Transportation
Car Rental versus Limo Rental
I always wanted a limo for the wedding but they are waaaaayyyyy to expensive for my tastes. I just can't wrap my finger around spending almost a $1000 on something I'll be riding in for, oh maybe 45 minutes tops (and that's pushing it). At the same time, I don't want to just ride in my car. So I think that we've compromised and decided to rent something special. My fiance wanted something like a town car (and have one of our friends drive it while we sit in the back). But I wanted to get an SUV (i.e. Lincoln Navigator) where all the bridemaids and my parents can pile into and that we can drive everyone around in going on tours, rehearsal dinner, etc. So I think I talked him into the Navigator.

What are other people doing for wedding day transportation? Aren't the prices outrageous? It's the one thing that I just don't feel like I can splurge on.

Yeah I agree...the prices are ridiculous!  I think we're just going to use one of my parent's cars and maybe have the wedding party decorate the car we ride in...old fashioned style.  My cousin is getting married this summer and she is getting an old car to ride in and then limos for the party.   The SUV would be cool for fitting everyone in to get around!

well as long as the vehicle looks shiny and nice it'll be fine! besides it'll be decorated! I know where your coming from too about the limos. my fiance owns a lincoln so we are probably going to use that for the wedding party and his bosses mazaraty for us to drive around in and than maybe rent one more vehicle. so much cheaper this way! lincoln navigators are nice. good choice. i think it'll look cool
