Something Old, New, Borrowed, & Blue
 I definitely think one of the greatest parts when planning a wedding is all the careful thought and meticulously planning that goes into all the lovely details on the big day. Second best - having your photographer capture each and every one of them! I really can say that most of my favourite pictures from the wedding day or any wedding for that matter {next to the emotions of the bride and groom} would have to be all the details such as cakes, garters, flowers, rings, wedding day shoes etc. One tradition I especially love is collection items/details that include Something old, new, borrowed, and blue, {and don't forget} the brides lucky Sixpence for her shoe. Some of these items have sentiment while other choices are strictly fun details and accessories to add to the big day! One of our very own brides on the site had a great idea too - she made adorable little tent cards for each of her items {Something Old, New, Borrowed, Blue, and a Sixpence for her shoe} so that these items were set apart from her other details. Ok, I know I'm an already married woman {only a week away from our two year mark yay!!!!!} but I have to admit a dirty little secret ... I still LOVE weddings and can't get away from what one may call wedding porn! I still love reading wedding blogs to become inspired, learn the latest trends and tips, brush up on my DIY knowledge etc, and of course my favourite past time - perusing thru all the beautiful images of real life weddings! Not only do I have my own Etsy shop {wedding related}, i am also hoping to get into photography soon and see what I can do with it! So as you can see, it's a bit of a problem ... ok, maybe more like a love or hobby lol but i am sure some of you know what I mean! Anyways, onwards with the point of this post! When I come across something awesome I just want to share it, so you girls are the perfect to introduce an awesome new wedding blog that is really amazing for inspiration and has sooooo many DIY projects and free downloadable's you just have to check out! The site is called The Pretty Blog and I think you will all love it {may be my next favorite to Wedding Chicks}! Honestly, we all know how much weddings can amount up to, so any blog that offers DIY knowledge on awesome projects and great dowloadables is definitely a friend of mine and could be yours too! I am sharing just one awesome free downloadable project just to give you an example of one of many great projects. So in the spirit of Shabby chic/vintage, I choose these awesome "Thank you" Bridesmaids tags that are a pretty addition to ANY gift you may have for your girls, wether your theme is vintage or not, these are absolutely adorable! Goodness gracious has it ever been a very long time since I last posted or even been around on the site! So many new brides, I hardly know anyone now which is a bit sad. Almost everyone I had been following after my wedding is now happily married so a big congratulations to them. Seems that I have a bit of catching up to do on all the wedding porn lol. To all the newer brides, a big hello and welcome from what you can call a Veteran bride I guess. I hope this site is treating you as well as it did me and the ladies around my time. We were such a tight knit community and it was absolutely awesome on here, I really do miss it a lot! Anyways, I just wanted to make a quick mention that the free templates for the table numbers and programs are still available that are under the "All Time"hot talk section, however, please note that I only email them out once every month. If you are in dire need of them asap because your wedding in near and these are dear to you, please feel free to send me a message via my profile. I just ask that if you DO NOT need them right away and have a year or months before the wedding, please just leave your email on the original post here so that I am not bombarded with emails every day. I love helping anyone I can whenever I can, but it can get time consuming if I have to individually email brides and respond to messages, so I prefer to try to do it all at once in one sitting. I've been MIA
but I'm Back in Action!!!!
Sweet sweet jesus has this been way too long since i've last posted - yikes! After being MIA for some time, I am finally back and hoping to catch up on much that I have missed! I know there must be a heap full of new brides to this site - so a personal welcome from moi and a congratulations to all the new girlies planning your soon-to-be dream weddings! You've found the ultimate site for great ideas, inspirations, and all around support for your every wedding need ;) Not much is new over here other than still being happily in love with my best friend. In fact our eight year anniversary of being together just passed a few weeks ago. It's crazy to think we have been together so long. Sometimes it seems like it was just yesterday we were flirting in the University lounge like little critters with Spring fever lol! Other than that, I have been crazy busy with work and now my Etsy shop which is almost starting to become a second full time job - yay! Oh and maybe I should mention that the baby fever has crept up a bit since everyone around me seems to be having beautiful babies ... sighhh* all in good time though :) Anyways, I am not sure how well the comments have been going on the site as things seemed to be a bit stagnant since I was last on, but rest assured I will be trying to follow and keep up as often as I can to get my daily fix of prettiness and wedding porn lol while offer my support and comments on all your projects, ideas, etc!
