Wedding Day
It's Official....I'm a married woman.
Details...
Thursday before the wedding... I got off work at noon and met up with my BF and gma to get my nails done. Had a bunch of running around to do... FH ended up going out and getting sooo drunk but managed to come home by 10:30 pm. Friday before the wedding (day before)... Had alot of errands to complete. Rehearsal went well. FH acted like a complete jerk cause he was hung over and didn't help me with much of anything. It poured also! My best friend spent the night with me the night before the wedding so she would be on time. We ended up having a couple of drinks and talked about the good ol' single days! lol The morning of... Me and Jen (BF) ate at McDonalds..lol before meeting up with the other BM at the salon. My appt was at 8am and before I knew it, it was 9:30 so I sent the bridesmaids over to the country club to start laying my dress and stuff out for the photographer. That's when I started getting nervous. Sitting there in the chair at the salon ALL by myself. When the stylist put the veil on I thought I was going to puke. lol I didn't get to the venue until 10:45....15 mins before I walked. When I pulled up guests saw me run into the country club and FH and everyone else was outside also. Oh well....I ran into the dressing room and threw on my dress, shoes and jewelry. Didn't have time for pictures or anything. I was so rushed that I forgot my bouquet and one of the BM went and got it. The entire walk I had butterflys in my stomach. You can tell in a couple of the pictures that I was just not happy. lol. We had to walk up a flight of stairs OUTSIDE. We came in from off of the 2nd story deck at our venue. It was beautiful outside but still... Then the long line of bridal party members dissapered and it was time to walk in. I was sooo nervous. The first thing I saw was the petals that our daughters had dropped. They started out in a straight line but then curved off to the left and it made me smile. The ceremony went quick. Maybe 10 mins tops. I made sure I pronounced every work correctly. FH jokes me all the time cause I'm such a clutz with words. MIL couldn't get her unity candle lighter to work. lol and our 4 year old announced that she had to go to the potty. The ceremony was awesome. My favorite part was our recessional song was a classical version of Fall Out Boy's Sugar, We're Going Down. Between the ceremony and the reception we had 30 mins. Because my pastor didn't want any photos taken during the ceremony..I didn't get ANY photos. Everyone scattered after the ceremony and I said the hell with it. I got photos with the pastor and a couple others but that was it. FH got on my nerves cause he wanted to change out of his suit. Didn't really realize I married such a redneck! But oh well, I made him stay in it until after we ate. Our intro went well. The bridal party was introduced to some random song the DJ played but we were intro'd to Blind by Korn. The DJ mellowed it out so it wasn't so heavy and harsh. Our first dance sucked. we did it high school style. We tried but oh well. Food was ok. Didn't really eat much. Before I knew it we were cutting cake and doing the toasts. I danced to maybe 5 or 6 songs. Because it was such a early day for most people started leaving at 2:30 even though we had the venue until 4pm. Didn't really see husband at that point. He was outside smoking with all of our "smoking" guests. lol. Overall it was a good day. I wish things had of gone diffrent but most of all I'm just glad that it is ALL over! I don't have my pro pics yet. The ones that look pro are from my DJ. I'll post them when I get them. : ) |

Boudior
I got my photos back yesturday and I LOVE THEM. Not bad for a plus size gal! I had alot of fun.
I got up that Saturday at 7am after yet another long night of school. I took my shower, blowed dryed my hair and spent an hour flat ironing it. Then came the makeup. So I applied black eyeliner then black and gray eye shadows and then another layer of liner and shadows. I felt like a french hooker, lol. Both the photographer and my friend told me to put it on thick. lol. Ok... so the good part. I was soo nervous the hour before I had to leave and on the drive over I almost chicken'd out. But when I pulled in front of her house she had a sexy black framed mirror with a hot pink bow hanging from her door saying "welcome Amber". I felt soo much better. Rachelle greeted me and took me inside her home. To the right she transformed her family room into a studio with different backgrounds. To the left was her dinning room where she had a rack full of shoes and accessories. On her dinning room table she had out samples of her work which just blew me away. She explained to me how she uses lights to really work for a person. She helped me layout my 3 outfits and place them on hangers. Ok. So my first outfit was hot pink with black accents. I was nervous as hell. She posed me in about a million diffrent ways and eventually I got the hang of it. Chin down, look at the camera, smile, do a sexy look.. etc. My secound outfit was this long black nightgown which looks more like an evening gown. It has rhinestone straps that criss cross in the back. That one was a little more fun because I was worried about my bum showing so much. My last outfit was amazing. It is my bridal outfit. White corset and these adorable white ruffle panties. I wore these cute pearl necklaces and rhinestone bracelets along with my pearl earrings. oh and my bridal heels with my "something blue". This was the most fun set. By then I was a "pro" and just started posing on my own. lol. She got some cute shots of my shoes with the L's on them. She had music going during the entire shoot and just then a song from my favorite movie came on, Click Flash by Ciara from the Sex and The City when Carrie is doing the bridal photo shoot for the Vogue magazine. PERFECT. I got a little more sassy then and wasn't ready to stop posing. lol. So anyhow, I had an amazing time and after all that didn't mind walking around in underware and heels in front of a woman who has a perfect body. lol. I'm glad that I did it. Something that I will never forget. I've always been self-concious about my body. Even though I did this as a present for my FH it was a gift for me as well. To celebrate me, cause after all I am pretty amazing. Rachelle was awesome. She is the cutest 30 something woman I've ever met. She was so down to earth and just made me feel beautiful. She kept telling me how good I was doing and how she loved my expressions that I made on my own. She was more excited than me at times. But I guess she saw something that I didn't. She told me that she never shows the pictures before she is "done" with them but she showed me one of mine and it took my breath away. IHer website is www.elleboudior.com she is awesome to work with. She is moving the end of summer which is a bummer cause I would love to do some more shoots with her. Anyhow I love my pictures. These are the first 5 she sent me. Can't wait to see the rest. |

Boudoir
Thank you fellow WBC brides for your blog posts abour Boudoir photography. It has really opened my eyes to something completely new...accepting my own body. My FH has loved my body through all of it's loses and gains. At first I thought that I would try real hard to loose some weight by Valentines day and then do it but... let's be honest, who knows what shape my body will be in then. Heck I might be pregnant by then (again). So I am super excited to do this for my groom. I plan on giving it to him on our wedding day.
He knows about it. We can't keep secrets or suprise gifts from one another. So December ends up being the month of Christmas presents. Ok, back to business. Oh yeah, Adam already knows about it and said "You don't have to, but I won't be mad if you did". lol. he is so silly. He is always trying to take pictures of me. But now he will have some really good ones. For all the Chesapeake, Virginia brides, www.elleboudoir.com is who I am going through. UPDATE*** I ordered my outfits from www.hipsandcurves.com. I get them on Monday. The white one will be what I wear under my gown. Yeah. Just one more thing off of my list. |
