vintage typewriters: they just make my pants fit different

i'm in the market for a typewriter.

not just any typewriter. but a 1955, bubble gum pink, {royal} "change my life for the prettier" typewriter. and i want it now. right now.

i have been creepin' around on the internet and have found that they usually sell in the $250 range, and are not thaaaaat hard to come by, but finding one in working condition that looks as good as i want it to, makes things a little more difficult. plans for that bad girl include typing up my wedding invites and thank you cards, as well as any and every letter i ever write from now until the day i die, and if i can find a purse big enough, will be bringing it with me everywhere i go. just in case.

however, my most major of plans for her, is to use it as my guestbook. she's gonna have a table all on her own for guests to get down with their creative selves. i will prepare a stack of pages, numbered and titled something along the lines of "amanda and paul's happily ever after starts here..." and then have our guests add their own little love note. then i'm going to paste the sheets and photos from our photo booth into an album, very scrapbook-esque, and voila! instant guest book.

i have seen typewriters used at a few weddings i have came across online (and have turned green with envy over), and love how it adds that perfect vintage touch. i love the way they sound when you push the keys and start a new line, and their unmistakable font.

another item on my christmas wish list. come on santa baby.
