Hey guys,
Saturday September 1st marked our one year wedding anniversary!
Everything was beautiful! The ceremony, reception , and dance! We had the best BBQ, TEXAS style, Mariachis, everything went so well. I'm so glad! Armando cried the whole time I walked down the aisle, he made everyone else cry. For our first dance we use Clint Black & Lisa Hartman "When I said I do" the perfect anniversary song, and all the little kids blew bubbles , and they flew all around us! It was perfect!
My bestfriends mother & aunt surprised us with a honeymoon suite, it was beautiful! I would not of changed anything !

I'm in the process of making a DVD with the story of how Armando & I came to be. My DVD will be played at the reception, and it pretty much has the story of us in photos and in music. It starts out with my maternal grandma at the age of 5, my maternal grandpa in the army, to when they met, fell in love, married, had children, my mom(as a child), when she married my dad, to ME as a child, in school, at graduation, and the same for Armando and his family, It has pictures of us dating and finally married. The reason is.. I want to show the uniting of both families, us as husband and wife, and how me & armando will continue to keep our families going. It may sound stupid but family is very important to us, and we want to show others just that.

I want the romantic, princess look. I'm ot going for your tradtional up-do. I want my hair down with either curls or waves. I'm wearing a tiara and vail so I need a style that will keep them in my hair. My make-up artist is a friend of mine who used to work for M-A-C cosmetics, but now is an independent make-up artist. She's sooo bad-ass, she does the make-up for our local arena football team, the "AUSTIN WRANGLERS" cheerleaders! Yep, she's that good. You'll just have to see for yourself when I post my wedding pictures up!

No her dress isn't white, it an off-white color! In the Mexican tradition your Maid of Honor wears ivory or off white for good luck in your marriage to come. Raquel is my main MOH, she & I are like sisters, but she's my cousin. My other MOH Monica is the mother of my godchildren. Her dress is Chocolate brown, but more of a ball gown. It's really pretty. Ok, so after long deliberation, I finally came to a decision on what my bridesmaids were going to wear. I would hate for them to spend $250 plus on a dress that they were only going to be able to wear once, so after some searching I came across a website that had bridesmaid dresses that were VERY cute and inexpensive. My girls only spent $53.00 including shipping on their dresses! Bad ass huh? I have my bridesmaid's wearing chocolate brown, Jr. bridesmaids wearing pink, and flowergirls wearing white. I think it's all coming together nicely! Take a peak at the pics to the side, these are the actual dresses.

I bought my wedding dress at David's Bridal uh... about 2 weeks after our engagement. I had one other dress picked out before I found "the dress". My mom and I drove about an hour to SanAntonio to see what we could find. As soon as I walked in I felt ovewhelmed and discouraged about trying on gowns. After a few minutes Celia the girl who helped me brought over this dress. I knew I was going to like this dress. It fit great (which is always a good sign), and when I stepped out of the dressing room everyone made that gasping sound and you hear "OMG that's the one!!!" I knew I found the perfect dress. I'm a big girl, and me and white don't look good together, but this dress makes me look awesome. It's a satin gown with a strapless corset style bust with swarovski crystals and silver / rum colored embroidery, and has a chapel length train with the same decor. I love my gown. I will definitely post pictures and soon as I can.

I married the love of my life September 1st 2006. We are reaffirming our vows on our 1 year anniversary. I'm soo excited! We wanted to include our extended families, and friends in on the celebration. We were engaged in April 2006 and were married 5 months later. We couldnt wait! So far this marriage has been great, a true blessing! I cant wait to add another year and hopefully a baby Acosta into the near future! :)
