Wine Labels
Hey Ladies,
These are the wine labels I am going to print out and wrap around the wine bottles. I think I will print them onto white cardstock, and then glue them to the front of the bottle, and then wrap a thick piece of black ribbon around the bottle and glue underneath the label. There will be one bottle of wine on each of the 13 tables. I had bought a pack of wine labels from the BRIDES line at Michaels, but they were perforated weird and I ended up ripping a few of them. So I decided to create my own. They have the same design that is on the invitations and other stationery that I have made. What do you think? **UPDATE** Unfortunately I won't be able to use the wine labels because I realized that the wine on each table will be in a pitcher and not a bottle :( |

2nd Fitting Was Today...Pics!!
Hey Ladies!
I had my 2nd dress fitting today! My alterations lady did an amazing job on my dress, I am very happy! They are now going to have it cleaned and steamed, and I will pick it up 3 days before the wedding. I also tried on my shoes and veil with it, and everything looks great. I didn't get a great shot of my shoes though. My mom was taking photos with my camera for me, and I forgot to ask her to get a picture of my shoes with the dress. Sorry the pictures have a blue tone to them. The alterations place was very bright from the sun shining in, and I forgot to change the light setting on my camera. I am so happy with how well things are coming together. My dress alterations are done, I mailed out invitations. My FH and I also decided to cancel our mini-moon since we just bought a condo. We can't justify spending $800 anymore for a mini-moon when we just bought a house. I keep looking at the photos of the dress and I don't think I am very happy with how they altered the built in corset (or boning). There is a lump there and it looks really unflattering. My mom pointed it out, and the alterations lady said there was nothing she could do because it's the way the designer manufactures the dress. But they have to be able to do something about it! I'm going to call monday morning, and see if I can go back in Monday night and try it on again. I bought spanx today to go underneath it to see if that will make a difference of the weird ending of the built in corset. Anyone else think that part doesn't look so good? I was looking at photos of my first fitting before she moved the corset up. And it was doing something similar but not nearly as bad as the way it looks now. I'm happy with the rest of the alterations she did, but this part I am not happy with. |

Wedding Invitation
Invitations Mailed!
I finally mailed my invitations tonight! They have been sitting on my table ready to be mailed for the past two weeks. I'm so glad they are finally out. Now I play the waiting game for RSVP's. I had the lady at the post office hand cancel my invites, so they don't get all mucky by the machine. So guests should start receiving them tuesday or wednesday!!
I'm also going for my 2nd dress fitting tomorrow at 10am. My mom is coming with me, so I will be sure to post pics! |

NWR: Condo Update
WE BOUGHT IT!!
For the ladies who follow my blog, I just wanted to give you an update about my posting the other day. On tuesday evening we put an offer on a condo, the offer wasn't submitted til wednesday morning to the seller, and this afternoon, our real estate agent called me at work to tell me they had rejected our offer. So we signed it back with a higher offer, and they counter offered, and then we submitted our last and final offer, and they accepted!! It is conditional on financing, but we were already pre-approved for the mortgage, we just need to get approved for mortgage default insurance. And I just confirmation half hour ago that we are approved for the mortgage default insurance, so the condo is ours!! Whoo hoo!! Closing date is...wait for it.....the day before our wedding!! Lol. Oh well, looks like we won't be moving til after the wedding. We have also decided we will not be taking a honeymoon because we just bought a house. Unfortunately now we don't have the extra money to take our mini-moon. So since I have already booked the week following the wedding off of work, we will be moving that week. I'm so excited, I can't wait!!

Wedding Shower
My first shower was yesterday!
Hey Ladies!
I had my first wedding shower yesterday. It was great, I had a really nice time. My FH's mom, aunt and grandma put it on for me. We played a few games, my FH's family embarassed me as usual, lol. We got lots of beautiful things! A few things from our gift registry. One thing in particular that I really really wanted from our registry was a new comforter, and Mark's aunt got it for us with the matching sheets! We got tons of things, and my FH won't let me unpack it because we're moving in 2 months, and he says they are "all in nice neat boxes". Lol, so we won't get to use much of it until we move. My FH's mom bought me lingerie!! Ahh, lol! It was funny, and FH's family made me hold it up and pretend to model it, lol, I was soo embarassed. We played the purse game...they had a list of things, and for every item you had in your purse you got one point...whoever had the most points won. FH's aunt stole my purse and put a mini bottle of Bailey's and a condom in my purse!! So when they yelled "condom", everyone was asking if I had one in my purse, and I said no because I knew there wasn't. And then FH's aunt kept asking, and I found the one she put in there. It was a little embarassing because my mom and grandma were there, and my mom says "Glad you are being safe!" Lol. It was fun, I had a great time. Now I have to get to writing my thank you cards! Adding to that, we are looking at purchasing a house! We looked at two today, and hopefully going tomorrow to look at a few more. I'm so excited!! :) |
