Wedding Reception
More Wedding Trinkets
Because we wanted to give our guests even more wedding related trinkets to take away we found some great sources for relatively inexpensive favor items that have a pretty fast turn around time.
Our general favor is a shot glass with our names and wedding date on it - I got these for $0.50 each! That is a great price - of course that is volume pricing - we got 144 of them - but at the most, they cost $0.96. That is pretty cheap considering what favors cost these days. I ordered them from Lua Custom Designs, they also do highball and wine glasses - at an increased price of course. I got white 3x3 tuck top boxes from papermart.com along with Tiffany Blue organza ribbon to tie on each box for a total of $45.00 - keep in mind this 200 boxes and 3 spools 50 yds. each of ribbon. Papermart sells everything wholesale and you don't have to be a vendor to buy from them. We also got personalized matchbooks and napkins from the knot. For 200 cocktail napkins and 100 match books, we spent about $55.00 including shipping. We are going to pile the matches in a martini glass vase at the bar and I found that a website called flowersandsupplies.com for $17.99 (it's 10" high and about 9" wide). This is all good inexpensive stuff to make your wedding personal without going broke! |

Wedding Reception
Signature Drink
So in keeping with the whole Tiffany/Aqua theme of the wedding we decided to hunt downa signature drink to be served during our reception and to my great joy, I found a website that will allow you to search for drinks by color! It is absolutdrinks.com and they have drinks in all sorts of fun colors. So after having a taste testing with my bridal party we settled on the Electric Aqua.
It's pretty tasty if I do say so myself and the venue created a great sign to display at the bar with the name of the drink, the contents and our names and wedding date. I thought this was a nice little touch and didn't cost us a penny extra since we already had the open bar option with our venue. So if you are thinking of doing this, check out the website for ideas! |

DIY Wedding
Welcome Gift Baskets
So I am working on my welcome gift baskets for my out town guests. Since it is 1 per room, I have to make up 20. I deceided to kind of make them a catch all with things we never think to bring when we travel - tylenol, antacid, snacks, tea bags, water, itinerary, listing of local restaurants, coupon books plus I had a magnet created with our monogram on it (we've got the same monogram on our aisle runner) - I got 50 magnets from Vista Print for about $25.00. I thought it was a cute little keepsake of the weekend.
We're going to drop them off at the hotel the Thursday before the wedding since that is the day people are arriving. I've decided to pack everything in gable boxes and I have some wedding labels I'll stick on the front and tie some nice curling ribbon through the handle. What do you think ladies? Is that enough stuff?? |

Wedding Decoration
Centerpieces
As a bride on a budget I searched for centerpieces that wouldn't break the bank, so that basically cut flowers out of the picture. But I did decide to go with the Ostrich Feather Centerpieces in Eiffel Tower vases.
I am doing these as DIY project along with a friend that happens to be an event decorator. For all the supplies - vases, feathers, floralytes and foam bouquet holders I spent about $300, which considering how much flowers would have cost is not too shabby I think. And the great thing about them is that you can change the colors of the feathers for a different look and get different color floralytes. One thing to note, definitely get frosted white eiffel tower vases - if you get clear you end up having to get filler to hide the stem of the bouquet holder! And to add a little "bling" to the table I found table diamonds - a bag of 2,000 for $17. They also come in other colors if you want to spice it up. |

For All My Fellow Tiffany Brides!
Great Tiffany Blue Linnens!
Hello to All of My Fellow Tiffany Blue Brides!
I'm new to the sight, but wanted to share some of the things that I am doing to really make my Tiffany/Silver/White wedding really pop. We wanted to really make a statement and keep everything "glamourous" in keeping with the elegance that comes to mind when you think of Tiffany & Co. Though this color is super popular these days you really have to dig to find great stuff. So I wanted to share! My venue provides you with the standard white floor length linens, but I wanted that Tiffany color pop so I am renting Tiffany Blue Lamour Table Runners and Napkins from BBJ Linens. They are great and the color is dead on (see photo). If you want to see some of their work definitely check out their website. |
