My Mommy got a Dress
It's so beautiful, a must see!
 So my mom finally got her dress, and it is phenomenal! I absolutely love it. I did pick it after all ha ha ha! She was very hesitant when i first picked it out, but said she'd give it a try. Well it was the first one she tried on and that was it, she loved it! Hers will be in chocolate brown as seen in the picture, and she might get it shortened! She'll decide when it comes in! It's looks way better in person as this one is a pretty big size! She was a little concerned it had lace like my dress, but I don't care, I think it is beautiful! What do you ladies think ... no big deal right? |

Our Wedding Social turned out to be a blast! We had about 230 people throughout the night which was an awesome turn out for us! The music was great, the shooter bar was awesome, the jail n' bail went over really well, and the prizes were amazing! All in all we had a great time seeing all our friends and family it was a blast! |

So the Wedding Social is exactly one week away... oh my goodness! Tonight my MOH and I had a girls night with some ordered in Chinese food followed by wrapping of all the social gifts with cellophane. Let me tell you ... it was a lot of work! It took us almost 3 hours to wrap the 12 gifts we have so far, but they do look great! Our Gifts Include: Gift #1 - Espresso Machine, set of 4 espresso cups and saucers, and tonnes of coffee Gift # 2 - "Romance Package" including massage oil, bottle of wine, wine glasses, $20 gift certificates to two local sex shops, $50 gift certs to a fancy restaurant, candles, and scented rose petals oh and a Strawberry Condom for fun ;) Gift # 3 - 2 pc. I am procrastinating on WBC just one last time for the day (ok maybe not the last time for the day) before I begin to study for my last exam of the year, yay! Couldn't wait for tomorrow to come sooner so I can say I AM DONE! I found these inspiration boards and love them very much, so I thought i'd share them. Aren't they so pretty? How amazing would these be as favors? Heart shaped tea!
I absolutely love these! They would have suited us so well as favors for our guests as me and my sweetie love to have tea together AND our wedding is pink and gold! Might I mention from the top view they are heart shaped! Too bad they are about $1,300.00 plus taxes and shipping for 150 of them.I am very sad, I wish they were so much cheaper. I would have had my favors chosen in an instant! :( Anyways, had to post them none-the-less! Aren't they adorable? |

So these are the beautiful candelabra's we may be using for the centerpieces at the wedding. They are so beautiful and antique looking, perfect for a gold and blush pink wedding! The centerpieces will look much like the third picture just in smaller scale with no flowers at the base and with a pillar candle in the center of each. Aren't they pretty? |

Wedding Flowers
So this is what our flower estimate is for!
For those following previous posts, you know I have been frustrated to the max with my flaky (potential) florist. She finally got back to me almost in tears cause she is so overwhelmed with having opened her new business! She feels really bad for taking so long and has promised if i choose her she will make the wedding wonderful! I went for a meeting with another florist earlier today and her quote was cheaper, but only because it wouldn't have been as nice as what Bonny has arranged for me (the first florist). As well, I didn't feel confident that this second florist knew what I wanted as my theme. Romantic, very open, dusty pink and cream roses. Anyways, i am going to think about this long and hard and make my decision by next week! Aren't the gold candelabra's gorgeous? The forth picture is closer to what my arrangement would look like, just in dusty colors and not the bright red. They centerpieces will also have pillar candles on each one in the center! I love the idea soooo much, that's why i can't let her go! I brought my fiance to meet her and get his opinion and after seeing her boutique shop and her portfolio's he said to me "I always thought flowers were just flowers and that her quote was ridiculous, but she truly is an artist and you can tell the difference between her work and what i normally see. I definitely think she could do a beautiful job, she's good at the artistry part but just not the business part so maybe cut her some slack?" It made me feel better that he appreciated it too! So I'll let you know the final decision! |

Have you been to the Mayan Riviera in Mexico? If so, what was it like ... honeymoon material? I am considering it for our honeymoon. I hear it is a bit pricey but well worth it. We are planning on going during the down time, so this may help on the cost. Any suggestions or advice? |

Florist driving me crazy!
Some of you may remember I made a post about vendors not getting back to me promptly with estimates! Well, you may think this is nuts of me, but when I thought I found the florist of my dreams I was determined to hire her to do the wedding. She had the perfect envision of what I wanted and even had the flowers in a bouquet ready for me at our meeting (on Feb. 17th). She told me she'd get back to me in a few days. Several weeks later, 3 emails and 4 phone calls later trying to see if she was still alive, she finally gives me my estimate which was way out of the price range discussed! Really knowing she does fabulous work I asked her to revise some things in hopes to afford her. This estimate took another few weeks several emails later she brought it down from a ridiculous prices to a not much less ridiculous price for beautiful centerpieces with candelabra's, pillar candles and all the bouquets, arrangement, boutonniere's etc. Then I asked for one last estimate WITHOUT centerpieces since it was still way out of my budget. And she again has told me asap 2 weeks ago! I am so pissed already but haven't been able to just DROP her! She was so great at our meeting and new exactly what I wanted with a great rep for doing beautiful work! I know I am crazy and should tell her see ya later i wouldn't recommend you to anyone, but I am desperate for her beautiful work and it's pathetic already. So I finally sent her one last email in hopes she'll get her shit together! |

These are their Dresses!
So the girls officially bought all their dresses yesterday! I am so relieved to have gotten this out of the way. We couldn't find anything for the longest time and the wedding is in only 4 months, so they are going to arrive very close to the wedding. I hope everything works out fine and they arrive with enough time for alterations! The girls ordered them in blush pink, and they all fit the girls so well! This particular designer is a bit more expensive than most bridesmaid dresses, but these are a lot nicer than your typical bridesmaid dresses! I definitely think it was worth it and so do the girls! They did get 25% when all dresses were ordered in full. I think the girls like them enough that they may wear them on another occasion. I know my maid of honor is pumped about them! Yay! One more thing completed on the list! I am so happy. Aren't they awesome!? |
