My FI and I were talking the other day, and he mentioned he wanted an ice cream cake wedding cake. I don't really like the idea of having one because it will be too much maintenance and we will only be able to bring it right before we cut it, otherwise it will melt. Plus one of our good friends' mom's (he is one of the groomsmen), makes cakes and we've already asked her to make ours. So we decided no ice cream cake. But my FI really loves ice cream cakes, so I was thinking of ordering a small one and surprising him. What do you think? I know a lot of brides on here are from the US and have grooms cakes, but in Canada normally you just have a wedding cake.
**Our reception is indoors, so it won't melt as quickly.
Best of luck!
