Fish Center Pieces!

Instead of flowers I have decided that I will be having a fish bowl and fish on each table. I love fish and I went to a wedding before that had them as center pieces and it went over really well with guests.

We will be buying Flora lights that are submergable to put in vase to light it up.

I have a betta myself and they are such great fish that take little care. If anyone did not want the fish we will be setting up a table with a sign that says fish adoption and any fish that are left at the end of the nightwill take them all back home.

I am working on a little instructional book with pictures and detail on how to look after them.

Wedding Shoes

Shoes, Shoes SHOES!!!!! Wedding shoes!!

I love shoes. I can't help it I am a woman what else can I say. I want the perfect pair of pumps for the ceremony but I haven't quite decided yet if I should go for a bold pair of Red heal or a classy white pair. I love Jimmy Choo shoes and I would love to have a pair for my wedding. I have collected some photos of the shoes I like.

This is probably the only time I will be able to justify buying a pair of Jimmy Choo's so I may just go for it!

So which ones should I buy white or red? I love the wow factor of red shoes but I am just afraid I am going to look like Dorthy from the Wizard of Oz!!!

A collection of photo's

Here is a collection of random wedding poses that I have collected that I would like to have taken on my special day....

We have decided on a photographer and we have booked him for our wedding day. A friend of mine actually used him and I loved his photos. The only issue is I am a little concerned at how much he costs the grand total is going to come to $4,800 for the day.

How much is every one else spending? am I crazy for spending this much money or is this the normal price?

Here is what we are getting:

* 8 hours of consecutive coverage with myself and my Associate(s)
* Engagement Session with online slideshow
* Hi-Res DVD proofs
* Online Wedding Day slideshow
* Online Proofing for easy ordering and sharing with friends and family

I'm also throwing in a finished 10x10 30-page flush-mount Leather album for my last 2 bookings in 2009 :)

Colors

Color Chaos comes to an end... I think?

The colors and theme of my wedding has become the ongoing running joke in my family. Every week, my Fiancé or family will ask me "what colors have you decided on for this week?" I dont know why its so difficult for me to commit to a color scheme. I am promising to marry one man for the rest of my life!!!! You would think that choosing wedding colors would be a piece of cake but it has been far from it.

I think I have found my wedding colors for real, final answer, no second thoughts....
RED, DARK GREY AND WHITE I think??!!! Sorry, old habits die hard. I may just go with Grey and Red depending on the selection the wedding venue has. The problem with grey is there are so many variations and I like the dark charcoal Grey not the lighter version. The second problem is my venue only provides white every other color is extra and he only has light grey in his selection and that will just not cut it. My other option is to rent the dark silk grey table clothes and have red roses in the center but the what about the chairs? ekkk! As, you can see maybe incorporating white may save me from some headaches in the end.

I am going to compile a collage of my colors as an inspiration to show everyone the complete vision. What colors is every one else choosing? and be honest was it a hard choice?

I must have a PHOTO BOOTH!!!!

I love the idea of having a photo booth at my wedding!!! I know, I know its an extra unnecessary cost that every keeps try to talk me out of but I just cant let it go!!!

So far, the most reasonable price place I was able to find is photo booth which will end up costing me $1,100.00 for a five hour wedding reception. I was also thinking of having little pictures frames as our wedding favors to tie into the photo booth.

If you guys have heard of any other companies serving the Toronto, ON area that have a lower cost please help a fellow bride!!! And I was also trying to find frames either ones for a photo booth strip or one single picture. Please let me know what you guys think!!

I love that the guests can take there photos home and they give you DVD with all the proofs!!

Wedding Reception

Finally Decided on Reception

So after looking and looking we finally decided on a hall called Primer Place which has resonable rates. So far, the staff have been amazing at answering all of our questions. The plate cost I think will come to $80.00 but I am not quite sure yet. I still have a couple of question I need to ask! We had originally decided on March 14th but now I am thinking that a date in November may be better seeing that the prices would be a bit cheaper. What do you guys think is it worth waiting two more weeks for a cheaper plate or am I talking a risk that my ruin our photos?
