Pre-nups
Okay.

What does a true Christian say about pre-nups. I mean pre-nups??? For a Christian couple in their first marriage together? There's no such thing as divorce for Christians, so why does a christian need to consider a pre-nup?

Yeah, it's also used so that each of them doesn't take on each other's responsibilities... But this is a union, so why do something that shows that "I'm going to take your name and take everything that comes along with it... Oh, by the way, I won't have a union with you when it comes to finances."

Aren't you supposed to become one? In everything?


Please, I need to know.

As a Christian I'm strong believer that quiting is not an option so there no need for a pre-nup.  Divorce is not optional, he you keep God frist in all that you do and seek him for guidece your marriage will be bless for many year. Pre-nup like saying I don't turst you and i don't trust that God has choosen you for me. I hope that helps.

I agree with both of you. Unfortunately in this day and age people don't take weddings seriously enough anymore. It's pretty sad. So I think that's where it's coming from. Look at the stars they are married one minute and divorced the next. It's rather sad.

Christians...the Bible says a man will leave his family and join his wife and they two shall be one. The number 1 divided by two is 1/2, meaning 1/2 and 1/2. So are you guys equal and ready to be 1 in everything? Remember marriage is a spiritual promise including God! And if you guys truly love each other, God will be there. God is love. As far as divorce...if it's not an option, then why do you guys need to figure out how you are going to separate your money? Pre-nups to me means fear...Love casts out all fear. Think about. =-)

I am Christian also and I agree with these other ladies. God is uniting you together and there is no need for a useless piece of paper that divides your marriage right down the middle before you even begin. If you are not trusting your mate with your money then you shouldn't be getting married. Sorry but thats just my personal thoughts.  Besides, pre nups now a days can be challenged in Court anyways and are totally useless....this info came from someone who works in the criminal justice system. Something to think about!
