Bridesmaids
Dress: Choice # 3
I would order this dress in the colour shown in the first picture. The other pics are of Dani and Yva trying on the long version in dark green. We would not order the long version, I just wanted them to try it on to get the idea. The dress has a corset tie back closure. This dress is between $150 and $175, I have to find out exactly. This one was very flattering on!
I don't think anyone would need to add straps to this dress as it is very sturdy and their really isn't a lot of risk of it needing to be tugged up all the time! Wow, I was just looking at the second photo... Dani and Yva are going to look really funny standing next to each other in the bridal party because of their height difference! lol Oh well! |

Bridesmaids
Dress: Choice #2
This dress is satin as well. The seamstress could tack it so it has a bit of a sweetheart neckline if we want to. We can add straps if anybody is uncomfortable with strapless (on pretty much any of the bridesmaid dress options). I would order it in the colour shown in the second photo. $100 more or less. I think this would be very flattering on all my bridesmaids, but I don't know because we can't try it on.

Bridesmaids
Dress: Choice #1
This dress would be hemmed just above the knee or wherever you girls would like. We could do a straight hem or a slight bubble. It is satin and way better in real life than the internet photo that I saw. It would be in a turquoisey blue. $100 or a bit over. This is Chris's top choice and he keeps telling me so! lol

Finally!
We are starting to plan our wedding!
We've spent the past year stuck between the fact that we want to get married on a beach in the Caribbean, but that we also want our wedding close by so that our grandparents, friends and relatives will be able to be a part of it. My family is all over Saskatchewan, his is in Calgary. After so long of putting it off, we realized that we just want to be married and it doesn't really matter where. Chris has promised me that someday we will do a vow renewal on the beach with everything I had wanted on my list for my "dream" wedding: the sandy Beach, turquoise water, sailboat, plumeria in my hair, bare feet, candles on the beach, tiki torches, afro-drummers, reggae music, BBQ Chicken and Garlic Conch on a big outdoor grill...you know.... the dream! :)
But I've been ok with letting go of my dream and just realizing that I love Chris and it doesn't matter where we get married. Now we've decided on Calgary with an outdoor ceremony at Bakers Park on the riverbank and a reception dinner at Heritage Park and a cocktail cruise on the S.S. Moyie Sternwheeler. The boat is what sealed the deal for me! It is so important to me that there be water at the wedding and a boat makes it that much better! The whole plan is starting to grow on me and we are getting so excited now! Here is a link to a video about the S.S Moyie: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V22gAm3O6sc |
