Guess What I Signed up For?
 I just wanted to share my excitement and nervousness with you girls! I did something crazy and very out of my character. I signed up for BELLY DANCING lessons!!!!!!!!!! I just did it this past weekend on a spur of the moment thing. I've always kinda wanted to try it, but I usually chicken out or find excuses not to do it. I just love the attire and the sensuality of this dance, I think my husband might too! I found a girlfriend to go with me who I just met this past summer. I figured one it'd be more fun to do it with someone and two it's make me HAVE TO go! Our classes start this Saturday and I am excited and nervous all in one. I did buy my hip scarf which I love and shimmy around the house with all the time lol. when it comes down to it, I hope I am really good at it. I definitely am built with the hips for it, but I could stand to get in better shape if I one day choose to do recitals and wear the traditional belly showing gear! Wish me luck! |

So I came across these wonderfully awesome beauties that I know a lot of you ladies will LOVE LOVE LOVE, I'm sure of it! I am really jealous that these weren't around when I was planning my wedding because I would have made them them in a heart beat. They're so romantically cute, simple, and kinda shabby chic - right up my alley! What by Day?
I was curious as to what everyone here does by day when they are not planning their wedding? Maybe you plan your wedding by day even while you're at work ha ha ha. So tell me ladies, what is it everyone does by day? I'd love to hear the variety of jobs everyone has, or even if your a student, or unemployed. Have you been finding it hard to plan your wedding while working or studying? Do you find yourself secretly googling wedding stuff while your boring professor is lecturing or when really you're suppose to be making telemarketing phone calls to miserable people who'd rather you be planning your wedding than wasting their time? I know I was both a student and a working bride while I was planning my wedding. Good thing I had a small course load and girls I worked with who actually wanted to hear about how my fiance and I got into an argument the night before about why he couldn't remember the colors were blush and not pink. lol |

Some more goodies to share with you ladies ... Welcome to the beautiful work of Peggy Porschen! I came across her website a while back while searching for the perfect cake. Although my cake was not replicated from one of her designs. The vintage lace cake with the blue ribbon and brooch would have been the runner up. Her work is absolutely amazing, and I thought you girls might find some great inspirations from her work. I also love love love the blue and pink cake (the close up picture n the bottom) - if you check her website out you'd just love the picture of the entire cake - STUNNING! If I was doing fuchsia and Tiffany blue that would have been my cake! I have added the link below... check it out and tell me what you think of her designs? I also made a mosaic of all her beautiful work below to share with you ladies ... seriously isn't it amazing?!?!?! Her cupcakes are beautiful too! Supportive Mom?
Just wondering how many ladies are as lucky as I am to have such a wonderful mom helping you during your planning? I know of a few friends who aren't as lucky that have and would have their mom's be completely controlling and non supportive of their decisions and choices during their wedding planning. Tonight I was looking through my wedding pictures and couldn't help but notice that in every single picture my mom looks so incredibly happy. She was so happy the entire day, I don't think i've ever seen her smile so much! It inspired me to share with you ladies just how wonderful my mom was during the wedding process and how much I love her. My mom is one of those moms who never ever tried to control during our decisions while planning our wedding. She never once judged the decisions and choices we made, nor did she ever complain about money. She did not only help financially by buying my dress, help with deposits for my photographer and wedding flowers, but was supportive emotionally in every way a daughter could ask for. She even chose the dress I suggested that she wasn't sure she'd like but fell in love with (vintage lace) while casually shopping. She would always show me any items she bought such as shoes and accessories to make sure i'd love them. She was just so incredibly sweet! So I just want to say mom, thank you so much! I love you and you looked amazingly beautiful on the wedding day and your kindness and loving heart shone through! My mom is my best friend!     |

Although I have finally figured out how to add a background with the right html codes, I just wanted to say thanks so much for taking the time to figure out the code for my new background before I did. Turns out it's really pretty simple ha ha, but non the less, thanks for figuring out for me! I am sure there are a lot of girls here who appreciate all your help, so THANKS again on behalf of all of us! What do you ladies think ... isn't this background pretty? I am in LOVE with my blog even more! UPDATE: I just figured out how to get the scalloped part of my background on here - it was missing before and now it's even more pretty - YAY! |

Hey there ladies, I am not sure who it was the other day telling me they never gets any Michael's coupons in the mail so I figured I'd help you out and everyone else too. I mean who doesn't want to save money right? I never get mine in the mail. I go straight to this website that always has the latest coupons before I go shopping to Michael's. It is updated weekly or whenever they have no promo's. When I was planning the wedding my husband and I would print multiple coupons and go everyday to get the items we needed. I just thought I'd make a post to share some useful information on how to make your own inspiration boards. This website is super easy and is a great tool for planning your wedding and creating mood boards that imitate the 'feel or mood' you hope to acheive on your wedding day. You can print them and carry them around with you. Making collections of particular engagement shots or wedding photos and printing them so you can show your photographer is really helpful. You could even give her a copy to carry the day of your shoot or wedding as a reminder. It is easier to have a collage of them on one page then sending or printing many single pictures.
