This is amknight87's Pink Wedding!

We went to the florists on Wednesday and he gave us a quote. Yall ready for this? almost 6000 dollars. I know, we need to shop around to additional florists. Atleast now I know exactly how I want the wedding to be decorated. Im re using all my bridesmaids flowers for my centerpieces lol. I am lining the vases with sliced lemons,limes and pink grapefruit and then putting our tiger lily and rose bouquets in them. But I could make that a DIY project! lol That would shave off alot! Any suggestions on floral money saving?

Okay so Im going half crazy trying to figure out the pricing for chair rentals and tent rentals. I dont want to go into the places yet, I want a round about figure that I can compare with the rental companies. Has anyone rented chairs for there wedding or a tent? If so, How much did you end up spending? Help!

So my fiance is Jamaican and he is definitly serious about us going to Jamaica. No Joke lol. We are having half american and half jamaican food at the reception. The traditional wedding food is curried goat or curry goat (not too sure how to explain that) but we are having it! And jerk chicken too (the only jamaican food i know lol) If anybody knows of any good places to go in jamaica (We r looking for a resort) or any jamaican caterers in TN tell me pleaseeee

So I decided I wanted pink from the beginning but I was struggling with the second color. Chris came up with yellow. I am so in love with tiger lillies. So I think I will have yellow and pink tiger lillies as my bouquet. I am so excited about this wedding. Everyone thinks Im crazy because Im planning so soon but I would marry Chris tomorrow if I COULD.

My first blog on here, Chris proposed 6 days ago!! *screams* lol, we have been dating for 9 months so far. We've known each other since we were atleast 13.
Ill give a play by play of the proposal date.

Well, today was one of the craziest, happiest and by far greatest days of my life.

Ill start from the beginning, I went to Memphis to go to my dads church since I am off on Sundays FINALLY. So I go to church and notice my mama is acting EXTRA funny, shes staring at me, asking if Im okay and all this and that..Im like yea....So after service my ma comes up to me and is like "We are going to Chris (my then boyfriend but now FIANCE) church for a pot luck." Im kinda confused because A. Chris told me nothing about this and B. Since when does my mom know something pertaining to my boyfriend that I dont. BUT I go along with it without asking TOO many questions. We get to Chris' church and he's all smiling and handsome as usual. Everyone is acting normal I guess lol. We have a great dinner and everyone is joking and playing around. Around the time its time for everyone to go home, I hear someone saying everyone come in here we have ONE more thing to do. So we all meet downstairs in the room we ate in. So I sit down and one of the men from the church is saying EVERYONE ATTENTION UP HERE and I turn around and I see Chris walking towards me, at first I think nothing of it but then..He drops to one knee and I about pee'd on myself lol ALL I hear is "Boo, You know I love you so much. " And then everything kinda goes away and Chris sounds like Charlie Browns teacher. I was told it went a lil like this, "Boo, You know I love you so much. I've been thinking about this for so long and I know this is the right time. Will You Marry Me?" and he pulls out this beautiful box with a white ribbon on it and asks me to open it. I couldnt quite get it open so he does it for me lol and its a white ring case inside(OH AND HE WENT TO JAREDS!!! lmao) I open it and there sits the most beautiful ring I've ever laid eyes on. All I can do is blush and d@mn near pass out because I cant believe its happening and I say yes in my head but not aloud and Chris starts to get nervous so I say Yes too loud lol And everyone starts clapping like in the movies lol...And he hugs me and kisses me and tells me he loves me..And everyone comes and congratulates us, his parents, my parents, my sister and brother, his brother, all the church family. It was so wonderful


And now I am ENGAGED!


He told me he doesn't want to get married until I graduate from college which MAY 2009, so we set the date for june 2009. I will definitly be blogging more!
