This is ambreigh's Purple Wedding!

So the past couple of weeks have been hectic to say the least and didn't give me any time to really get on here and post. But, I felt I needed to share the pics etc of the things we had at our wedding. Hope y'all enjoy the pics!!!!!! Let me know what y'all think ;)

Of course, things didn't go as I completely had originally planned out, and there was drama and there were several dozen things go wrong that final week. I think all brides experience that to some degree. I'll share more when I get the chance.

So..aside from the fact I have a pic of me in my dress and one of the bridesmaides in hers .. it will basically look something like this. The only difference is that the MOH who will no doubt be standing right beside me will be wearing a pink wrap instead of the pink sash. And, oh yeah .....................we'll all have bodies and heads..hahahahahaha But this is what it looks like YAY!!! I'm so glad it looked so great together!!!!!

The first pic is the Groom's tux. The second pic is of the tux the dad's and the officient will be wearing. The third tux is the Groomsmen. And the 4th tux is the ushers. The ringbearer tux isn't pictured yet but is basic black with a white shirt and black tie (not a bow tie) and will have a purple hankie in the pocket.

My sister went with us to the park and took a lot of AMAZING photos of us but these so far are our favorites. We are going with the main one for the invitations. I'm still deciding which one will go in the program and which will go on the guest table.

I know for sure the flowergirl dress will be ONE of these! And, the last photo I have posted will be the look we're going for..with the purple sash to match the bridesmaides. It's a little different ..but still sweet and ties everything in together :P

We're going to get married at our 'home' church. It's the largest one in our town. And, we're thrilled to get married there. I have pictures on my camera of the inside but haven't uploaded them yet. I'll do that soon to get this updated. Currently here are some of the ideas I love for how to do the church on the inside. I don't want too much white (it'll take away from me hahahahahaha). I don't want too many flowers that it makes it look like a florist blew-up. And, I don't want it to be too overwhelming with the decor that it takes away from the natural beauty of the church or the wedding itself. But, these are some of the ideas (economical too) that I am strongly considering!

I still want to encorporate candles tied with ribbon somewhere..but still haven't found room in the budget to do so yet. We're going with a Texas-themed reception. So, the boots are something we've definately considered. The third picture is a diy sign and I think I'm going to make something similar so that guests at the reception and after party know which rooms are which. The basket in the 4th picture is similar to what I'm going to do. My finace's ex wife had two large tin buckets that were those candles that you use to get rid of misquitos (can't remember the name but you know what I'm talking about). We're going to melt out the wax and clean them up and polish them and then line them with material, ribbon and flowers to make them look similar to the 4th pic. The 5th pic is all the ribbon I've bought laid out next to the sample of purple that we know for sure is our color of purple for the bridesmaid dresses. The 6th pic is the centerpieces we're going with. The 7th pic is a collage of all the flowers we have -just gotta diy and put them together. And the last pic is from one of my best friend's weddings when she got married in December. Simple yet cute. They used regular cowboy boots and just placed random flowers in them. My son recieved 5 different pairs for his birthday and has already granted us permission to use them for decoration..yay!!!

This is the cake design we're going with. Hard to tell by the picture but it has words such as devotion, hope, faith, love, peace, etc on the sides of it in the icing. We won't use this type of flower but will go with more of the overall theme for ours..lots of pinks and purples and pink daisies. yay!! WE will DEFINATELY use the votives spread all around. Some of the other pictures are items my sister is letting us have ..cake topper, knife set etc. Then the last photo is of the letters HOW SWEET IT IS that we'll have going along the table infront of the cake.

The first pic is of what we were originally going to go with. Then, we had trouble finding a great deal price wise to remain within budget. So, we decided to purchase a diy kit from Hobby Lobby and we're printing them ourselves. The second picture is the picture that is being sent along with the invitations. Our E-PIC..yay!!! I think it turned out fabulous and it makes it more 'us' ..haha.. because it is!! lol!

I know that we want roses and lots of pink ones. Probably different shades of pinks. The bridesmaids' bouquets are going to be more round and mine will be a traditional cascading bouquet with lots of sprays in it. Over the top for my over the top wedding haha And, the only white flowers I know for sure that I'm going to use is stephanotis. I love those things. We'll probably put little pins of purple ribbon in the bouquet as well as the purple butterflies and maybe tie a ribbon around the bouquet holder. We're going with silk because I ran out of time getting things worked out with the florist and just would feel better doing it myself. ha

I ordered my dress from a bridal shop. It's a discontinued PC MARY'S dress (which I've been in love with her designs for awhile now). I wanted ivory instead of white but overall it works well with the colors we chose for the wedding. The pics are of the dress. IT's faux 2pc with sheer sleeves. My mother altered the shoulders and made it more snug so that I don't appear to be a Linebacker. haha And, we decided not to alter the train (having it bustled) because I'm going to be wearing something different for reception and after-party anyway!

I have 9 attendants if you count the flowergirls!! 7 of them are my bridesmaides and they'll be wearing this color ..Regency Purple from David's Bridal in style # 81026. They all voted and the dresses are already coming in slowly but surely and look GORGEOUS. I'm so very pleased I went with that style and color. The MOH will wear a pink wrap and 4 of the bridesmaides will wear the pink sash as pictured. And, the other 2 will wear small pink bows pinned to their bodice. The purple butterflies will be placed in their boquets and in their hair.
