What are your thoughts on a reception dress?
I am debating if I should get a second dress to wear during the reception. I was thinking a short dress, for dancing... but I'm not sure.

The second dress is gorgeous!!!
Personally, I intend to wear my wedding dress all night long.  I only get to wear it once in my life and I paid a lot for it, so I'm getting my money's worth!  You could always buy a short white dress to wear for your rehearsal or for a shower!

I thought about having two dresses but i agree with emcmenemy if you payed that much money for your dress you might as well get as much use out of it as possible. I am planning to get a really cute dress of the shower, and for the gift opening the day after the wedding

I really like the first one, but I too am just buying one. I t was my big splurge and I don't want to take it off b/c I luv it too much, but if a second dress is what you want you should do it and have fun with it! The cute little dresses you have posted wouldn't even be that much extra money anyways!

I am having a second dress for the reception. Our wedding is in July and it will be VERY hot and I want to feel comfortable all night. So I'm changing into a light chiffon piece. I posted it on my blog if you're curious.

Not having an extra dress for an extra cost. As much as I spent on the first, I'd be poor!! But if you can do it, rock on. But I do like the idea of wearing my dress all day. After all it was THE ONE!!

like everyone else, i love the idea of a second dress, and at one time thought about getting another dress...but i paid toooo much money for the "ceremony" dress and it is so lovely that i want to wear it the whole night.

The second dress is definitely going to depend on the cost of the first. My budget is tight as is, but if I can get a good deal on the first, I think I am going to get a shorter one for later in the night. But who knows, my mind may change when I find my ceremony dress :)
