For the Lover in You
a "Vintage Romance" affair
Like many ladies I've gone through various colors, ideas, inspiration boards and found it EXTREMELY difficult to combine all of my thoughts, visions, and feelings into one unifying theme...but I've finally found it and I think it's THE ONE!!! (Drumroll please...) Vintage Romance!

I settled on this theme after taking into account a few things: the song I'll walk down the aisle to (Chrisette Michele's "Golden"), our first dance song (Raheem Devaughn's "Mo Betta"), these 2 dresses I can't get my mind around, a simple yet beautiful invite, and this gorgeous picture I found that will serve as a nontraditional centerpiece for my mismatched tables.

Both songs have an old-school feel to them and describe love in a way that both The Man and I both deeply understand it to be. The dresses, well, they're self-explanatory. Just gorgeous and timeless. What brought it all together was really the inspiration picture. As soon as I saw it, it SCREAMED vintage romance. It reminded me of back-in-the-day when women used to be courted, doors were opened, and chairs pulled out. That's how The Man treats me and I want everyone to get that feel again on our special day...

Im actually not going to use these in particular b/c they'd be WAY out of my price range, but I got the picture/inspiration from CeciNY. They make fabulous (looking, not priced) invites.
