The hunt for wedding day shoes have ended. I have been on the hunt for shoes since I found my dress and it has been quite the process. I thought it would be just as easy in finding my dress.
I wanted something comfortable and different without spending a fortune. Whenever I go to the mall I would always drop into shoe stores hoping to find the perfect pair. Sometimes I would find something and they would be super uncomfortable. Sometimes I would find a pair that was comfortable but not exactly what I was looking for. Then I found these babies! They are perfect. They have that vintage feel and they are gold. From day one I always wanted gold shoes and I finally found the pair. How long did it take for you to find the perfect pair? |

So after finalizing the colors for the bridesmaid dresses I was finally able to purchase the bouts that I have had my eye on forever from Etsy.
They came in the mail the other day and I am in love. They perfectly match the color of the bridesmaid dresses. |

Purple - Shopping for Bridesmaid Dresses
Problem; one of my bridesmaids is here for only 4 months of the year and secondly trying to find a dress that the two of them liked was a real challenge. We shopped for 8 hours straight one day trying to find the perfect dress within a reasonable price range and NOTHING. We did the normal bridal boutiques, the outlet malls, online and nothing was coming close to anything we were all going to agree on and I was worried about our time frame.
I thought that it was going to be impossible and then Suzanne saved us. While browsing in Purr she stumbled upon a dark wine purple dress, put it on hold and called me to down to see it. It was the perfect purple dress and we are not looking back. So the primary color has finally changed. . With one of my bridemaids working overseas and with limited time to find a dress before she leaves for 6 months again, we needed to finalize a dress so I could carry on with the planning. I needed to know what colors I had to work with. The dresses were only $90.00 and were a steal of a find. We found them at a local clothing store and they were perfect. I will post photos of their dresses soon!!! But until then I remain a purple bride. |

E-Pictures Preview
The preview or our engagement pictures finally came in from the photographer and I have to say that I am very happy with the outcome. Shooting the pictures was a little nerve wracking as we had pretty terrible weather. It was overcast and windy and at any moment it looked like it was going to pour down. The pro with the weather being so crappy was there wasn't too many people out there so we didn't have to fight the others to get the pictures that we needed.
I am so glad we decided to get engagement pictures because we really needed some practice in loosing up in front of the camera.We were so nervous at the beginning and couldn't be ourselves but by the end we were pros. I can't wait to get the rest back. What do you think and which one is your fav? |

Alternative Guest Book Idea!!!
Love, love, love this guest book idea and it totally fits in with our nature, bird cage and nest idea.
I am a little worried that there might not be enough room for everyone signature but if I leave a note to explain that everyone needs to sign it and to leave a little space it should work. It comes in a shadow box frame that can be mounted onto a wall after. It also has your initials burnt into the wood (see second picture). I might be changing the color scheme of the wedding depending on which bridesmaid dress I like better.
J Crew just released some of the fall line and there is a dress that I am just in love with and it will look great on the girls. Bonus, its cheap and they will for sure be able to wear it again. The second dress is the one I originally wanted to go with. It's the perfect green. Shannon will be going to New York at the end of the month to be trying them both out. |

Found Some Super Cute Finds
After figuring out where exactly my theme for the wedding is going. I was able to find some real awesome stuff on Etsy.
First is the boot that I want the guys to be in. I love the feather and the colors are perfect. Second is jewelery that I would love to either buy for my maids or myself. I love the bracelet and I could get matching necklaces for the girls. Then they have awesome garters that are perfect because you get two handmade garters for less than the price of one at the shops. One to keep and one to throw. Lastly, trying to think of a small gift to give my friend Jenny who is playing guitar at our wedding. Really like the engraved picks. |
