Rehearsal Dinner Toast/Speech
Amandasoontobemoury :)

Christine, Bryan's sister, had a great idea! She said she went to a wedding recently and at their rehearsal dinner the couple gave a more in depth speech thanking their family since they wouldn't really have the time to do it at the wedding. I though this is a great idea! so this is what I have so far; can you help me proofread it and make sure everything sounds ok? :) I used the help of Amcs's toast for her weddings so thank you girl!

After I say my part about the bridesmaids I'm hoping that Bryan will come up with something about his groomsmen :) We'll see!

I would like to take the time to thank all of our family and friends for sharing this special day with Bryan and me. Some of you have traveled a great distance, and some have come from just from across town to share in this special occasion with us, and we couldn’t be happier. Your presence is truly appreciated and means a lot to the both of us.

We would like to start off with first and foremost thanking our parents; you have molded us into the people we are today. You’ve constantly stuck by us whether or not our choices we’re the correct ones, your ultimate goal was for our success and happiness in the future.

I would like to thank my mom for being my rock through these last 23 years. You’ve been there for me, for all your kids through everything, and we are so lucky to have a strong woman like you in our lives. To my dad, Kurt, who has always pushed me to be a better person, go further, and achieve anything I set my mind to. You’ve taught me life lessons that I will carry on and teach my children. I would like to thank the both of you for the amount of time you have put into the preparation of this wedding, without the both of you this would not be possible. You have taught me that love is both forgiveness and patience, sticking together through the good times, and never giving up through the bad.

To Kim and Doug, I know you had your hands full raising Bryan, but you have influenced and shaped him into the man he is today, this man that I so dearly love. Thank you for welcoming me into your family.

To my family that is here from Wasco, Granny, Papa, Brooks, Erica, Larry, Patty, I’m so glad that you are able to be here, I know you wouldn’t have missed it for the world, but it means so much to me. I’ve always considered Wasco my “home” and so with your presence I get a little piece of being home.

I would like to say a little something about each of my bridesmaids if that’s ok

Hanna, my maid of honor, my little sister, my best friend. You’ve grown up to be such a beautiful young woman. I laugh harder with you than anyone else, and you are one of the only people that knows what to say when I’m sad. I love you very much and I’m so thankful I’ve had you by my side through this whole process. Now when you’re 30 I’ll do the same for you

Christine, our agent, where do I start? I’m so glad you took a chance on your brother’s cheerleader girlfriend. You are such a strong woman and an amazing mom! I’m so grateful that I have such a close relationship with you. I feel like I already gained a sister six years ago. Thank you for always lending a listening ear and always having advice for any situation I’m going through. And also, for helping me find my own assertiveness.

Angela, I’m so glad you are finally here! I’ve been counting down the days, hours and minutes till you arrived! It’s so hard being so far away from you and the rest of the family, but even through that I’m glad we’ve kept our close relationship. I was blessed to be apart of your wedding day and couldn’t be more thrilled that you are here to be apart of mine.

Kelsy, my partner in crime. I’m so thankful for Jamie French; otherwise we wouldn’t have even met! I definitely know I wouldn’t have made it those two years at Central without you. You have such a kind heart and care about everyone. Thanks for putting up with all my whining about missing home, pulling all nighters, and being someone that I could, and still can, always count on.

Ksavera, we ALWAYS have fun together! Whether it’s at work or not, I love that I can always laugh with you. Thank you for befriending me and taking me under your wing when I started at FMG, I was truly lucky to meet and work with someone like you. I’m also so happy for you and Jason, and gummy, I know you will both make wonderful parents and I can’t wait to meet the little one

I saved the best for last, my soon to be husband as of tomorrow evening, Bryan. My dream was to find a man who would understand me no matter what the occasion. A man whose values and personality matches that of my own. I am so happy to finally be getting married to you; you truly mean the world to me. When I look into our future I know that I will be as happy as I am now. Not only have I married someone I love, but I have married my best friend. Bryan, I love you and I cannot wait to spend the rest of my life with you.

Also, we’d like to thank you to Kim and Tom for hosting this at their beautiful home. We both love you so much, thanks for putting up with all of our shenanigans. This is a home that we love to spend time at, and where a lot of our memories have been made.

I would like to raise my glass and toast to everyone for sharing this special occasion with us. Thank you all so much for coming, we wouldn’t be where we are today without you.

I love this. So sweet and right from the heart. I was thinking about how it would be better to do toasts/speeches at the rehearsal dinner because it is a little more personal with just the family and wedding party being there.
