Ask a Question
Anyone getting their FH a Wedding Day Gift?

Is anyone getting their Groom a gift on your big day?

If so, what are you getting him?

My guy doesn't wear watches and thats the only gift I can think to give. We already live together, and he has everything.
He is a real man's man, he would be THRILLED with the latest power tool. Not very romantic.

I REALLLY want to do Boudior Photos for him, but I don't think I am confident enough :P

I am getting him a unique wrist watch because he has a watch fetish...I am also giving him the Jack Black shaving collection from Nordstroms..it smells SO good.

think of something unique to him..Look around his place or choose a hobby that he has interest in and buy something related to that.

First of all... fijipearl... my fiance works at Norstrom and uses Jack Black..mmmmmmm!!! :)

I'm a photographer and wanted boudoir photos SO bad but I was uncomfortable, too. I thought about it though and realized it was REALLY something I wanted. lol. So I'm having my best friend take them for me. I'll probably direct her a little, but she has a lot of creative talent herself. If you can get over the discomfort ahead of time I bet you would feel SO much more comfortable after you are there and in the midst of it. You'd be surprised how a photographer can make you feel as ease. Especially if you can find a female photog. :)

Even without the bourdoir photos you can do what I'm doing. I'm making a book with romantic poems and quotes and things I love about him, etc... so you can do that with pretty pics or like a scrapbook or pics of the two of you or just you, but with more clothes on. :) Just an idea... good luck!

I am doing the boudoir photos, I am confident that touch-up will cure my insecurities... I am having mytwo of my close friends come along and play music, sip on a little moscato and keep my relaxed.... Keep it fun and try flattering angles if you want to do the boudoiur shoot...(I am doing them next month and will keep you posted, I am nervous too)

I gave my hubby a Movado.  He absolutely LOVES it.  Does your guy wear any type of jewelry???  Cufflinks?

Do you have children? Plan to?  I've seen where a bride gave her groom a pair of his favorite sneaks along with pink or blue booties that she promised to fill.  I thought it was the sweetest!

When u do ur boudoir if ur a lil self conscience do alot of distance shots where it's just ur shadow of ur body and light on a certain body part.. Like if he loves ur legs do a shot of only ur legs puttin the garter on etc etc or if he loves ur lips a shot of ur lips eating a peach ( a la ll cool j lmao)... I will be doing boudoir to surprise him but when we spoke about wedding gifts we decided that we were going to exchange real handwritten love letters on nice stationary... Fits our valentine day wedding theme :-)

Hello ladies!!!
I see a lot of ladies are thinking about the boudoir photos.  I was wondering though, when do you plan to give him this gift?  In the past, I have seen many brides give the best man the gift that was intended for their FH on the day of.  Personally, I planned to send his gift via his best man granted that it was a watch or something of that sort.  We don't plan to see each other before the ceremony.  BUT I would love to do something like photos for him, but I don't want to feel awkward about giving them to someone else to give to him!!!  Please ladies..can you share how you will orchestrate giving him the photos before the wedding??

You could wrap the album, so only your FH can unwrap it. :) You could put a card on the front with his name and inside the card- "For your eyes only". :)

The idea about wrapping it with the "for your eyes only" thing is clever! I probably will give my FH his the night of our wedding. A friend of mine did that too and put pics all over their suite. I love the idea of boudoir and I think a guy would think it was sexy AND romantic and special for HIM, you know?

Still debating. I may put together a basket of stuff. I kinda LOVE theme gifts so I was thinking a pocket or regular awesome watch - to represent the time of his life about to begin lol, monogrammed cufflinks so he never forgets who he is (ha!), and i am actually debating boudoir photos - he's away alot with the military - it will remind him of what's waiting for him at home. :) If not those, I'm trying to think of something else...

dirtndiamonds - girl what can you NOT do? Also, man fiance who works at Nordstrom?! DANGER!

soon2bmrsw, I may steal that bootie idea. Mark wants nothing more than to be a dad. That would be an amazing addition to his gift! THANKS!

OMG my exact same problem, he hates watches and i love guys that wear watched,
really didn't know what to get him, but I am settling for a watch its sensible, timeless and I know he will never replace it lol, so its gonna stand the test of time, and sooner or later he will need a watch!
