Does anyone else find it a bit hilarious how in the bridal world the acronym STD is thrown around like it's nothing?

I'm sorry I know everyone means SAVE THE DATE but all I think of is actual STD's LOL.

I've decides to do magnets and I found the ones I want on this website they have awesome prices like $12.95 for 10 Large and $12.95 for 20 small ones!!!! That sounds good to me!! There are so many different designs and really easy to customize. They also have invites, personalized post its, banners and more good stuff.

I hope someone else will get some use outta this site like I did!!

I know a lot of people choose to write their own vows but is anyone writing the entire ceremony?? We are having someone we know ordained Marriage comissioner for a day so we're starting from scratch on the ceremony.

The county recorders office gives a sample ceremony but it's just the traditional boring ceremony, we wanted it to be a bit more personal, maybe even a little humurous because we laugh a lot and a wedding is no place to not be yourselves.

I'm just having a hard time getting started other than the "We are gather here today..." part. I know there's usually a statment on marriage and some readings like love poems or something about marriage from people your close to. I don't think the vows are all that hard it's really just everything else and the order things go in that I'm having trouble with.

Is anyone else writing their entire ceremony from scratch??

OK as you can tell I was very bored today and ideas are flowin out my head everywhere. We are having a BBQ reception and thought I would put together a food scheme with all the yummy goodness I wanted...it's not very "inspiring" but it's very nice to look at!!!

Ok I was just curious and was thinking about all the funny and strange things I've heard couples call eachother. So what do you call your husband to be or what does he call you??

I'll start things off

My FH has been CUPCAKE for the last four years and the funny thing is I can call him this in front of his friends and he doesn't care. his friends laugh but he tells them "if you had a girl like her you would let her call you whatever she wanted too!!"

As for me I've been Muffin since we started dating but usually Matt will call me MuffinLady.

So we're cupcake and muffin...What about everyone else out there??

Well just wanted to share my "ideas" for our wedding cakeS.

I'm proudly Norwegian (little English but we don't really count that WE"RE VIKINGS!!) I love being Norwegian so I actually got a big tattoo on my back of a Valkerie (which actually is a female viking warrior not just some stupid tom cruise movie).

Because my heritage is so special to my family and I my mom decided she was going to make me a kransekake for the wedding!!!

It's a Norwegian wedding cake and As you can see from the picture there are flags on it and every Norwegian I know puts the flags on EVERYTHING!! Cakes, gifts, Christmas Trees....everything so naturally this norwegian wedding cake's got them all over,

although I will have to hold myself back and not put the flags on it I'm not really sure what I SHOULD put on it for decoration can't put a cake top in it because it's a series of 18 almond based rings and I don't think a topper would stay put. I think of something.

Anyways I call my FH's Cupcake so naturally we have to have wedding cupcakes. The picture included is more on a basis of the setup, We're using green and yellow frosting and going to have a little green cake on the top for cutting No Butterflies or anything like that....

and also over there is the cake topper I LOVE IT!! I had such a hard time finding a top that resembles us as a couple (I'm about 6 foot tall and bleach white and my FH is short and has a way darker compexion than me and we couldn't find any that looked like us) I saw this on www.thatsmytopper.com and thought it was so cute and said more about us than if we found look-alike topper.

Oh my gosh it seems like I'm just overflowing with ideas today!!!

I'm sorry about my last post Yesterday was just a horrible day...I had found out my ticket was going to cost me $400 and realized that the wedding is about a year away and I hadn't made any progess with my debt. I really appreciated everyone that responded you guys gave me some good advice and some helpful links and I thank you for that!!

I really just don't know what came over me yesterday...I guess I had a mini-melt down LOL. I'm usually not that pessimistic and melancholy. I always try to be optimistic no matter the crappy situation I'm in.

So from now on I am just going to tell myself to relax and try to think everything will come out in the wash. After all debt will make me poor but it can't kill me or anything.

Well here's some happy news My springer spaniel Moose made it with my FSIL chihuahua Cookie and made babies....THERE SO CUTE!!!!!! I included some pictures... That's my boy moose (brown and white) he likes to pose for the camera...he's going to be our ring bearer with a little tux and bow tie.OMG he'll be so handsome!! these pics of the babies were from last week but they've gotten bigger and there eyes just opened. She had eight we lost two so now we've got 3 boys and 3 girls Half of them look like little cows. I can't wait til they start running around and we can REALLY play with them!!

