Hey ladies, just got back from our little one year anniversary mini moon from the West. I'll share some pictures soon. I just wanted to share this boutonniere I handcrafted for the beach photo shoot we did last week before we left.


I made it from items and crafts I had kicking around the house, not one thing was bought for this boutonniere. I used this inspiration photo below, although not a couture as the one in the picture below, it has some similarity.



I think it turned out really pretty and has such a romantic vintage feel to it!
Now I am not quite sure what I am going to do with it other than admire it every time I walk past it in the house lol I really wish I had done something like these instead of real flower boutonnieres for the boys on our wedding day! I just love making them.

What do you ladies think ... cute? I can't wait to see what it looks like in the pictures.

TOTALLY cute!! You've done an amazing amazing job and it looks a million Etsy dollars. :) I am hoping to make something similar for my men... and I have been collecting weird scraps and old doillies from op shops to cut up!

Awwww thanks ladies i'm really flattered by all the comments on it ... I thought it was pretty but maybe only something I appreciated as much. So thanks ...  think in the winter i'd like to get into bout making more :)

Very pretty! Great job!  I don't think I could ever get any of the Groomsmen to actually wear something like this because it's pretty girly...but I think it's beautiful!

You should make corsages too!

You should get one of those shadow boxes and put it in there with a picture from the photo shoot and maybe your view or something and hang it on your wall for display.  It would be beautiful.

lampebride, I have not made on in those colors yet. I have actually done a very small amount of boutonnieres. I plan on getting more into come november when I am laid off from my day job. I see you have plenty of time before your wedding, and I think I may be able to come up with some over the next couple months.  

Browncurls ... I really liked the first inspiration picture you sent me. however, it's not showing up on my page anymore. Do you think you could resend it so I can take a closer at it?

lampebride ... I definitely think I can come up with something for you before your wedding. How many groomsmen do you have?

Browncurls ...  I think i can come up with something almost identical. i just can't tell what that is exactly behind the feather. I tried to click on the picture but it just takes me to photobuckets home page. Do you know what the brown thing is behind it?
