Wedding Cake
Kransekake and Cupcakes!!

Well just wanted to share my "ideas" for our wedding cakeS.

I'm proudly Norwegian (little English but we don't really count that WE"RE VIKINGS!!) I love being Norwegian so I actually got a big tattoo on my back of a Valkerie (which actually is a female viking warrior not just some stupid tom cruise movie).

Because my heritage is so special to my family and I my mom decided she was going to make me a kransekake for the wedding!!!

It's a Norwegian wedding cake and As you can see from the picture there are flags on it and every Norwegian I know puts the flags on EVERYTHING!! Cakes, gifts, Christmas Trees....everything so naturally this norwegian wedding cake's got them all over,

although I will have to hold myself back and not put the flags on it I'm not really sure what I SHOULD put on it for decoration can't put a cake top in it because it's a series of 18 almond based rings and I don't think a topper would stay put. I think of something.

Anyways I call my FH's Cupcake so naturally we have to have wedding cupcakes. The picture included is more on a basis of the setup, We're using green and yellow frosting and going to have a little green cake on the top for cutting No Butterflies or anything like that....

and also over there is the cake topper I LOVE IT!! I had such a hard time finding a top that resembles us as a couple (I'm about 6 foot tall and bleach white and my FH is short and has a way darker compexion than me and we couldn't find any that looked like us) I saw this on www.thatsmytopper.com and thought it was so cute and said more about us than if we found look-alike topper.

Oh my gosh it seems like I'm just overflowing with ideas today!!!

i love the Kransekake!!!!  and YES put flags all over it.  i think it helps explain what it's doing there at the wedding.  

ps...my family (on my Mom's side) is English BUT our family tree goes back to William the Conqueror...so we are from Normandy...whose people were originally from....NORWAY!  :)  so that tiny bit of English in you is probably Norwegian if you go back far enough.  :)  (go Vikings!)

Whooo HOO VIKINGS(not the football team)!!! And your right about the flags and my MorMor (mom's mom in Norwegian) will be so happy to see the true Norwegian in me covering everthing with the flag. not only that but my FH's family is Filipino so I'm sure they won't know what the hell it is so yes on the flags!!
