Ask a Question
Is it bad to find your dress the first time you go shopping?

So last night was the first time I have gone to try dresses on, and it was a SUCCESS!
I found 2 that I love, and they are unreal prices. On sale for half price, $500 dollars! But there is only one left, so I have to think fast.
Is it too soon to find THE dress? I've only been to one store, and tried dresses on once. I did try on a million dresses last night though.
Should I look around, and not make such a quick decision? Or should I go with my gut?
Howeverrrr....my gut is swaying both ways. It's saying this is THE one, and it's also saying, are we rushing this???
I've attached two pics, very similar, same designer.
Let me know which one you like best!
One is on sale, and the other is not.

I love fresa. I tried that dress on, but ultimately went with something else. I bet you look great in both though!

The flower in the middle of the bust area seems awkward to me, but both dresses are beautiful. I found my dress the first time I went shopping. I did extensive research online and I knew what dress fit my body type. If you tried on different styles of dresses and you can't stop thinking about it...then choose that one. $500 is a steal too.

I agree with the other girls, I love the ruffles at the bottom and the style of the dress. I think it screams destination. However the flower is just awkward and doesn't look right on the dress. I'm sure you can have it removed though. This is really tricky, are you buying the dress because you love it? or because it's half off? Would you buy it if it were $1000 instead of $500? If so then it's probably THE dress. I only tried on 3 dresses before finding mine. I kept seeing it everywhere (in magazines and tv shows) I put it on and instantly felt like a Bride. If your gut is telling you it's THE dress then it probably is, I would wait 3 full days before making the choice though!

I found my dress 2 weeks after I got engaged and I think I probably tried on 3 dresses and knew it was the one. I also searched before hand and knew the style that i wanted, so no, i don't think it's too soon, just be sure of your choice!  I always tell all my friends to go with thier gut feeling, it's always right!

They are beautiful. I bought my dress 3 days after getting engaged. I love my dress but I didnt try on a big ball gown and now regretting my decision a little. But I still love my dress.

My advice Would be if you have tried on lots of different dresses and sure that is the style you want and it feels like the dress then go for it!

Honestly when you find THE dress there will be no question in your mind and this is coming from a girl that bought 2 dresses.  The 1st time around I didn't really really think it was the one but I bought it anyway only to find another one that I fell in love with and had zero doubt in my mind.  So I would suggest you keep looking you'll know when it's the one you won't leave the store without it and feel no doubt about it.  Good luck!! p.s. Both dresses are gorg!!!

Not at all! I only tried on three dresses, bought one of them, and even though I've looked at hundreds of others online I've never found one that suits me as much as the one I chose :)

I agree with everyone else that they're both lovely but that bust-flower is just weird and distracting.

I found my dress the first time I went shopping! I see nothing wrong with it. Like others have said, once you find 'the' dress, there should be no questions! :)
