Okay.

What does a true Christian say about pre-nups. I mean pre-nups??? For a Christian couple in their first marriage together? There's no such thing as divorce for Christians, so why does a christian need to consider a pre-nup?

Yeah, it's also used so that each of them doesn't take on each other's responsibilities... But this is a union, so why do something that shows that "I'm going to take your name and take everything that comes along with it... Oh, by the way, I won't have a union with you when it comes to finances."

Aren't you supposed to become one? In everything?


Please, I need to know.

Okay, this is what I'm afraid of... The church may be getting a new building in the beginning of the year so we decided to go have our wedding in Lynn, MA. We've seen the church already and the hall...

The worst thing about this is now we have to pay for the church and the hall to be rented out. before, we didn't have to pay...
The church is beautiful.

We met with the woman yesterday about all of the catering, the cake, and everything else.

EXPENSIVE!!

With the discount that she gave us because she knows my fiance well... the final cost about 5,300!!

My love and are are taking a trip to NYC for our honeymoon. One week of bliss!!! *Le sigh*

The same person who is doing the catering will offer to do our decorating!!! How exciting. She's awesome, too!!!

So I went to my fiance's computer and did our invitations. I'm so glad that I did!!!

JC Penny and Bed, Bath, and Beyond

Okay, so Thursday of last week, my fiance and I went to go and talk to his friend Giorgio about catering the wedding.

We headed towards Medford, MA to this Brazilian restaurant called 'Oasis.' His friend didn't have the exact knowledge about the wedding details so he grabbed his wife to do all of the figuring out. Here goes...

Menu: Three kinds of meat - Salmon, steak, and chicken. White rice. Salad. All made Brazilian and BBQ style. The desert is a passion fruit mousse - EXCELLENT!!!! There was a couple of things along with that, but I'll get a chance to see it again on Saturday. Along with the cake, there will be a chocolate fountain with fruits!! LOVE THAT IDEA, TOO!!!

Okay, so here's a little tidbit for all those who want a taste of culture...

America: Engagement ring and wedding band for the bride and wedding band for the groom...
Brazil: Wedding band IS the engagement ring for the bride AND the groom...

America: Engagement ring goes on the left hand along with the wedding band on the wedding band...
Brazil: Engagement ring for the bride and groom goes on the right hand, signifying engagement, then on the left on the wedding band.

We had our engagement party this past weekend (9/22/2007). It was a blast to see so many people showing up. We had our neighbors and friends from church come. I invited my family to join the festivities, but none of them came... :(
...nuff said.
When it came for Pastor Soarez to do the sermon, he did it so beautifully. He explained that there are seven billion people on Earth - 3.5 (women and men - EACH) and God took two - One from each side and set them aside for eac other. IT WAS SO BEAUTIFUL. He then said that there are phases in life. I could tell it all, but it would be to long.

Today I changed my profile picture!! It's so beaultiful!

Here's he funny moment - When he was done blessing my engagement ring, he gave it to Hronne (my fiance), and he proceeded to put it on my left hand. People were screaming, 'NO!!! Wrong hand!! The right! It goes on the right!!' We had to explain that this engagement was going to be American (Read the above!)

We got our rings at Kay Jewelers.

So anyway, meu amor e eu (my love and I) don't necessarily have the money to buy me a new dress and his mother wanted to make my dress, so I took this picture out of 'Brides' magazine and she's going to make it. I've seen her work! I'm so excited!!!
