BYOB??... help!
My venue does not allow the sale of alcohol. We are inviting 350+ people and are not able to supply that much liquor.
My parents are paying for the entire wedding and said that they want to have a BYOB reception. I feel as if it is tacky, but it's the only way to go. What are your thoughts? And how do you include this on the invite? |

Thanks to lsmith6609, I remembered to post this...
My fiance and I were having the issues with the groomsmen gifts. We didn't want to get something that evey other bride and groom would be getting for their groomsmen. We decided that we were going to get rolling coolers. We could either put our monogram and date or their name on it. I just think it's much more practical. ALL of our groomsmen and ushers LOVE to drink beer. So instead of buying them beer, or giving them a gift card, we thought this would be a much better way to show our appreciation. We are also having a BYOB reception because our venue does not allow for the sale of alcohol. This way, the guys can keep their beer cold too. My fiance has been a groomsmen a few times, 2 times he got bottles of liqour, and the other time he got a mug with his name on it. He's only drank out of it once. Go for practical. They will enjoy it and it will be used over and over again. :) |
