9 days to wedding and . . .
I have PINK EYE!!

Yep, last week it was in my left eye and this week it is in my right eye!

YUCK!!

We are supposed to have a photo shoot this afternoon. Hope we are able to reschedule it. It would be terrible to have this bright RED eye in the photos! :(

Thankfully pink eye should clear in 5-7 days. Let's hope it's 5 and not 7.

But still . . . this just stinks!

UPDATE:
Well, it is a bit better today than yesterday.

They wanted to go ahead with the photo shoot so we started getting ready, but then the lady doing the hair and makeup realized how very stressed I was and how I didn't like the idea of having one red glassy eye in the photos.

So, she went and got the photographer (hair, make up and photos all in one store here in Taiwan), and he agreed to let us reschedule for next week.

So, we won't have them before the wedding, but they will get done, and hopefully with no pink eye! :)

Nevertheless, yesterday was a stressful day for me. However, I did get to see my gentle, loving, kind, patient groom in action, and that was wonderful. :)

i'm so sorry to hear that. the photographer could possibly photoshop your pink eye though so it doesn't look that bad?

i get pink eye occasionally from wearing my contacts and it seems to always clear up within a week so you should deff be good for the wedding.

you NEED to see a Dr. They can give you drops or even a gel that goes in your eye that will clear it up fast.

Try not to touch it much. I know it's itchy, but don't get it to spread to his eyes or your other one! You must keep your hands clean at all times it is contagious! If you haven't seen the Dr. yet, use a warm cloth to keep the eye crust clean. Remember, it is contagious, so you have to be careful.

also.... any mascara or eyeliner you have been using... DITCH them... if it went to your other eye that sounds like its viral... which means your eye make is infected if you have used it any time in the last two weeks from before the first day of symptoms.. to the last..... (I'm reading this on a medical website)

I'd try to avoid eye make up at all until your big day. And see a Dr!! See them fast! When you call for an appt.. tell them you don't have time to lose, you have a wedding and severe painful pink eye and make them get you in fast.... the quicker you get treatment the quicker that icky itchy stuff will go away.

here's more I saw..

Don't touch your eyes with your hands.
Wash your hands thoroughly and frequently.
Change your towel and washcloth daily, and don't share them with others.
Change your pillowcase often.
Discard eye cosmetics, particularly mascara.
Don't use anyone else's eye cosmetics or personal eye-care items.
Follow your eye doctor's instructions on proper contact lens care
