The Things I Know I Don't Want
I still don't know exactly what I want- but I probably want to do away with traditional. Thing things I know I will not want:
1. most likely not a white dress 2. The Veil 3. Thow my Bouquet 4. The removal of my garter (Gross)- it's like formal forplay 5. The Dance Reception 6. No Flower Girl- Cute- but no kids 7. No Little Bride- adorable- but no kids 8. No Ring Boy- cute- but no kids 9. No kids at my wedding period. 10. No 3 bridesmaids & 3 groomsmen. I just want A Bestman & a Man on Honor 11. No alcohol 12. A morning wedding 13. An out door wedding 14. a semi formal or casual wedding 15. Short dresses ( for me & if i have a bridesmaid) 16. No one to wear my "color" for the day ( I know it won't happen) 17. Most importantly *NO BACHELOR PARTY* 18. A big wedding I JUST DON'T KNOW WHAT TO DO. I don't want it to be boring. I want this to be fun & different. Yes, I am aware that to most people this doesn't sound possible without alcohol or dancing- but it's not my thing. I'm so difficult I don't understand myself =/. I want ideas from everyone if you thing you have a good idea, a bad idea or a crazy idea, I wan t to hear it all. Oh & I *LOVE* the idea of traditions or inspirations from other cultures. |

Wedding Dress
I can't pick only one dress. I can't pick a color. & suprise- I can't pick a style either.
Snipets of what I like: a dress you can wear long gloves with ( I haven't decided I would wear gloves- but doing so means I can't whore off my ring =( ) I look good in halter I like off the shoulders I like renaissance insired Dresses with the Big open bell sleeves. I like the satin Chinese Gowns- but with a plunge front- but I don't think I want to pass up the chance to wear a big flashy gown for this although it would most likely bit fitting to the theme I like Lolita Style Dresses ( but long) I love SATIN I love Crystals I love Corsets I like Chiffon & Organza ( note: There is a very high chance I may have these materials confused with a different type) I like big flashy show topping dresses -yes big poufy Barbie Ball Gowns- Slim figure hugging dresses are nicebut I'm sure I will have another opportunity to don one. I also like A line dresses. I really like the styles that divide at the hips or at the waist- I don't know what it's called- but not just a colored sash thrown on top of a dress. -I'm not sure where I stand on this but trains- I don't think I like them ( & they seem like a pain in the ass dragging it all over the place). Is there any purpose or silly meaning behind it? I don't like: Exposed/ Open back/ Low Back. I think they look beautiful but it would e too uncomfortable for me. I don't want to go braless, I'm not up for pasty bras -both of which will leave me feeling rather self conscious & uncomfortable & as for strapless bras - they don't work too well for me no bra does actually). It's a shame because I think dresses with an open back look stunning & beautiful but I want to enjoy my wedding. Strapless. Strapless Gowns can look great or not so great but my main reasons for not considering a strapless dress were stated above. Short Dresses- not for a wedding- especially not for my wedding. Mermaid Dresses: I think as figure flattering as they are they look elegantly tacky. Veils- I am not a sacred Twinkie to be unwrapped I do not need to be packaged like a product ( or for preservation). If i have a veil I will throw that in lieu of my bouquet at the wedding reception. Acessories: Shoes- I think heels look beautiful & unfortunately I don't even own one real pair of heals ( pathetic at my age- I also don't have anything to wear them with). However- should I suck it up & learn to walk with them for my wedding? - I would but is it worth being uncomfortable? I will have a long dress-so I know it won't show & that being the case it wouldn't matter too much what I wear underneath. But anyways in the very likely event I do wear heals I have not the lightest clue what i like. I don't like the pointy front- that's all I know. Head Gear: I'm thinking a Tiara.....I'd so kill to do a crown- but I think that would be too much - my tacky unconventionalism is going to have guests gasping as is. Earrings: ? Something Long & Dangly Necklace: Hopefully the dress will allow me to wear a choker than sits arounf the base of the neck or one just like that that leads a bit lower in more of a V shape. Rings: My Wedding Ring & my Promise ring Purse: ....A clutch won't work for me- I'm sure to spend my entire wedding losing it or searching for it. & for that matter most cute formal little bags I've seen are way too small- yes I know I have to carry around only essentials- but I need something a but bigger & who goes around carrying your purse at your wedding anyways? Also- No pearls anywhere or on anything- I hate pearls. |

