Ask a Question
Any other brides on blogger? Or will you start a new one after the wedding?
![]() Well ladies, after reading Sapphire2009's earlier post I am glad to realize I am not the only one feeling this way! Now that all the wedding planning is over I never thought I'd say how much I miss all the aspects of it and feeling warranted for keeping up on here. I have tried to remain useful to all you ladies by providing templates from my wedding, commenting on posts, and offering advice. However, I know will slowly have to ween myself away as I am sure I wont be as helpful as 'current bride.' But, I will definitely be keeping up with some of the weddings I followed while being a bride to see the fruits of your creativity and the final products. I will also from time to time post anything that may be inspirational to you ladies. I have however, created another blog inspired again by Sapphire2009. It is the blog for after marriage I guess. I have come to realize how nice it can be to record our experiences and journey's. So I wonder if there will be any other brides that plan on starting another blog? I recommend bloggers.com which is what we are on. It is a little more difficult than this blog, but then again I am in no way COMPUTER SAVY unlike Mrs. Sapphire ... beautifully done! Mine is just started no posts yet, but feel free to become a follower as I'll hopefully start blogging soon. So if anyone would like to visit .... http://jetaimemoncheri-aimee.blogspot.com |

Becoming a Mrs
I didn't expect it to be so expensive to become a Mrs!
![]() Goodness gracious, I guess with the wedding having past a few months ago now, I thought it was safe to assume I have to think or fret about wedding expenses ever again! Well, in the process of changing my name today I am realizing that I should have tacked on close to another $150.00 for all the identification costs that comes with replacing them for my new name. Most things don't cost, but I realized today that I do now have replace my passport which $87.00, plus $15.00 for new pictures (as I misplaced my second original passport photo), and also our local car Insurance company MPI is the only place that will not accept your church issued marriage certificate as proof. Thus, I now have to pay another $25.00 to obtain a marriage certificate from vital statistics Manitoba. I forgot to ask, but you may also have to pay a $20.00 fee to get your new license as well. Oh and not mention, if you had to take a day off from work (luckily I had a free day) to run around to your banks, governments branches, and all then other little places you have to go to in person or sit on simply the time spent waiting on the phone - ALL IN ALL, IT REALLY STARTS TO ADD UP! But on the bright side ... I'm a MRS now and that's pretty exciting and so I guess it makes it all worth it ! |

Inspiration Board
Will our wedding's really look like these?
![]() I was going through my pictures saved on my USB and I had a folder with these inspiration boards in them that I had forgot to make a post about before the wedding. So I have to put them up because they are so pretty, and every girl likes to look at pretty things! This led me to think about this .... It's very interesting see how different our weddings turn out in comparison to the inspiration boards we are attracted to or hope to achieve. In reality I think it is safe to say that for the most part, many of these beautiful inspiration boards are usually much more luxurious and extremely costly to achieve. They are most likely staged or only affordable if you have a ridiculous budget, like an actor or actress. But I guess it's nice to dream anyway! So, I have asked my photographer if while she's editing she can make an inspiration board of my wedding. I am curious to see if all my details will look as luxurious and beautiful as these inspiration boards do! I guess we'll see... keep posted, I'll put it up when I get it! http://jetaimemoncheri-aimee.blogspot.com |

Ask a Question
Would you like the template for this Program
![]() Hey ladies, these here are our wedding programs and table numbers that I personally designed and created only two nights before the wedding. Seeessshhhh were these completely last minute and a bit stressful to add only a couple nights before the wedding. However, I am so glad I did them as I think they turned out beautifully :) Anyways, it has occurred to me that since wedding programs can cause a lot of anxiety on how to format them and what they should include without becoming a novel, I thought I could be a doll and help my WBC gals out by sending the templates out to those who are stressing about these details and would really appreciate a hand. After all there's nothing better than someone helping you out with a huge project as we all know how many there are! My Maid of Honor helped me design the scrolls, thus I am "PAYING IT FORWARD" and lending a hand to those who would like one ;) The program is a simple six page program. The first page has our names, date, and the location of both the wedding and reception. The second page includes the names of our songs during the ceremony. The third page lists the names of the parents of the bride, parents of the groom, and our wedding party. Page four lists important people and venues worth mentioning such as MC, honorary guest book attendant, florist, photographer , music, etc. The fifth page is the dinner menu, and lastly our special thank you page to family and friends. I will send the template for the program as is, however I will leave the "thank you" page blank so you can make it personal to your family and friends. Ours is personal to us and our family and friends, and I am sure you will come up with something beautiful for your own thank you page ;) ![]() ![]() I also DIY'ed our table numbers using the same scrolls that the programs and seating charts have. We wanted to share our wonderful engagement pictures with our guests so this is what they looked like. I printed out the numbers first on cardstock. Then Christopher and I chose our favorite engagement pictures together which was fun, once we found the ones we liked we had them printed (black and white in this case). We then mounted them on to the backside of each table number and had them laminated so they would not be ruined. I will also include this template if you'd like it? If you would like a copy of these templates please leave me your email typed out exactly so that I can simply copy and paste it onto my mailing list. I hope this helps with some items of your wedidng-to-do list! Please feel free to visit the rest of my blog and check out any other DIY projects and freebies! I also love to hear what you think of our table numbers and programs. |