Alright I'm off to spread happiness!! TODAY WILL BE A GOOD DAY!!!

I'm really truly SORRY if this is a downer but I have nowhere else to talk about this...I can't talk to my family, I don't have any friends to talk to and I feel so alone.

I have accumulated a lot of debt over the last couple years and it just never seems to go away. My bills are sky high plus a car payment PLUS all my credit card debt. Not just that but I had just gotten a speeding ticket while visiting in CA and it's going to cost me $400!!!! I can't afford that!!! That's half a months pay for me. Plus my insurance is going to go through the roof....another thing I can't afford!!

I really don't want to go into the marriage with debt on my half I'm at a loss for what to do.my parents only have enough money to get by. I know it was all my own fault though I shouldn't have put so much on my cards but I'm so compulsive and sometimes I just don't think at all. So a while ago I stopped buying myself anything extra. I haven't bought clothes for like half a year, new shoes, getting my hair cut and anything else I might want has been off limits, I don't buy myself ANYTHING. food, gas, and bills are the only things I pay for in addition to my massive debt.

My fiance can't help me because he's paying off a smaller amount of debt and just added my ring to that. It makes me feel like shit, I wish he hadn't spent so much on it.

I'm so scared, how are we going to be able to survive knowing that if anything were to happen that I would be helpless; illness, loss of job, car problems one little thing and we're screwed. My Fh wants to take out a small loan to help with the wedding but I can't even get my own stuff in order so I don't want a loan anywhere near me right now unless it's going to take care of my credit cards

I feel so stupid for letting it get this bad. I wish I could crawl into a hole and disappear forever. The bill collectors would still find me though.

I feel so hopeless and depressed even though we just got engaged and I should be on cloud 9. I hate myself for what I've done i know if I were able to get this all taken care of I would never let it happen again. I just can't keep up with all the payments for everything.

My family has always been poor and I fear that if I ever have children they'll be born into the same poverty as I was. I always told myself I was going to be better with money than my parents but I try and try and try and I keep making mass payments to my credit cards but nothing ever helps. I just don't know what to do.

If anyone actually read this whole post I appreciate you sticking around I just had no one else to talk to about this.....

I was just curious, Has anyone used or knew someone that used a Honeymoon registry?

It sounds like a great idea considering that we are paying for the wedding ourselves and probably won't have any money left over for the honeymoon. I look at places like www.Honeyfund.com but was wondering if it's worth it to set up.

I just worry about all of our guest getting us actual gifts and our registry gets no money put towards it, or should I just have family spread word of mouth that we would prefer money.

We've lived together for about 4 years and have everything for our home that we need so really all we NEED is money for a honeymoon.

Has anybody done this? Does anyone have any opinions?

I tried the Loreal Double Extend Beauty Tubes and WOW!! I don't have the longest lashes ever so any help is nice.

It was a little strange the first time I used it...I wasn't used to seeing myself with white eyelashes. And that was the only thing... you have to practice making sure you cover all the white stuff but WOW!!

This stuff really works and once you get used to the product you can get some seriously long lashes. And one of the greatest things is that when you go to wash it off it doesn't smudge all over and give you raccoon eyes, the tubes on the end of your lashes just detach themselves.

I'm not sure if they have the waterproof version but I will for sure use it on my wedding day if they do.

FORGET PAYING A BUNCH TO HAVE FAKE LASHES GET THIS STUFF INSTEAD!!!

This is my first inspiration board and if I don't say so my self it's a very nice one!! For those who don't know my colors are Green and yellow but I think I'm going to throw some hot pink in as an accent (probably just with my flowers).

The dress....I LOVE IT!!! I actually saw this dress while in a dress shop with my mom. We were looking for tea-length dresses but when I saw this dress I changed my entire style just because of this dress. And those shoes are so cute i told myself from the beginning that no matter what dress I end up getting I gotta have green shoes and those actually look like I might be able to make them a DIY project ...we'll see.

The green and yellow is kind of a metaphor like my FH and I go together like lemons and limes...very different but very good together.

I had fun making this board everyone should at least make one to reflect their style. Hopefully my outdoorsy kinda casual but classy vibe came through on this one.