Wedding Cake
Ok, Iooove cake & I think it should be a food group in it's self :))
As much as I want the cake of my dreams I think maybe I shouldn't splurge so much on paying for the most beautiful cake I've ever seen. Also, pretty as it may be I'm not a huge fan of the taste of rolled fondant icing. But since I'm not special enough to ever get my own store bought birthday cake ( let alone a gourmet cake) I definently want to splurge on this being the best tasting-if not most original tasting cake I've ever had in my life. I've heard that chefs can make you a custom masterpiece of your dreams & custom create a flavor for you. Let's say your favorite candy is Sugar Babies- there you go! A Sugar Babies flavored cake. My cake must be pretty- it just doesn't have to be show stopping. Should my financial fortune change I am SO pimpin' out my cake like no cake you have ever seen before! I've come to realize picking out how my cake looks will either be really simple or really hard I think they all look pretty ( except those non symetrical colorful modern cakes). Can some one tell me what's a groom's cake, when did the tradition start & what's it's purpose. Thanks. I've been to a few weddings as a kid & there was never a groom's cake. Also I think it's kinda a waste of money- but the more cake the merrier :)) Cake Flavor Ideas: Cheesecake Vanilla / French Vanilla/ Yellow & all similar flavors with layers of extra sweet frosting & filling Vanilla Marshmallow Strawberry Cheesecake Guava Cheesecake Strawberry Guava Cheesecake Passion Fruit Jelly filling Guava Passion Fruit filling Orange Cake- it doesn't sound too great-but go to Winn Dixie & try it Lemon Cake Lemon Cheesecake Lemon Cream Cheese Mango Orange Cake Passion Fruit Cake ( if it would taste like Orange Cake- I would die, but most likely I wouldn't take the chance- this would probably taste amazing or amazingly bad) Cotton Candy :D -Jaw Breaker flavored would be cool but most likely impossible to capture Marshmallow Cheesecake Coconut Cake ( as much as I will enojoy this I know most people to do not like coconut.....oh well, most people know what food I don't like & everytime there is a get together I have to swallow out of courtesy the edible turds everyone else finds delectible- so shove it- my cake my cake more for me :)) Cake Decorations: ??? other than flowers I have not a clue what I'd want to get If my wedding ends up being asian themed a dragon going around the cake would look bad ass - but not pretty =(. -or a Tiered Pac Man Cake would be AWESOME! .....but no. I hate the bride & groom wedding topper I think they look so ugly & tacky. I'd love something pretty with Hearts, Bells, Stars, Birds, or Dolphins. I'd do wolves, but that would probably just look scary. It be cool to have some really different & unsual ideas for the cake topper or for the over all cake appearance. I really dislike the modern colorful irregular shaped fashion cakes that look like they are the product of Hostess & Crayola giving birth. |

Wedding Rings And Jewelry
The colored stones I like are as follows:
1. Blue Diamond 2. Blue Zircon 3. London Blue Topaz 4. Possibly Swiss Blue Topaz or Possibly Tanzanite 5. Ceylon Sapphire 6. Pink Diamond 7. Pink Topaz And of course a colorless Diamond - I just don't know where to place it, but definently not on top. The stone cuts I like are: 1. Heart 2. Ascher 3. Trapezoid & Baguette & Cresant Moon( as a side accent only) 4. Princess Cut 5. Emerald Cut 6. Possibly Oval Cut 7. Star cut would be awesome- but you just don't see it any where. Metal: I like Platinum ( only with a warranty it scuffs nasty!) or White Gold Style: I don't like plain solitaires - I do like a solitaire with a tapered baguette diamond on each side. I. I like Three Stone styles a lot. I especially like it when the center stone is larger than the two on the sides. I *hate* mile high settings whoring off the stone.- I don't really care for this style with colored stones. I've also envisioned an Asher center stone hugged by two tapered baguettes. or an Oval center stone hugged by two cresant moon diamonds on a channel set diamond band. I also like a large center stone & round diamond encasing it as well as round diamonds embedded on two thin tapered band oon each side of the ring. - I'd like a style like this with a colored center stone. I'll post pictures up eventually. Oh & over all I don't think I'd want the largest stone to hit a full carat- i think 3/4 carat might be just right- but it depends on the stone cut & ring style. For Him: I don't like diamonds on a men's band & thankfully he doesn't either. We both have similar tastes. A relatively plain band in Tungsten, Titanium, or White Gold. A simple design would work be best. I'm also just difficult. I want a wedding band, but I don't want a wedding band. I want to look like I'm married, but I ***HATE*** how it looks wearing two rings. If I'm only to wear one I'd prefer to wear the "Engagement Ring" as my wedding ring. In my opinion, three stone rings with a band look ridiculously stupid. & with the exception of the "jacket" or "insert" I jsut don't like the way they look. Rings with an insert just look "incomplete" to me, as is you couldn't afford to buy the whole ring at first & then went & bought the rest of the ring later. Also, wearing two rings n the same finger seem annoying & uncomfortable & I think soldering them is just as stupid as my theory about the "incomplete ring" |

Colors
I'm just joting down random ideas so I don't forget them- I'm not crazy I swear- just a bit eccentric & tacky :) If you have any ideas to add to any list I've created please feel free to add.
Does any one have any ideas for what could be done at a wedding reception for entertainment. I don't dance, so that's out of the question & I've been to wedding receptions where there isn't a dance & you just go around talking to people &.......it's really boring. I don't want a boring wedding & it's going to be a small wedding. I haven' t decided on a color either, I just change it when I get bored of looking at the same color day after day. I do know that I do not want want. The colors I am leaning towards are as follows: 1. Black 2. Black & Red 3. Black & Teal 4. Teal 5. Olive Green 6. Red 7. Rose Pink 8. Pastel Rainbow :) I'm often told the very few times I do wear white that I look fantastic in white. However pretty it looks on brides it's not me. Here's a random article I found about non virgin brides wearing white to their weddings. I found this to be hilarious. I didn't get to read all of the comments, but read #16 & #50. Those two are my favorites. My main issue with the colors is this- I definently want a themed wedding ( which is most likely going to be asian themed as I doubt my fiancee would go with "Princess themed") - finding a way for my dress to not look so conflicting with the wedding decor. I'd love to wear a Satin Asian styled dress- but I want to wear the regular big flashy dress too & 2 dresses isn't an option. I also like many styles that would look bad with the theme. |
