Drama on the Knot/Nest/Bump ?!

Sorry!  {hug} I had signed up on the knot but I never go there.  I had read a few nasty exchanges between users and it pretty much turned me off from the site (well the community).  I call it the +snot+.

While I was wedding planning, I'd never gone to the knot message board bc I'd seen a lot of women complain about the harsh comments. But, I have been on the TTC board and it's no exception to snark comments. I'm so sorry you had to go through that and congrats on your pregnancy. I'm not on the TTCAL board and they are ok over there. The way I see it is some of these women are quite board with life. So, they become internet bullies to fill the emptiness. I think there's a baby names board. Have you tries posting there?

like nerdygirl i signed up but hardly go there too... i also saw some nasty exchanges and never went back.... and besides the site is just too complicated and full of too any things at once...

oh sh!t Yes! these women are beyond rude i have never seen a bunch of what i swear are bitter women who truly not sure why they even getting married and are on there.I was on the knot for  2 weeks when i had to email them and ask to be removed from thier site i wanted no part with such ignorant ppl.These women can be so mean and rude to each other all it took was my intro post to see everyones true colors  i was told since i was already married apparently i dont need to have the wedding im planning mind you when never did 10 years ago  we just went to cityhall with my parents and a few close friends so no reception, none of us had a shower or bachlore so they went on about my time has passed and there was no point, obviously we are not having any bachorlette parties but  we can get together with our friends and have fun like werent able to do the first time around there i sat reading stupid comments and wanted to reply but figure if their ass were that ignorant there was really no point and just left.Thank goodness this site is not like that yes everyone has their own opinions but there is no need to be rude  when ppl do that it just shows bitterness of some sort ilke they are not fully happy. I remeber one women had a signature that read "im not a Bitch Im just in a  pissed off mood everyday" or sum nonse like that  lol! i was like wtf? seriously?wow! lol! anywho dont bother with them especially while preggers u dont need the extra stres from non supportive ppl have you tried babycenter.com? im on ther but the canadian one, well regardless if you still want to post on here  gohead i still see women post about babies and pregnancy on here its ok, we are way much more supportive on here. sorry it was such a long repky but my blood boils when i hear the name "The Knot" and need to vent about it lol!

when I first got engagedI was clueless on what to do first. My friends told me about the knot and I signed up to check it out. There is just tooooo much info. I like to say the ladies on the knot are brides on steroids, LOL.....
I haven't really read any blogs and have never posted on their site so I can't say that I think they're rude but I'll def. take your advice and stick to the WBC fam who's been there, and been supportive, the whooooole time :-)

The knot is pretty notorious for mean/rude comments.  Brides.com has some rude members too.

i think i posted one thing on the knot ever- and got ripped to shreds for it. they're so catty and bitchy! I ended up relying on WBC and weddingbook on FB instead. :)

Yes!!!! I only posted 4 things in total on there and I was embarrassed and humiliated... After finding this perfect family I would never go back! WBC all the way!! :)

i agree! those women are soo freakin' rude! I posted something once when i started planning and OMG!!! They started making fun of me and talking crap... I deleted my account and created a new one but never got on again.... i LOVE WBC!!!!!

a great pregnancy site is babyfit.com. I personally have never been on theknot

the community at babyfit, there is amazing and you have life long relationships with the women there. I have been on there since my first child was born.

I've gotten a couple rude comments on here, and a few on the babyfit site, but mostly it's a matter of opinion I guess.
Sometimes we just can't convey an opinion without it coming off harshly you know?

@nerdygirl..I like that!  the snot..that sounds about right.

@ladybugg..i agree the comments are very snark and counterproductive..but that makes sense that they are trying to fill some sort of emptiness, makes them feel powerful perhaps.  I did post this on the baby name board.  One person in particular wrote in response to my name choice of Chrisette for a girl's name, "PLEASE do NOT do this to your child," another said it was ugly.  I'm sorry that's just rude... if I chose that name to mimic my husband's middle name Christopher what business is it of theirs to attack my post like that...but good luck to you ladybugg! Miss seein you on the boards!

@fairytalebride..you are soo right..who needs that extra stress and by the way who cares what they think..if they don't agree..they shouldn't comment...we don't need approval from somebody that i'm sure wouldn't say that same crap to our faces..but instead they hide behind a computer screen..

@saphfiire, jenniferbelanger4, and pinkchikis...you are so right!! WBC is like no other..I truly miss posting here..but I felt bad to post some pregnancy stuff on here...but WBC is so supportive and we generally only give encouragement on here (:

@kittyvenglish...I found babyfit.com the other night while I was cruising the web and babycenter.com.  I enjoyed reading some of the posts on there..I will definitely flock to where the better crowd is..with WBC at the top of that list..
