Wedding Invitation
Just bought my invitations!
I found these invitations at www.staccatostationery.com. I only spent a little bit and these have the invitation, accomodations section, and RSVP all attached. All I have to do when I get home is slap some addresses and postage on them and send them out. Woohoo for simple!
For the colors, I'm going to keep the aqua and do the writing in the chocolate brown color. |

Wedding Reception
My linens!
So with the minimal planning I can do while serving in Afghanistan, I've found my linens!
They're from a place called La Tavola Linens out of California. The dotted ones are a Swiss Dot pattern. They'll be in the natural linen color. These will be for the drink table, cake table, and place card table. The next one is the Dandelion pattern. I'm going to do 6 of the 12 tables in this with the other 6 being a mix between a solid blue tablecloth (matching) or solid yellow (also matching). Since this one incorporates all of our colors, I think I've found my match with linens and this makes me so excited. The final one is called Confetti Organza. I don't where or if I'm going to use this one but I love it! |

Inspiration Board
My ideas... most of them...
So this is what I have so far.
The dress: Starla by Maggie Sottero! beautiful, gorgeous, every wonderful word ever created. The bm dresses: Davids Bridal (color: pool). We're buying our bridesmaids dresses for them but we're making sure they like them first. Centerpieces: Lots of mason jars. Some with candles and then a larger one with white and yellow flowers. We're trying to go for as much candle light as possible without burning our venue down. Flowers: Ranunculus with sprits of yellow (maybe yellow lillies). The flowers are going to be done for us as a wedding gift. Place cards: we're going to use wine corks cut in half as place holders. We're big wine fans and frequent Napa Valley quite often so we thought this was a great idea. Drinks: Along with selected alcohol, we're going to have sweetened tea, nonsweetened tea, lemonade, and lavender lemonade. The lavender lemonade we're going to make a day or two before and bring it with. Its one of my favorite drinks so I wanted to share it with everyone. Cake: We're going to have a small cake for us and then different pies for everyone else. This is going to save us a few hundred dollars. We already have our location locked in too. Mission Point, Bowers Harbor Inn. Not too bad for only 2 weeks into planning. :) |
