet...on my days off i seriously cant wait to jump back on WBC!
mostly i just want to check out the latest posts..i find myself excited about other girls weddings almost as much as mine... 17 months is a long time to go and ill tell ya the heartache stories of the brides who have to post that "their wedding is off" scares the crap out of me because im sure..like me... they never imagined that would happen. But then there are the brides who do get that special day the one whos work pays off and their weddings are perfect dreamed up creations of colors and theme...I LOVE the pictures. Makes me all fuzzy inside. I pray every night that all of you get to that day as well as myself... The colors of my wedding are swirling around in my head forever wanting to change, and im trying not to inevitably give in and change them! :) So far Teal, royal purple and Chartreuse are still on :D |

Colors mean...
Green: Green shades symbolize life, freshness, nature and fertility. A common choice for eco-friendly brides, green shows that you value your health and the environment. A harmonized and balanced color, green is a mixture of warm yellow and cool blue, just like its admirers. A calming and tranquil hue, brides who select green are affectionate, frank and responsible. You seek stability and balance, yet remain fiercely principled and refined.
Purple: Often associated with both royalty and luxury, purple is a passionate color. Choosing purple symbolizes dignity, tolerance and value. Violet lovers tend to be unconventional and observant, with a multifaceted personality. Tolerant and witty, purple devotees are likely to achieve authoritative positions. From light lavender and lilac buffs, who tend to be charming, witty and cultured, to deep eggplant lovers, who are creative and talented, purple can be provocative or sweet. no teal? bleh... |

Paleo Diet
wow
I have been on the Paleo train for 5 days...its not quite as hard as i had thought. I did cheat one time an one time only and had a arbys sandwich yesterday...the bread was amazing! lol but so far i kind of feel sleepy in the morning but then im much more awake at work then i used to be...and no coffee!
I have also been working out or trying to as much as possible. My FH's schedule changed at work so its hard to either have a car to get there or get there before the gym closes. I feel like i may have lost a cpl lbs honestly ...i just fit into my jeans better, and i really hope when i jump on the scale today ill be happily surprised. if not tho...no sweat i feel great! and have convinced my brother to do it too! |

My lil man
Meet Gage!
Gage is my only child and he is from a previous relationship, he just turned two December 23rd 2010. I originally just put it in my mind that he would be ring bearer...well then i read a few stories about children getting shy or freaking out or causing mayhem on the big day.
I love this kid to death but lets face it hes kind of a terror lol! i can just picture him walking down the aisle pulling off tulle and flowers as he goes! yikes! so any other suggestions to make him a big part of our wedding. He is most definitely Kyle's lil boy even tho hes not his biologically and its important to incorporate him in our wedding...any ideas? |

Wedding Decoration
Ok..change?
My first and foremost favorite color since Jr high has been LIME GREEN, but as much as i used to talk about it being my wedding color...i just think the idea I'm envisioning doesn't fit lime green. But there are sooooo many teal, purple and chartreuse weddings and even more with peacock influence...
I want to be original...i thought i was, then i just kept seeing so many more weddings too similar to my idea. So i am debating on changing my scheme. I bought those awesome earrings and there is something about the peacock feathers that i think will add an elegance of sorts, so i think im going to amp up the chocolate brown and make it a main color, rather then a way to tone down the others. And i am not fond of purple but chartreuse is close to lime...and Ive kind of fallen in love with the dark teal...but i don't want teal and lime green...it'd look like baby puke or something lol. Hmmm...idk its not like the people who have similar weddings are close or people who attend mine will see theirs too....but i don't know. Its still so early on in the planning process maybe ill just go gold and white with peacock feathers thrown in for color and a few teal accents...hmmm....what do i do? VOTE: Stick with teal, purple and chartreuse and gold and chocolate and the peacock feathers or change? |

Paleo Diet
Im bound and determined to lose about 15 lbs before my wedding, I must i must! i want to look great and feel great too! not to mention i just wanna be mostly naked on my honeymoon at all times...is that so much to ask? :P
So Ive been working out on the weeks i don't have my son (His father and i switch off every sunday) Got a membership at the Y and have been really wanting to get in there. I know i need to change my eating habits because well i work in a call center and I'm surrounded by soda and energy drinks, and my true weakness coffee! I looked for a diet here and there, not to adhere strictly to but to really follow and use as a guideline. i want to be healthy and happy for the rest of my life and be able to rock climb and hike at 50 ya know? so anywho i was looking and looking and finally just decided i would go back to the old woman diet of salads...then as i was looking through the WBC website girls posts and saw a "Paleo Diet" post. well im familiar with the paleolithic era...studied it in my first year of college...so this intrigued me. After really searching through your profiles i saw alot more of it! most of the posts were of people starting it, id like to hear about the ones who have tried it, been on it, still love it, etc... Please leave your feedback...did you see results? Do you know someone who has? was it hard? HELP Im really liking the idea of this diet and am currently browsing the paleodietlifestyle.com website. :) |
