hello ladies!

after admiring all of your blogs and creative ideas i've finally decided to take the plunge and create my very first blog! yayayayayayay! i'm a little too excited about this.

let me tell you a little about me...

my name is amy and i'm an american ex-pat (i live in italy). on march 21st, 2009, i will marry my italian "fidanzato" francesco at the castle of the village where we first met.

fyi: just in case you were wondering (don't feel bad... EVERYONE asks) i met francesco AFTER i moved to italy...

francesco and i have been together for 5 1/2 years. we live together with our two VERY spoiled french bulldogs (penelope & gustavo), who will also be present at the wedding!

i've had a really hard time planning the wedding because even though i've lived here for nearly 6 years i'm still very american when it comes to my tastes in weddings! italian weddings are VERY traditional and heaven forbid they should have some new & fresh trends (heeheehee!).

the colors for our wedding are white, red & black (i can already hear the little old ladies gasping... in italy they think that black is only for funerals!)

let's just say that i'm going to SHOCK the heck out of the village on our wedding day! i can't wait...