Irresistible ...
I had to share how much I love this look and color combination!
![]() Sorry girls, I know this is nothing wedding related really, but tonight I just put on my new Pewter and Purple Bedroom Suite (I got from my mother-in-law-and sister-in-law at my shower) and started googling purple and pewter to get some idea's on how to decorate the rest of the room. I found all this stuff and I am in LOVE with it! Although my bedroom looks nothing like these pictures, as we are still in an apartment and I can't paint the boring boxy walls. However, I one day aspire to have a room that looks like these. I am thinking this look would be beautiful for a little girl! I know I'd want to spend all my time in a room of as amazing as these if I was a girl or even adult perhaps ;) Aren't these rooms to die for?!?!? I love the shabby chic, romantic, but modern look to these rooms. And that soaker tub, how amazing! Ok, i'll shut up now! |

Wedding Reception
Wasn't Impressed on my Wedding Day with This!
![]() As I sit here thinking about the wedding day, I really couldn't think of anything I could complain about until I remembered this. One of my bridesmaid's mom and sister made me a beautiful wedding day survival kit as part of my wedding shower gift. So I thought I would make use of it and leave it in the bathroom for anyone who might need any of the items in it ie. guests, bridesmaids, or myself. Well low and behold while one of my bridesmaids were in the restroom, they watched from inside a stall two girlfriends of my Husband's friends stuff their purses with all the items from in the basket. And ladies there were a lot of things, including some awesome lip glosses from bath and body! It didn't make it pass the dinner. When my girlfriend came out and told me who they were I was so shocked ... I really didn't think anyone would do that. Well the next day, a friend told me that one of my bridesmaids was in the restroom with another bridesmaid later in the night, and the same two girls were in there that stole the stuff. So my same bridesmaid (who's mom had given me the gift) was like "I can't believe someone would steal all of the stuff from the basket, like how pathetic can you be!?!? It's was meant for EVERYONE!" Apparently the two girls walked out immediately looking guilty. So the lesson of the story is girls, if your going to provide a survival basket for guests make sure to leave a sign or poem like this (I totally forgot to make one as it was on my list minute things to do): So happy youre here to share in our special day!!! But should something happen to go astray, Please help yourself to the contents within, Hair spray (or Wet wipe), hand lotion, gum and even aspirin, Use only what you need and leave the rest, It may be useful to another guest. So repair the damage that may have been done, Then hurry on back and join the fun!!! Compliments of the Newlyweds |

NWR - Halloween Costume
So Proud of Myself ... YAY!
![]() So ladies I NEVER EVER go out for Halloween Parties. I most often rather hang out with other couples and watch scary movies, carve pumpkins, and hand out candy to the cute little ones. Well this year I am going to a Halloween Wedding Social and I had no clue what to be! I really wanted to be a flapper girl in the worst way ... love the old school look with the pearls, lace, and feathers. However, I didn't want to spend mega $$$$$$ for something cheaply made that hardly covered my a$$! he he Anyways, normally I would go out and spend a fortune on a costume anyway just to not be the only one there without one, but tonight I thought of something very clever that will cost me absolutely nothing and is still hot but modest. I picked out some black leggings and a black empire top. I will wear some sexy high heel pumps, and (I already practiced and it turned out awesome) ... all my mac make up with a painted detailed cat face! I wont buy ears as well as I figured out a clever way to pin up my hair that will look close enough to ears in the dark. The husband woke up just as I was finishing and was quite impressed. He said it was the perfect outfit/costume as he always calls me his "puss n' boots" cause I have big eyes like puss and boots from shrek. And I tend to act innocent when I'm a trouble maker lol! |

Ask a Question
Are you using a wedding planner or did you use one?
![]() So, I am curious as to how many brides are using a wedding planner or used one for their wedding. If so, do you find it especially helpful and which one are you using? I bought the one shown in this picture, but looking at it now I didn't really fill anything out in it. I mostly just used the folder slots in each section (eg.cake, stationary etc). for keeping my contracts, business cards, and advertisements organized. I could literally pass the book down to my daughter one day in the future as her 'something old', however I found a lot of the information in it very old school so I could only imagine how out dated it will be by then and wonder if she'd even want it hah! How about you ladies ... has it been your life saver or was it more of an exciting thing to go out and buy just to make being engaged and planning feel official? |

Wedding Photography
Our Engagement Photo's
![]() Here they all are ... these took forever to upload! I figured I'd put them all up as I finally got my CD. There were so many to choose from (over 300) so I chose as many of our favorites I could put up. I also put the black and white and its complimentary color picture as some of them look better in black and white or color. I really have to say that I absolutely loved our engagement session. I also think I may like these pictures even more than our wedding pictures. The reason is that I much prefer the candid shots over the posed shots as we were able to be so relaxed together and just be "us." I do love my wedding pictures too, the half of them I have gotten anyways - can't wait for the rest. I'll put up the rest of my wedding pictures when I get those on a cd too. We were suppose to do the 'day after' photo shoot at one of our beaches that has these beautifully old piers (for free), but we were too pooped the next day and opted to do them another time. I really REGRET not doing them. Anyways, our photographer wants them for her portfolio anyways so we are still doing them next summer. It will be amazing to take my dress onto the each and into the water. I am looking forward to it! These ones below are some of my personal favorites! |
