How much are you spending on your invitations??
When I started planning my wedding, I was very excited about making many things by myself, but as the date approaches I see that it is not as easy and fast as I thought!!!!!

I’m still very excited about that but now I’m trying to be more realistic about the time and the costs of making them myself. I already bought some red and ivory paper, and I’ve made 4 different projects that I love!!!

Here are some inspiration ideas that I’ve found in many sites and some of your blogs.

¿How much are you spending on your selfmade invitations?
I only need 100.

we've spent $150 for 100 invitations.  They were big and required extra postage which was $1.00 each.  We decided to drive and drop off some to cut costs.

Plus, we took our picture via cell phone and sent it in and we got our picture on the invitations so that's like a keep sake anyway too.

that sounds about right...

WAY cheaper to DIY and much more personal, imo!

We didn't do as many and will be sending announcements, but spent very little on it compared with the prices I have seen others paying.

Things to consider:

Depends on the material you use, also...satin ribbon vs. hand dyed silk ribbon vs. coloured bits of hay...

Using a stamp that you will use on other items in future for your pattern? Perhaps you will scrapbook and use it again for your wedding album?

What sort of card are you going to go with, plain, textured, handcrafted?

Be sure to sort out the sizing of your cards before you commit to buying a bunch of thing because you can only get so many out of a 12x12 card and well, if you have to buy  envelopes you don't want anything too massive (extra costs involved with sending)...

Can any of the left over bits be used for the RSVP?

Will you have a printer print the text or are you a photoshop whiz?etc

Good luck:)
