So we left off at the night we will never forget... or remember... LOL
The next morning all of us girls took over one of the local nail salons. Literally, we had every chair filled. :) It felt reallllly good to get a mani pedi after a hard night like that one!
That evening was the rehearsal dinner, our whole bridal party and immediate families came :) We had a blast! and my speech went over tremendously well! I had my mom crying for sure. I was really surprised though because since I was saying something about each BM I asked Bry to say something about each of his groomsmen, and he ended up saying something to his parents as well, in which he started crying! Aw, he was talking about his dad and how much we hope he finds a job back in WA so he can come home from Colorado! It made me cry too!
I wanted to put the speech on here again in case anyone missed it or even wanted to use it for your own, I don't mind. :)
The next episode will be the big one! We'll be getting be married! :) Stay tuned!!!
In the mean time here's the speech:
I would like to take the time to thank you all for sharing our big day with Bryan and me. Some of you have traveled a great distance, and some have come from just from across town to share in this special occasion with us, and we couldnt be happier. Your presence is truly appreciated and means a lot to the both of us.
We would like to start off with first and foremost thanking our parents; you have molded us into the people we are today. Youve constantly stuck by us whether or not our choices were the correct ones, your ultimate goal was for our success and happiness in the future.
I would like to thank my mom for being my rock through these last 23 years. Youve been there for me, for all your kids through everything, and we are so lucky to have a strong woman like you in our lives. To my dad, Kurt, who has always pushed me to be a better person, go further, and achieve anything I set my mind to. Youve taught me life lessons that I will carry on and teach my children. I would like to thank the both of you for the amount of time you have put into the preparation of this wedding, without the both of you this would not be possible. You have taught me that love is both forgiveness and patience, sticking together through the good times, and never giving up through the bad.
To Kim and Doug, I know you had your hands full raising Bryan, but you have influenced and shaped him into the man he is today, this man that I so dearly love. Thank you for welcoming me into your family.
To my family that is here from Wasco, Granny, Papa, Brooks, Erica, Larry, Patty, Im so glad that you are able to be here, I know you wouldnt have missed it for the world, but it means so much to me. Ive always considered Wasco my home and so with your presence I get a little piece of being home.
I would like to say a little something about each of my bridesmaids if thats ok ?
Hanna, my maid of honor, my little sister, my best friend. Youve grown up to be such a beautiful young woman. I laugh harder with you than anyone else, and you are one of the only people that knows what to say when Im sad. I love you very much and Im so thankful Ive had you by my side through this whole process. Now when youre 30 Ill do the same for you ?
Christine, our agent, where do I start? Im so glad you took a chance on your brothers cheerleader girlfriend. You are such a strong woman and an amazing mom! Im so grateful that I have such a close relationship with you. I feel like I already gained a sister six years ago ? Thank you for always lending a listening ear and always having advice for any situation Im going through. And also, for helping me find my own assertiveness.
Angela, Im so glad you are finally here! Ive been counting down the days, hours and minutes till you arrived! Its so hard being so far away from you and the rest of the family, but even through that Im glad weve kept our close relationship. I was blessed to be apart of your wedding day and couldnt be more thrilled that you are here to be apart of mine.
Kelsy, my partner in crime. ? Im so thankful for Jamie French; otherwise we wouldnt have even met! I definitely know I wouldnt have made it those two years at Central without you. You have such a kind heart and care about everyone. Thanks for putting up with all my whining about missing home, pulling all nighters, and being someone that I could, and still can, always count on.
Ksavera, we ALWAYS have fun together! Whether its at work or not, I love that I can always laugh with you. Thank you for befriending me and taking me under your wing when I started at FMG, I was truly lucky to meet and work with someone like you. Im also so happy for you and Jason, and gummy ? I know you will both make wonderful parents and I cant wait to meet the little one ?
Also, wed like to thank you to Kim and Tom for hosting this at their beautiful home. We love you both so much, thanks for putting up with all of our shenanigans. This is a home that we love to spend time at, and where a lot of our memories have been made, this night will go down in the books as one of the best ?
I saved the best for last, my soon to be husband as of tomorrow evening, Bryan.
My dream was to find a man who would understand me no matter what the occasion. A man whose values and personality matches that of my own. I am so happy to finally be getting married to you; you truly mean the world to me. When I look into our future I know that I will still be as happy as I am now. Not only am I marrying someone I love, but Im marrying my best friend. Bryan, I love you and I cannot wait to spend the rest of my life with you.
And with that, I would like to raise my glass and toast to everyone for sharing this special occasion with us. Thank you all so much for coming, we wouldnt be where we are today without you. ?
