so my mother asked me the other day whos walking you down the aisle, are both parents. I really hadnt thought of that, i just always thought my dad. Anyone else have both parents walking them down the aisle? I told my mom if it means alot to her she could. does anyone have any ideas of what the mother could do to be more involved in the wedding if she didnt walk me down the aisle?

I am doing something that is not tradtional with that as well. I lost my dad in 2008 so I asked my little brother....he agreed but then we fell out. We have since made amends but he still won't walk me down the aisle. So, my two older sons will...one on each side. I don't think that this could have worked out better.

So, I say....it's your wedding...YOUR wedding...if you want your mom to walk with you and your dad...then do just that!!!

My Dad and I have not had much of a relationship in the last 7-8 years, I think we've talked a handful of times so I originally asked my little brother to walk me down. Then one of my bridesmaids dropped out so he is now my bridesman :) My Papa (grandpa) who is my world will be walking me down (I am a total Papa's girl!!) lol

If I didn't have my Papa it would have been my mom she is one of my best friends but I wanted her to have the chance to see me walk down the aisle. I have seen it that the mothers light the individual candles for the unity candle, if you are having one you could try that.

I told my mom she would have to dress according to the bridal party if she wanted to walk me down as well. But I have a feeling the dress is going to be a whole other issue. My mother is a sexy mom so I want to tone her down a bit lol...

Those are beutiful! You could go to michaels, or any craft store and probably get the paper there. Or even hobby stores.
